There was tension in many cities in the North on Thursday as security agents made efforts to prevent outbreak of protests over an amateur film said to be offensive to Muslims.

In Jos, Plateau State; Kaduna in Kaduna State and Kano, Kano State, security operatives intensified patrols, especially at flashpoints in the cities.

The PUNCH learnt on Thursday that fundamentalists in the North had been holding meetings to kick against the film which on Tuesday caused riots in Benghazi, Libya; and Egypt.

The United States Ambassador to Libya, Chris Steven, and three other American diplomats were killed on Tuesday by gunmen who attacked the US consulate in Benghazi.

But less than 24 hours after the Inspector-General of Police, Alhaji Mohammed Abubakar, put the Police on the alert nationwide, the US advised its citizens in Nigeria not to take the threat of attacks by extremists lightly.

“Extremists may attempt to target US citizens and other Westerners in Nigeria. The US Mission in Nigeria strongly urges US citizens in Nigeria to consider their personal security and to keep personal safety in the forefront of their planning,” the embassy warned in a statement on Thursday.

The statement on the Embassy’s website added, “The US Mission reminds citizens of the continued threat of terrorist attacks, demonstrations, and other violent actions against US citizens and interests overseas.

“Violent and deadly demonstrations and attacks occurred in Cairo, Egypt, and Benghazi, Libya, in the past 24 hours, including a lethal attack against the US Consulate in Benghazi

“Last week, extremists attacked cellular telephone towers in Northern Nigeria, damaging over 30 towers and degrading cellular telephone and internet communications nationwide.

“Additional attacks could further weaken the ability of citizens to communicate through cellular telephones and the internet.

“Land line telephone communications in Nigeria remain limited. US citizens should attempt to arrange for multiple means of communication during emergencies.”

I agree with you completely. Men that do such should be ashame of themslves. I am not perfect either way. I have made lots of mistakes in my marriage. I wish I could turn back the hand time, I will definately treat her better inspite of her many short coming. But God does not delight in divoice. He wants commitments. But both side must play their role as ordained by God not human wisdom. The day the hand say it want to do the work of the leg, there will problem. Women are to subject to their own husband. Infact the bible says their desire shall be to their husband. Gen 3 v 16. Don't forget that satan has always been going against God and woman has made themselves available for satan use. Today you hear of woman revolution, woman libration and so on. Questions, were they ever been in bondage? You can't be in a boat heading toward light house then you tell the light house to move for you to go through. You know the result will be a crashed boat. You can break principle, rather you are the one that will suffer it. Paul apostle says women should keep silent in the church. Queen vashti was replace because she disobey her husband. Infact the chief urged the king to sanction her immediately so that their own wife at home will not take after the queen step. Here is my dilemma.

A yoruba man married to a young middle belt lady. Did all my best to satisfy her. But she constantly ignore her duty as a wife. hardly cook. sweep maybe once a month. sex is once or twice a month. dont want my family at all. tell me to do dishes, go buy stuffs on the street. funny thing, i pay all bills in the house. she stays at home. when i reacted, stood my ground,slapped her in some cases. she revolted and packed. her family resulted that that is how yoruba people behave. they only pick at my action and turn every thing to tribal war.

Is it wrong to marry another tribe. I've seen some wonderful inter-tribe marriage that works fine. Marriage that is based on understanding and respect. maybe there is more that meet the eye.

However, as a doctor friend who is actively invovle in the strike told me that Lagos state govt dont own them salary, he said fashola pay thier salary promptly including the month of april 2012.

It actually grief my soul when some people black mail good things. Im not a member of redeemed church, but i've heard the G.o says the school was primarily setup for full time pastor children whose 3 children from each pastor is entitled to scholarship from primary to tertiary institution.

About the Tithe.

Where do you think the running of the church administrative expenses come from? Full time pastors in redeemed have the best pay structure than any other church in nigeria, even far better than Nigerian structure. If you retire as a full time pastor, you are entitled to your gratuity, your pension start immediately which include all allowances i.e a full package as though you are still at work till you die. Even at death, your wife will continue to be paid your pension till she die. tell me if comapny in nigeria runs such structure.

Workers in the church, especially those in the camp have free accomodation. Anyway you can satisfy human being, even when Jesus laid down his life for all for the love He has for us, we still crucify him.
