ojsamuel: Hi Famz.
DD is a twin girl. She hasn't been meeting her developmental milestone. She throws up and shows little or no interest in eating(likes to take a lot of water) asides breastmilk. She turns 1 this month. Her twin brother weighs about 4kg more than her. Last weight check was around 5.8kg, her twin brother almost 6.3kg. She's yet to start crawling while her twin brother, though not yet standing alone or walking, started crawling and standing with support over 2 months ago. She is not as energetic as his twin brother, all she could do is make a 360 degrees turn while sitting with little or no effort to reach for objects beyond her circumference. She always wants to stand when being held but hardly makes attempt of it unaided. Sometimes I feel scared as to whether everything is alright with her cos she looks little in size(weight). The Pediatric says she's Ok and recommended motor skills exercise for her but I'm still kinda worried as this has not seemed to have helped. Any advice pls? Babies grow at their own speed and I agree with the paediatrician... she just might be very reserved Just engage her more.. This one you and Enque and Jazzyjazz are sha now hanging out in this pregnancy thread
BlessedDiva, when you take orange, take the whole insides of the orange, just remove the green and the white peel and eat everything else except the seeds. Since it's gone on this long and if you're pregnant, you can also go to the hospital, they would give you one drug that looks like candle wax to insert and the shyt would come pouring out. Don't strain too much pushing something that doesn't wanna come out before you complicate matters |

Loisemm: Plz don't chew cos your system can't take pieces of food now however small. Lick only and swallow. Minta is OK. I doubt your body will be ready to accept food at all on the first day. Drip should be your food for now. I stand to be corrected. Plz ask for and follow your nurses and/or doc's instructions. |

I shop with aliexpress
I've bought lots of things there and all I've bought are great stuff. In fact people are always shocked when I tell them that a particular gown that I have is from aliexpress. I've been shopping on aliexpress for over 4years now
I've bought one or 2 kids clothes too and they fit fine and the fabrics are great I've bought socks there too. Thicker than what was sold here and cheaper too.
Because you're paying before delivery, be sure to read reviews! Read them well. If there's more negative than positive, then please pass.
Also set your location on the app to Nigeria so that you can equally see reviews from Nigerians that have bought that product.
It's equally easy to get your money back when the item is not delivered or if the item is faulty (you'd have to provide photo proof for this one)
If you want, I can help you shop and have it sent to you (all I have to do is change my own address)
In fact I plan to shop for my son there when I've gathered enough cash |

Graciouscharis: I make mine with vegetables. For a baby, you can blend the carrots and peas or just add soft peas and carrot if your baby can chew it. Melt little butter in a pot, pour in the vegetables and fry for few mins, add water, allow to boil, add couscous and cook for 3 to 5 mins. You can add grounded fish and crayfish like that augustsecret’s own. You can use beef stock or chicken. My children like it. Now that they are older, I prepare it with turmeric powder and shredded chicken or beef and meat balls. |

zaynie: Then help him to strengthen his pincer grips. Some exercises include -pegging. Give him pegs to open and peg the edges of a cup, bowl or even hard paper. He should use only his thumb, fore and middle fingers. - google how to make a lace frame card (all you need is a strong cardboard and a punching machine) then you get him a shoestring and practice lacing. Insist on him using his thumb and his fore finger only to hold the string. - in a small bowl, put a small quantity of raw rice and raw beans and lead him to separate them by sorting into different bowls. Watch that he uses his thumb, fore and middle fingers to pick ( these 3 fingers are needed to write and he has to learn to make them work together and be strong) -print pictures of his favorite cartoon character and encourage him to hold the crayon with these aforementioned fingers. You can also learn colors simultaneously. - print tracing pictures of lines. Vertical, horizontal, circular, diagonal. Once he conquers this and can write them without tracing lines, move on to curves and then spiral lines that curve in many directions. -painting. He should hold the brush with his pincer grip and use more wrist action than shoulders.
All these are play method of teaching kids. It won't take up to 5 minutes and you can leave him to it. If he makes a mess of his rice and beans, insist that he tidies it up himself. You can even do the pegging on the bed before sleep.
If you do this on a steady basis, you'll find that his grip will be stronger and writing all letters or numbers won't seem to be an issue for him. He'll also be good at drawing shapes and objects. |

