I didn't tell you to convert the 13.5%. Oga, use the 13.5% the way it is and not dividing it by 100.

ie (1000000*13.5*91)/(100*365)

Now you do it and tell me the answer
vitality22:

Do it your self

I=(PxRxT)/(100x365)

where I=interest (the interest amount you want to know)
P=Principal(amount invested)= 1,000,000
R=Rate(percentage interest)= 13.5%
T=Time (number of days)=91 days

Haaaa.. no be quarrel oooo Bros. Na watin u give me I use and u no specify either. Even in your post you still put 13.5% and not 13.5 (see the bold in ur post above).
I simply follow the normal mathematical computation.

No vex for the corrections.

Thanks all that reply... I appreciate. I have seen what I wanted. I was thinking doing 91 days nd compounding (reinvesting the interest) for a year will be better than subscribing for a 365 days tenor. I think it isn't.
It is better to go for the 365 days at once.

Now I see it from someone calculations. I think your formula should be

I = ((PxRxT) /(100x365)) x T

Thanks

Or

1,000,000 × 13.5%
= 135,000 ÷ 365
= 369.86 x 91

Interest = 33,657.53

Gbam!..... Thanks

Hello house, please I need a clearer explanation of how profit is calculated for the 91 days tenor. I understand that of 364 days. But I am still a bit confused with that of 91 days even with the calculations I have seen on the thread.

Please I need someone to help me out with the calculation on this example:

Please, what will be the earnings on a T-bills of N1,000,000 @ 13.5% for 91 days tenor?

Thanks

At secondary market, you can't specify any rate. It's "what you see that you buy" if it pleases you.

Pls still take to my advice as all these have been answered in previous posts

Alright. Thanks bro

My brother, you will be doing yourself a lot of good IF you can be very patient to go and read the older threads from page 1 to the present page.

That was what I did in order to understand more about Treasury Bills. Many gurus on this forum have answered most if not all the questions that may be asked by newcomers

Because some people don't want to stress themselves, they keep asking the same questions that has been answered times without number just as it happened today within 7 minutes that two people asked same question that was answered 7 minutes before the second person asked same question.

By the time you familiarise yourself with the previous posts, I bet that you are not likely to ask questions cause they have been answered severally by many experts on the forum.

If you are very serious about acquisition of knowledge about Treasury Bills it won't take you one week to read the previous posts.

Thanks for your advice, i am actually on that and that is what i do, i don't wait to be told.

The reason i quote you and sent you a pm mail was not about to learn how TB works, it was actually because i saw your post about subscribing at primary market from Stanbic and i was made to understand that the min for primary market is 50M. Just wanted to know how to go about it with stanbic in particular okay.

Someone already explained though. Thanks all the same.

Most banks would just tell you to go for secondary market if you principal is not huge, from my own experience.

But if you are investing huge let's say 1m and above, and you insist on primary market, your could be accepted.

Remember you are not going to specify any rate. The bank will add your funds to their pool and bid.

You should know that these days there is no much difference between primary and secondary market, unless you are dumping something big.

Stanbic IBTC is good. But you don't need to go through the stress of new account opening just because of TBills. But if you already have their account it's fine. How ever Avoid Ecobank.

Thanks a lot bro. You nailed it, you gave me exactly what i wanted..... Please do answer this 1 question for me. Are mine allowed to specify rate at secondary market or will buy it at the bank rate too?

Oh yes o! That's where the action is for now at the Primary Market and they are also doing well at the secondary market.
So many of us on this forum have Ported to STANBIC that's why you find more of us talking and posting results of STANBIC.

Hello Bro, i just sent you a pm mail now, i will be expecting your reply thanks

Am much interested to know if anyone with less than N50million successfully bid at the primary auction in any of the banks because banks will tell you to go for the secondary market once your money is not up to N50million required for the primary auction.

Yea, still waiting for response from those talking about the primary market bid.
Investment / Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by dyonpoint: 4:48pm On Jul 06, 2017

Walk into any First Bank branch or Gtbank branch. Confidently meet the customer care or anyone incharge of Treasury bills in the branch. Ask them for the available offers in the secondary market for the day. Check the offers they have on ground and choose the one suitable for you. It is very simple.

Thanks

But product from CUBE is generally very good. You might like to check those with remix OS too up, good OS i must say

Yea, i guess i am left no other choice than aliexpress. Yes i noticed they are not sim enabled just WIFI and no GPS. But seriously i will prefer a tab using sim and wifi. How do you see the Tecno Droid pad 10 pro?

NB: most of the tablet on aliexpress are both Windows and Android OS.

Then you are covered with Teclast, just avoid the ones that run on mtk processors, and also watch out for good screen resolution, these all affect the price, not just ram, rom and battery capacity.

Okay. Thanks bro. I am doing a search for 1 now, i just discover that things are more expensive on aliexpress. I got to find out about joybuy and things there are relatively cheaper. But major problem is payment since we cannot spend more than $100 on our card in a month, but in aliexpress one can fund alipay with different cards to make payment. I wish there is a way i can make payment on joybuy.

You want to use bank rate or black market rate?
If you want bank rate you'll need at least 2 different ATM cards (GTB and, or Access Bank)
