For Scotland, there was provision for a referendum in the British parliamentary system. For Pakistan and India, nothing of such happened. A referendum is a great way to show that a country is democratic. The 1999 Constitution does not make provisions for a referendum and so anymore asking for it is asking for trouble or war. The only way a referendum can be achieved is if the 1999 Constitution is discarded for something closer to what is obtainable to the 1957 Constitution of first republic.

Rather than ask for referendum, what stops IPOB from involving in the political process. Join politics, convince people to vote you by selling your agenda. And when you get to the national assembly you lobby other zones to support the change of constitution which gives space for a referendum
