Politics / See Buhari’s Reactions To Obasanjo’s Attack by dvogueblog: 5:57am On Jan 21, 2019
President Muhammadu Buhari, Sunday night lambasted former President Olusegun Obasanjo for attacking and his government.

Obasanjo has compared the All Progressives Congress (APC) administration to that of the Abacha era.

Reacting, presidential spokesman, Garba Shehu, in a statement said: “The sixteen-page letter the former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, wrote to President Muhammadu Buhari and released this afternoon is the last push by desperate politicians who can’t handle the President politically and have resorted to subterfuge.

Our first message to the former President is that he needs a good doctor for good treatment and to say to him, “Get well soon.”

As repeatedly said of him, since Chief Obasanjo left office in 1979, he never let every succeeding leader of the country function freely, and this included the one he personally handpicked against all known rules drawn up by the party that put him in the office of the President. But Chief Obasanjo is jealous because President Buhari has more esteem than him and the sooner he learns to respect him the better.

It is a notorious fact that in dealing with any leader that he failed to control, he resorted to these puerile attacks. As the grand patron, more correctly the grandfather of corruption as described by the National Assembly, Chief Obasanjo released today’s letter purely for the reason of rescuing his thriving corruption establishment.

The elections starting in February will be free and fair as promised the nation and the international community by President Buhari.

What Chief Obasanjo and his co-travelers in the PDP should expect is that from the outcome, we will teach them a political lesson that they will never forget. This margin will be much bigger than we had in 2015.

Claims that President Buhari and the All Progressives Congress (APC) have embarked on the president’s “self- succession project, by recruiting collation officers who are already awarding results based on their projects to actualise the perpetuation agenda, in which the people will not matter and the votes will not count” is not only utterly false, but a copious note from the book on the failed third term agenda of President Obasanjo.

The man, President Buhari who has taken Nigeria’s reputation to a higher level internationally and is working hard to improve on the records of elections he found in place cannot descend to the level that Obasanjo has himself sunk.

As for his attacks of the administration’s records in fighting corruption, what the former President said is no more than evidence that President Buhari’s war against corruption is succeeding. They thought it is all a joke.

A leader who took USD 16 billion “upfront” to supply electric power yet failed to add a single megawatt to the national grid and to date, there is no trace of the money is jittery that he will be called to account. He is a coward.

Chief Obasanjo, manifesting a confused state of mind blames President Buhari for the fall of Libya into a failed state and the unholy alliance between the Boko Haram terrorists and the ISIS, while at the same time calling it an African problem, saying “the struggle must be for all West African, Central African, North African and most East African States,” which really does not amount to saying anything new.

Nigerians looked up to him as a role model and a ray of hope to ethical and clean leadership until President Yar’Adua called him out to explain what happened to the sixteen billion dollars of taxpayer’s money. It is clear that with him sitting on top of the heap of corruption, he is no different from the crowd he leads.

This language of his 16-page letter, likening President Buhari to General Sani Abacha, a man he dreaded and the one who jailed him under military laws is most unfitting from a former President of Nigeria.

The claim that President Buhari has put in place rigging machinery is both outlandish and outrageous. We are unable to get the words to describe a 90-year old liar, except to say that by the publication of this tissue of lies against the President, he Obasanjo, not the President will fall from everyone’s esteem.”

Career / Four Phases Of Developmental Growth by dvogueblog: 11:12am On Nov 19, 2018
The dictionary remains the only place where  success comes  before work, success may be "sweat-less", but it is never "effort-less". There is no way a man will achieve success without a measure of effort  on his part. somethings has to give away.

Distractions have to be side-lined. There are certain things that would want to be audiences of your indulgence and there are things that would want to patronize your excesses. you must learn to ignore such enticements.

That is the only way to constantly remain forward motion. i'm Abdulrasak .A., i will be taking you on

Politics / BREAKING: Court Reduces Dariye’s Jail Term From 14 To 10 Years by dvogueblog: 5:07pm On Nov 16, 2018
Appeal Court in Abuja on Friday, reduced the jail term of the former governor of Plateau State, Joshua Dariye from 14 years to 10 years. Dariye was sentenced to 14 years in prison by the high court sitting in Abuja in June 12 2018.

The former governor was a serving senator before he was convicted on charges of criminal breach of trust and criminal appropriation of the state’s funds running to over N2billion. According to Channels Television, the appeal court said the sentence of 14 years for the counts was excessive especially because the appellant is a first-time offender.

The three-man panel judgement was read by Justice Stephen Adah who also quashed the sentence in count 12. The panel held that Dariye should not have been sentenced on the charge by the lower court which had earlier found him not guilty.

The court also quashed count 23 because the persecution did not prove beyond reasonable doubt that the former governor diverted the funds of the state to purchase a house in London. His sentence was reduced to 10 years for each count which is to run concurrently.

Crime / Indonesian Woman Gets Jail Term After Exposing Boss’ Sexual Harassment by dvogueblog: 4:59pm On Nov 16, 2018
Indonesia’s Supreme Court has sentenced a school administrator to 6 months in jail after she exposed her boss’s sexual harassment. According to Reuters, Baiq Nuril Maknun, 37, recorded a telephone conversation with the head teacher of the school who she accused of making repeated unwanted sexual advances towards her.