completey: I had similar experience last Monday. Whenever, I feed him no matter how many minutes I spent burping, he will still regurgitate through the nose and mouth. But on Monday, it went straight back into his lungs. And he pooped and became still. I ran to the hospital with only pant and a wrapper. After observing him ( he came around before I got to the hospital he was on my chest all through and i was rubbing his back. But struggling to breathe.) for about 45 mins they changed their mind about admitting him and placed him on antibiotics because of the food debris that went to his lungs. And advised that I go to the teaching hospital for professional advice on how to care for such situations. I decided to see my office doctor who is a GP at the teaching hospital. Below are his recommendations: 1. Always burp him after or in between feeding. 2. Always back him to maintain an erect position. 3. When he lies down ensure you raise his head more than his body. 4.Always lie him on the left side in case there is another crises the food will not go back to the lungs because the lungs is on the right side. 5. If the incident reoccur again, pat the baby on the back 3 times. It will send out the debris blocking the windpipe and if there is no response or the baby's hands and feet are Blue run to the hospital. Meanwhile, he checked if the baby is Blue by closing all window and when the room is dark he used a white light. Torch to check if the baby is Blue. He also checked if there is a hole in the roof of his mouth. Finally, he prescribed flagyl instead of the antibiotic prescribed in the hospital. Since then, I have noticed a great improvement. I don't burp for long minutes before he belches. Secondly the rate of his nasal regurgitation has reduced and the croaky sound he makes while breathing is gone. Above all measures PRAY. We shall not cast our young ones in Jesus name. |

Congratulations again to the mums in the house......
Please let's embrace Caesarean Section if need be.... it doesn't make you less of a woman....
I will share a personal story......
A house fellowship member...heavily pregnant...edd passed as at last Sunday and when checked was 4cm gone already....i'v been making calls to her sister-in-law who introduced her to the fellowship and I kept getting no show yet..some manageable pains ...they were still waiting for water to break....
So I called this morning and was told she is dripping....hospital straight....
Few hours later, the sis-in-law called and said I should pray along with them because the doctor referred them to another hospital for CS because baby placed her hand on her head and the passage vaginally is too tight ...She said ''she didn't bargain for CS,she rejected it and her sis-in-law would not do CS but, deliver vaginally in Jesus name."
I replied...she would deliver safely in Jesus name...let her go for CS immediately.... the most important thing is mother and child alive and healthy....her reply was Ahhhhhh.
So I called my husband ( as he is the home cell leader ) , explained things to him and told him to call the sis-in-law ( any decision she takes, the Preggy lady would accept) and re-affirm they should go for CS immediately.
People of God, I called and hour later and I heard baby crying in the back ground...she had been delivered via CS...
Hurriedly went to the hospital to visit...the baby not only had one hand on the head..... also had cord round her wrist ( which is the same hand that was on the head)....please picture the scenario.....
The sis-in-law then mentioned another woman they met there that was rejecting CS....her baby passed on in the womb...the same CS she didn't want is what they had to do to bring out the baby.
God help us all...Amen |

Gaily04: Good evening lovely mamas. It's been ages..... am loyal
Please I need help
I have had implanon since June 2016, I had not had any issues with spotting not to talk of bleeding. Early this January I was down, went for series of test, PT inclusive, it was finally malaria and typhoid. Started medication (camosunate and antibiotics-i think ciprofaxacin), that was the beginning of my wahala. Two days later, I started spotting at nights for three days, thereafter it became full blown and lasted for another three days. I thought it was AF, so waited patiently for February but it didn't come as expected. It came two weeks late and lasted for two days. I took it in good fate, not until it came again last Sunday, it's been on for over a week. Although it's not the heavy flow. I met a reproductive health officer today and was given Microgynon ED Fe, a contraceptive pill to take for 28days and things will normalise. Honestly, afraid dey catch me because I don't want to make matters worse.
Please help the ministry because Dh is suffering. Thank you very much.
cc all mamas, nurse kaffy, dunasy Been a loooonggg while .. Trust family is great... where you able to see a FP officer...so you can discuss the effects of the malaria and thypoid medication to them... could be a side effect /not of the drugs..... Asked Dr Google too yet.... |

Still on same topic...
My sister works in a financial institution and I sent her the narrative here.
This evening, she sent me this:-
" This is so real oooo
A colleague just told me that this happened to her yesterday morning.
They had five passengers ,wiped off their accounts ,checked their text messages and mobile banking app to ensure no one lied about the amount they had, took all their phones ,then robbed aboniki balm after that" |
