Romance / Re: "My Wife Is Not My Family"- by dvdaddy2002: 9:45pm On Jul 03, 2023
Animegirl:
If you believe in the concept of an alpha male or superior man, it is essential to understand that treating your partner with respect and care is vital in maintaining a healthy relationship.

If you don't treat your wife well, how do you expect your wife to take care of you when old age sickness comes? Funny, how most men deceive themselves by saying "my wife is not my family" if you have such mentality you're a fool.

Similarly, subscribing to the notion that all men are naturally polygamous does not justify cheating or engaging in unfaithful behavior. Cheating on your partner can lead to severe consequences in the future, including the possibility of being abandoned when you need support the most.

Furthermore, having multiple partners and not taking responsibility for your children can result in strained relationships with your offspring as they grow older. Neglecting your parental duties may lead to your children not providing the care and attention you might need when you reach old age.

Infact I rather marry a simp, who loves me and take care of my needs than marry self proclaim Alpha and Omega with so much toxicity angry

That's the issue with some women. Marry the simp to take of them and their children and when he can't provide sufficient excitement they need to stay sexually active they go ahead and fu@k the Alpha male. Or most spend the lot of their prime fu#king alpha males and when the clock starts ticking they'll start looking for a simp that would "Accept them for who they are". Hence provide security for them and their children.

Business / Re: DM For Price: Why Do Online Vendors Do This? by dvdaddy2002: 8:21am On Sep 26, 2020
For those of us running online business... You would know that price is Relative to the customer or client in question. This is not law or rule but a business strategy.

Personally as a business man I view the personalities and behavior of a customer before telling him or her the price. It's just business.

Apart from online or E marketing, most of us who go to market a lot would notice the variation in prices per customer. E.G Those meat sellers. If they know sey u be JJC they can sell for you meat worth of N500 for N4000. But when they see regular daily customers they know better than to charge them at a high price.

This business strategy mostly applies for those goods and services that don't have a fixed price. E.G A person offering services for Graphics Designing... The same amount as a Graphics Designer that I will charge a big company like Milo to design something for them is not the same amount I would charge a petty farmer. You may call it scamming but I am just following one of the first rules of business. "Profit at all cost"

And also DM for price is sometimes used to discourage all those fellow business owners and competitors who would only ask price and location to compare prices.

Most of those ranting here don't even own or run an online business. If not you'll know how it feels when you post price and they'll just type ok and nice for your Advert and vamous ...

If you know u know... I rest my case.

Politics / UK To Commit 47.4m Pounds On Nigeria’s 2019 Elections by dvdaddy2002: 10:59pm On Sep 21, 2018
The British Deputy High Commissioner in Nigeria, Laure Beaufils, has, over the weekend, disclosed that the UK governmentwill spend about 47. 4 million pounds on Deepening Democracy in Nigeria Programme Phase 2 (DDiN2), saying that the DDiNs is a programme funded under the Department for International Development (DFID), arm of the Commission and is geared towards supporting democratic governance around the world with focus on Nigeria.

Beaufils said this during an interactive session with journalists to mark the 2018 International Day of Democracy, tagged, ‘Deepening Democracy in Nigeria’.

According to her, the UK government will be contributing significantly to the goal of free, fair, credible, and peaceful 2019 elections in Nigeria and to ensure this, the British Deputy High Commission in Lagos has outlined measures that will support the success of the polls next year.

“The UK is a long-term partner and friend of Nigeria in all spheres, including politics. The Prime Minister, Theresa May’s, visit to Nigeria is a testament to the fact that the two countries maintain a healthy bi-lateral relationship. However, the UK has no preference for any party or candidate, but making frantic efforts to give advocacy and campaigns to support citizens-led groups to curb electoral violence”, Beaufils added.

Speaking also, Programme Coordinator, Deepening Democracy in Nigeria (DDiN2), Damilare Babalola, stated that the British Deputy High Commission is working earnestly with relevant stakeholders to deepen democracy and to, within the next six months, ensure free and fair polls and best elections outcomes.

She said the DFID-UK funded programme, which has been in existence for the past four years will be working with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), and relevant security agencies, among other relevant bodies, to ensure a successful 2019 elections in Nigeria, and to also improve voters-participation, participatory governance and electoral process during polls.

“DDiN is an on-going process that supports civil society organizations and provides periodic intervention with the public.

The body also works with relevant stakeholders to ensure an all-inclusive political process in Nigeria, as well as reaches to the grassroots to ensure issue-based politics, peaceful and non-violent political process come 2019”, Damilare said, while speaking on how to curb vote-buying among politicians and the little INEC or UK government can do, if there is no assistance from other stakeholders to ensure thugery and violence are reduced to the barest minimum.

For a fact, vote-buying is a threat to peaceful elections if not contained and I urge all stakeholders in Nigerian politics to eschew all forms of vote-buying and threats to peaceful elections, come 2019.”

