A slightly more likely deal at Manchester United is reported in The Daily Mail, who claim Benfica have their beady eyes on Anderson, and that he may be a 'key figure' in United's move for Angel di Maria.

The Argentine winger has been subject of some interest from United, among others, and The Mail claims Benfica want the full £38million of his release clause.

However, a compromise deal could be possible, with Anderson included in a swap deal - plus £10million.

And if our laughably poor maths are right this time, that values Anderson at £28million.

Elsewhere in United gossip, The Daily Mirror breezily reports that United will have to stump up the nasty end of £35million if they want to buy Ajax striker Luis Suarez.
