justwise:

I’m not an emotional person but this one got me.

I’m really sorry to read this, be strong and take sometime to get yourself together again.

Please get the death certificate and attach it to the application for your kids and your mother Inlaw then explain in the form what happened..

Apply for dependant visa for your kids and your mother inlaw and explain in details why you need your mother inlaw(considering what happened) Request that they issue her visiting visa if dependant visa is not feasible.

Give this a try as this is an exceptional situation,

Does your mother inlaw work or doing business?

My mother in law doesn’t work, as she’s over 70 years.

Thank you all for the condolence messages. I can’t even think straight for now.

Thank you all for sharing my pains,I’m grateful. To be honest, I can’t leave my kids for anyone(crying), I can’t even concentrate any longer without them. I just pray there’s a way to get my mother in law a visa, my hubby was her major support(crying). I will try the 2 years visiting visa. Thank you all.

Good day house, please, I need advice. I came to the Uk Jan this year to study a 2 Years program. I am a married woman with kids so my husband and I planned that he would apply for dependant visa with the kids by March. Unfortunately due to the lock down, they couldn’t get the biometrics done and the worst happened,my hubby died from covid 19 related disease last week.My life shattered but I have to keep moving

I am planing to return to Nigeria to get the kids for biometrics but my heart bleeds for my husband after all his sacrifices . I am considering applying for his mum so she can help with the kids while I run around. Please, how can I go about this?? There’s enough fund to cover her maintenance fee.

@Just wise and all kindly advise.

Biometrics - Dec 16th.
Passport collected - January 2nd

I hope to be part of the people that'd help others get there as well...

Once again, I really appreciate this thread.

Thank you @justwise @zoey1 @lagosismyhome and many others

Congrats Nedu. I am a silent member and We did biometrics same day but I used Super Priority so I got mine the following day. I was just quietly praying for all that had not gotten response and i’m glad yours came through. Thanks to all the gurus in the house.

Good morning house, i’m a newbie here and have gone through majority of the pages. I must confess you all are doing a great job. Please, I need an advice.

I have my first degree in Microbiology and have 7 years experience working as technical consultant with NGO on immunizations. The thing about my organization is no matter the number of years you spend so far u’re not a Doctor/ Nurse in the health section you can never become a specialist.

I want to be relevant in my field as I feel somehow inadequate hence my resolve to do a nursing degree of like 2 years.

I’m considering Canada because of affordable tuition and the fact that some institutions give admission for after degree nursing to international students.

Please my gurus in the house, do you think I can be approved? I asked because most of the pages have read seem to be on Masters program.

Thanks you all for your kind response.