Sports / Big Match Fixture Real Madrid Vs Roma by dvdaddy2002: 2:57pm On Sep 19, 2018
Real Madrid have won a record three successive Uefa Champions Leagues and they kick off a new era in the competition at home to a Roma side who are looking to build on their own impressive performances last season.
Having become the first side to successfully retain the Uefa Champions League in 2016/17, Madrid made it three titles in a row last season – just the fourth time in European Cup history a side has triumphed in three or more successive campaigns. That proved a swansong for both coach Zinédine Zidane and talismanic forward Cristiano Ronaldo, who both departed the Santiago Bernabéu in the summer.

Roma, meanwhile, reached the semifinals in 2017/18, producing a memorable comeback to defeat Barcelona in the quarterfinals before losing to eventual runners-up Liverpool in the last four.

Previous Meetings
The sides have become familiar Uefa Champions League foes in the 21st century – all ten of their meetings have come from September 2001 onwards.

The first six fixtures all came in the group stage, Madrid picking up four points from their two games against Roma in the 2001/02 first group stage and all six in 2004/05, while each club won their away games in the 2002/03 first group stage.

Roma, however, ousted Madrid in the 2007/08 round of 16, winning both legs 2-1.

Most recently, Madrid got the better of Roma in the last 16 of their triumphant 2015/16 campaign, winning 2-0 both away and home with Ronaldo on target in each game.

Form Guide
Real Madrid

Madrid are holders and 13-time champions. Semifinalists or better in each of the last eight seasons, this is Real Madrid’s 49th European Cup campaign – more than any other side.

Third in last season’s Liga, the Spanish giants are in the Uefa Champions League group stage for the 23rd time – a competition high they share with Barcelona and Porto.

In 2017/18, Madrid finished second in their group – the second year running they had been runners-up in their section – but went on to beat Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus and Bayern München in the knockout rounds before Gareth Bale (2) and Karim Benzema scored in the 3-1 final victory against Liverpool in Kyiv.

Madrid’s six-game winning run against Italian opponents was ended by Juventus – who they beat in the 2016/17 Uefa Champions League final in the middle of that run – in last season’s quarterfinal second leg. Madrid were beaten 3-1 at home, but squeezed through having won 3-0 in Turin.

That home defeat by Juve ended Madrid’s five-game unbeaten run against Italian visitors at the Bernabéu (W4 D1).

Now coached by Julen Lopetegui, the Merengues lost 4-2 to Atlético Madrid in the Uefa Super Cup in Tallinn in August, denying them a third straight triumph in the competition.

The Atlético defeat was only Madrid’s fourth in their last 33 European fixtures, winning 22 and drawing seven. Those draws include the 2016 final against Atlético Madrid, which Madrid won on penalties in Milan.

The Merengues have won 34 of their last 42 Uefa Champions League home matches, losing just two – 4-3 to Schalke in their 2014/15 round of 16 second leg and against Juventus. They still won both ties on aggregate.

Roma

Third in Serie A in 2017/18, Roma are in the group stage for an 11th time and the fourth in five years.

Roma, runners-up in the 1983/84 European Cup, reached the semifinals last season, losing to Liverpool. They finished top of a group including Chelsea and Atlético Madrid, before beating Shakhtar Donetsk and Barcelona in the knockout rounds – the latter particularly memorable, as a 4-1 away defeat was followed by a 3-0 victory at the Stadio Olimpico – before succumbing to Liverpool.

However, Roma lost all three away matches in last season’s knockout rounds – conceding 11 goals in the process – and are on a four-game losing streak away from home in Europe having also gone down 2-0 at Atlético on matchday five. They won only one of their six away games in last season’s Uefa Champions League – 2-1 at Qarabag on matchday two – and have tasted victory in only three of their last 17 European away encounters (D6 L8).

The Giallorossi have lost on four of their last five trips to Spain, the exception a 4-0 success at Villarreal in the 2016/17 Uefa Europa League round of 32 in which Edin Džeko scored a hat-trick. The match is set to kick off today at 9:00pm west African time

Politics / 2019: Buhari Will Get Double His Votes In 2015, Gov Bello Boasts by dvdaddy2002: 3:59pm On Sep 17, 2018
…Says 10 LGAs in Kogi sacked by flood
…As APC receives decampees from PDP, ADC, ADP, SDP

ABUJA- KOGI State Governor, Alhaji Yahaha Bello on Monday boasted that President Muhammadu Buhari who will fly the flag of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the 2019 Presidential election will get overwhelming votes that will double the votes he got in 2015 election.

President Buhari and Gov. Yahaya Bello
The governor also said that about ten local government areas of Kogi State have been sacked by the ravaging flood which has forced the government to set up nine Internally Displaced camps for the displaced persons.

