Liftedhands:As in ehn....if I tell you I still bought that size for N1100 in April with begging from a Yoruba seller ooo... when I got home I couldn't cry. Just because I felt like eating yam. I couldn't even tell my husband I bought for that price, I told him N900 instead and he was like , how much is slice bread again? booqee:The one paining me now is I saw garden eggs some sellers away while on the purchase for 'the expensive yam' but, didn't buy as I expected the price of the yam to knock me out. To go back with my huge harvest was a seemingly long journey. I'm on the ultimate search for garden eggs now Yuneehk:I would be glad...please do Note:- I converse in the little Hausa I know and complete with Dana yana so ya si chi ....meaning my son wants to eat it |
Yuneehk:See me grinning with my purchase in the market, you will think I won a billion dollars... See eyinjuege's method:- 1. Boil your garden egg, and then remove the skin ( for the green and white garden eggs) In my own case, I used aubergines- purple egg plant, and they were very large so I grilled them so it would cook, and the skin would be easy to peel off. 2. Mash the boiled or grilled eggplant. Either use a spatula or spoon, or whatever you have 3. Put palm oil on fire, and when hot, pour in your chopped onions. 4. Let that fry for a while, and then add your already BOILED blended pepper (I use blended tomatoes, rodo- habenero, onion, and tatashe). Let that also fry for a while 5. Put your seasoning - knorr, Maggie or warefa 6. Add your blended crayfish or soaked dry fish or whatever nice meat you prefer. You can avoid this step if you're not a fan of all these in your sauce 6. After 2 minutes or so, add your mashed garden egg and let it fry with everything Note- make sure you boil your pepper/tomato after blending, so it will be thick with little or no water in it. I use smoked fish( shawa ) and Titus for that sizzling aroma |
zaynie:Tie you down at the market bawo, it can't happen instead the seller would be overjoyed with sales |
I was prepared for a knock out price..... @ Yuneehk , zicoraads Raw material purchased @200 each....I prefer buying yams from hausas anytime....
