Good morning house. i already applied for B1/B2 visa twice last year, June and October, but was denied. I have again now gotten an invitation in a first tier educational institution for a short program of 5days, of which i was advised to apply for visit visa as i-20 can't be issued to me as i do not need students F 1 visa, for such short program.
Now my question is this, any hope of getting it right this time around, even with this kind of situation. I know how it feels to have tried it twice and failed, though i have learnt from past failures, coupled with my exposures here. I now know better! Kindly add your advices and comments pls. Lagos or abuja? Which is better? I have been to both in my past failed attempts.

This is just an advice, I overheard a VO telling a lady April 2015, that she will keep getting denied if she keeps re-applying within short periods and going to US for different reasons. Please don't be desperate except u wan relocate mischievously. However if that's d plan then you are on the wrong thread. This is only for legit visitors to d US.

There's a number of factors... Most important are your ties. And just because someone says it on Nairaland doesn't mean they said it at the visa window.

I got my visa without lying and I believe the same apply for most of us here.... The V.O's knows we are not all liars.

They are one of the biggest airline in the U.S and the World,They use Boeing 787 for that route and I believe you will land in IAH(Houston) and probably connect from there. flight time is 12hrs 45mins.

Nothing to assist with.
You were denied because you lied you were married for the sake of a visa and you were caught out .
Your previous history will come up, however your current circumstances will also play a role in your current application.

So go ahead and apply, read this thread well.Travelling to the US is not a do or die affair but if you package again you will be denied.

Good morning my people. I am in the process of filling my ds-160, I am a little bit confused where i need to input my primary occupation or school name. Presently, I am a graduate student/researcher in one of the University in Cyprus. I owned my business in Nigeria and work in the prep school here in exchange for 50% scholarship on my tuition and free accommodation. my problem is what to fill as my primary occupation. should i fill my study as my primary occupation or should i filling my work in Nigeria? if i fill my school/ studies, can still input monthly income in Nigeria or should I tick not applicable?
note i am going for a conference base on my research topic( thesis ).

there's always a possibility that;
1. You will get a visa or
2. You will be refused a visa.
when you have misrepresented previously, the possibility of no.2 happening gets greater than no.1