Governor Bello disclosed this after meeting behind closed doors with President Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Fielding questions from State House correspondents after the meeting, Governor Bello said he was at the State House to brief the President on the flood situation in the state as well as the security situation.

He commended the Federal Government for her intervention but lamented that the level of disaster was much that required more relief materials from the government.

According to him, “As usual I came to brief Mr. President on situation report and the happenings in my state periodically. I am sure you are all aware of the flood problem that is happening all over the country and Kogi is worst hit being the confluence state, confluence of the two rivers.

“So, we are worst hit and I needed to come and present the report to him myself. Even though I sincerely appreciate Mr President for deploying relevant agencies like NEMA (National Emergency Management Agency) and all the security agencies to come to our aid.

“As I speak to you, NEMA is on their way to Lokoja to access the level of damage and we received substantial amount of relief materials so far, it is not enough. I need to present the report to him as well and also to tell him about the security of the state and how we are doing.

“We are doing very well and I thank all the security agencies who have been assisting us to make sure we curb insecurity in the state. Do these are the issues that brought me to come and explain to Mr. President.”

On his efforts to tackle the flood disaster, he said, “We experience this periodically. 2012, we were worst hit, we are praying that the situation will not exceed that this year.

“We are normally proactive to sensitize the people and evacuate them to high ground. We have created over 33 camps in Kogi State. As I speak with you, between nine to ten local governments are under water, you can imagine the pressure on our resources.

“So, we are doing our best in collaboration with federal agencies and security agencies to make sure that we evacuate them to high grounds, IDP camps and provide security to them and relief materials including medicals.”

Commenting on the 2019 election and the chances of President Buhari and the APC, he said the party will have overwhelming victory in the elections.

He said, “This is the era where a lot of hopes even if it is false. People build their castle in the air. You can see that Mr. President is good to go. I want to assure Nigerians that the vote for Mr. President in 2019 is going to double that of 2015.

“In my own state, I can assure you, take my words, we are going to have all the twenty five House of Assembly members, all the nine House of Representatives members and all the three Senators for APC in this 2019 election.

“We did it in all other states and in my state you can see in the last by-election the gap when the election was conducted in 2015 between the APC winner and the PDP was just about 7,000, but in this last by-election, we doubled the gap, so that is an indication.

“Two, by my style of leadership in Kogi State, we met Kogi State House of Assembly, APC in minority, we have overwhelming majority today, we have less than 85,000 registered in Kogi State for APC, as at today we have over a million membership in the state.

“Yesterday (Sunday) we had a decamping rally where SDP state chapter collapsed, ADP, ADC, PDP majority of them including Kwamkwasiya, they burnt their cap yesterday, they drove away the SDP horse yesterday. So that is the movement and it is across the nation not only in Kogi state.”

Reminded that in Facebook it was said the President will be defeated in 2019 polls, Bello said, “I think there is a polling unit in the Facebook, so they cast their votes in the Facebook. On ground I can assure you of total victory.”

NYSC / Ambode Advises Corps Members On Projects by dvdaddy2002: 2:05pm On Sep 17, 2018
The Lagos State Governor, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode has urged corps members posted to the state to look inward and create projects that would positively affect people in their host communities.

Ambode gave the advice on Monday in Lagos, during the closing ceremony of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) 2018 batch “B” stream 2 orientation course.

” The major objective of the NYSC is to foster unity amongst the diverse ethnic groups of our great country through its vibrant youths.

“I encourage you to create visions and projects that will positively affect the lives of people in the host communities you would be posted to.

“I also enjoin you to be good ambassadors of the NYSC and the country at large, most especially in the forthcoming general elections in 2019, which most of you would participate in as adhoc staff,’ he said.

The state governor encouraged the corps members to take advantage of the Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED), an initiative of the state government and the NYSC to prepare them for self-employment

He urged them to take the post-camp training seriously, to enable them to access loans through the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund, which was established to enable youths to start their businesses.

Ambode’s speech was delivered by Mr Oluseye Oladejo, the state’s Commissioner for Special Duties and Intergovernmental Relations.

In his address, Mr Muhammed Momoh, Lagos State Coordinator, NYSC, appealed to the state government to help the scheme realise its plans to construct its permanent orientation camp in the state.

” I wish to appreciate the governor for being a worthy father and for the support given to the scheme at all times.

“While we appreciate the allocation of land for the construction of a befitting orientation camp at Agbowa, I wish to implore the governor to use his good office to make the dream a reality.

“This will ameliorate the serious challenge of space constraints we face in the present facility,” he said.

Momoh advised the corps members to accept postings for their primary assignments in good faith, while carrying out their duties with all sense of patriotism.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that 2,152 corps members comprising 1143 male and 1009 female were posted to Lagos for the exercise. (NAN)