She was convicted of recording and spreading “indecent” material under the country’s electronic information and transactions law, her lawyer Joko Jumadi said. She was also fined 500 million rupiah ($34,000). In the recording, the principal shared very graphic details about his affair with the school’s treasurer. Maknun’s co-workers later convinced her to release the recording in a bid to expose the man. A colleague had used the recording to lodge a complaint against the head teacher.

Speaking to Thomas Reuters Foundation on Thursday, court spokesman Suhadi said: “The Supreme Court judges were satisfied that she has violated the law”. The top court’s judgement, which was delivered in a closed-door deliberation in September 26, overturned a 2017 acquittal from a lower court. The judgement was only made available this week.

Jumadi said Maknun, a mother of three, would file a judicial review to challenge the court’s ruling. Jumadi said: “She is a victim and she just wants justice.”

Amnesty International’s Indonesia executive director Usman Hamid said in a statement:

“It appears a woman was criminalised simply for taking steps to redress the abuse she experienced. It is a travesty that while the victim of the alleged abuse has been convicted… little if any action appears to have been taken by the authorities to investigate what appear to be credible claims.”

Speaking on the issue, Maidina Rahmawati from the Institute for Criminal Justice Reform, a Jakarta-based non-profit, said:

“This case is just an example of how the law, which is too vague, could be used against vulnerable women who were trying to protect themselves.”

Your Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari

As madact Ambassador on make A Difference Against Corruption Today, it has expanded my passion to speak. It saddens my heart that after 58 years all sectors of our social and economic lives has been plunged in failure. Over the years, millions of graduates continue to wade through trying times, while youths with creative artistry, artisans and our young women have been denied the true values of nationhood, self esteem has been destroyed, many weep and sleep on a daily basis without a meal

Sir,

The funds recovered from looters in the past fews years of your government is 739 billion Naira, Abacha recovered returned loot is 322,000,000 dollars equivalent of 112billion naira Totalling 851 billion naira. why was the Abacha returned loots shared? Who are the beneficiaries? Why wasn’t the returned and recovered loots used to finance some of the basic social problems like electricity, repairing our refineries and creating jobs for our youths, build a world class hospital that can reduce the travelling expenses of Nigerians travelling abroad for medical treatment?
Sir, if our hospitals were well equipped, you won’t be involved in foreign trips for medical check ups. When you eventual leave office, which hospital would be standard enough to offer you this services and to other Nigerians? Who are the looters that returned the said amount ? How come they are not facing criminal charges or being jailed? How come politicians alleged with 232 billion naira cases of corruption are working for your re-election?

Is it Only those that are with you, that are the presumed saints? Your Excellency, our budgets for the last 3 years of your government 2016 (6.07 trillion),2017 (7.298trillion, )2018 ( 9.12 trillion)

Total 22.488 trillion naira, yet we do not have access to ordinary clean water, with escalated hunger in the land. In 2015, Nigerian was ranked 3rd among the poorest nations index but today in 2018, Nigeria is now ranked number number 1 people living in poverty in world overtaking India .That is why Nigerians are complaining.”

Career / How To Break All Barriers To Reach Your Dreams by dvogueblog: 3:51pm On Nov 15, 2018
During the journey of life, everyone goes through times of failure, pain and suffering. However only those who have the guts to get up and continue with their journey, emerge victorious.

At every point in life, there will always be a serpent in your life who's trying to pull you down. Now it depends on you whether you are strong enough to fail that serpent, or weak enough to fall for its malicious plan.

No matter how hard you try, there will always be someone who is not satisfied with you. All you got to do is believe in yourself. For unless you believe in yourself, you cannot expect others to believe in you.

The more you care about what the world says, the tougher it will be to find success. But the moment you decide to pay a deaf hear to the rest and just believe in yourself, you've already found the right path to success.

All your life you get a chance to be three persons; one-the person who dreams about something to happen, two-the person who gets up and works hard to make something happen, and three-the person who sits back and envies the second person.

Break all barriers to reach your dreams. Don't ever let yourself be dominated by the dogma of society.

Even life gives you a new day to live each day. This just shows how much the world wants to give you chances to succeed.

Career / Don’t Run The Length Of The Field Without Making An Impact by dvogueblog: 3:44pm On Nov 15, 2018
The rays of light have no respect for age. Therefore, in life there are no age mates, only illumination colleagues; because age mates are not always mates and classmates do not always end up in the same class.

There are usually two types of player in every industry -THE CRITICAL MASS and THE LEADER LABELS. It has been observed that 90% of trade in any industry is controlled by 15% of the players in the industry.

Those players are called the LEADER LABELS .Because of the combined strength of the leader labels. The critical mass usually exists to make up the numbers.
I have taught before that in life, you either pick a jersey or buy tickets, it is easier to buy a ticket than to a jersey.

Getting a jersey requires a greater measure of training and discipline. I have also observed that there are certain people who have jersey but do not differ much from those who have tickets. Such people only run the length of the field without making an impact. A footballer asking for the ball for 90 minutes is definitely not relevant;

He is simply a mobile spectator. All he has is privilege of presence and not the evidence of impact!
There are people who merely make up the numbers in their industries, their inferiority and non-performance establishes the superiority of the leader label, because superiority needs inferiority to exist.

The position of the leader label is however not invincible .That a man is doing well is does not mean he will always do well.it takes work to go up, but more work to stay up. Indolence and indulgence cannot maintain the result of diligence.
