Who do I blame in all of this? The Nigerian police of course. We have lost trust and confidence in them. This case is as easy as abc, so far the culprit is not at large.

We must as a people learn to avoid jungle justice, and this is what is practically trying to play out. Uduak is automatically guilty based on facts available, but every other person is assumed a suspect until comprehensive investigation must have been carried out. Can the Nigerian police do this? Corruption won't let them. Time will tell.

She should give it a try. She should even add her granny if still alive. No two cases are processed the same way. Her VO might see reasons why they need to be added.

People should learn how to see when crying. The death of the young lady is quite heartbreaking but we should not see everyone as a criminal because some indices pointed to them. Imagine Akpan's Pastor/Imam who didn't know Akpan was capable of such act and then decided to call him to confirm what had happened and why he would do such. Definitely, he would be getting dragged now as well. This CCCRN people might just have their hands clean as they're claiming. The unfortunate thing in the whole story is that we might never uncover what really happened because of the nature of our corrupt security system.

But my point is, one should be very careful the way we jump on the bandwagon. David did a great job pulling those records and analysing it the best plausible way. In a sane country, that should have been done by the police who would subsequently update the citizens and then follow-up by uncovering the identity of the yet-to-be-known individuals behind those numbers, but then, here we are..

You're quite on point! I was about asking when Nnamdi Kanu will post an old newspaper report about what truly transpired in 1966 where greed by soldiers 95% from a particular tribe led to the first bloody coup in Nigeria. The beneficiary of that coup, by now we all know, actually used his kinsmen to execute this revolt while hiding behind the scenes. By the time the bloodletting was over, they claimed to have rounded off the officers/soldiers who targeted the erstwhile leaders of the nascent nation from other major tribes for execution and never took any action to truly prosecute them with a view to getting them sentenced.

We must remember these bunch of greedy soldiers spared the premier and others who formed part of the previous government that are from their own tribe, both in their region and all over the country.. The rest today is history and the facts are still there for everyone, especially those who still doesn't know the real root cause of the civil war.

Reminescing, the first coup by this particular tribe was indeed needless as they had the most senior and respected army officer in the nation's military from their region before and after independence. They lied and went about subtle ethnic cleansing under the guise of cleaning up the corrupt government of Balewa. And when the counter-coup happened, the right hand man took another wrong decision of declaring a new nation to the detriment of the survival of his people. He ran away when his people needed him most.

Still amazing how some people hate facing the truth but will rather hang on to a cause that is nothing but propaganda founded on greed and lies.
