My point is, know the challenges, instead of backing out, overcome them.

This is my advice.

1- Don't build a dropshipping web store just for nigerians, that is limiting, when you can reach a larger market.

2- Have the right cash flow, you will be making twice if not more of whatever is purchased... So your cash flow should be on point.

Thanks for your advice. If you read my reply to @Lordkross post, i mentioned my Challenge and I also pickup 1 payment gateway I will look into from his post.
I am not new to dropshipping bro.

I can give you many reasons why you shouldn't leave home in the morning, but when you get a good reason to leave.. it will be worth it.

This are some points to consider

1- You mustn't sell to nigerians alone.

2- My Clients that dropship specify the shipping date, our web app help you do that.

3- Dropshipping is a business like selling shoes in the market, you should have continuing capital.

There are two choices....

Knowing the challenges that comes with business and backing out
or
knowing the challenges and overcoming it.

The choice draws a fine line and set the separation.

Bro, I don't get your point.

Greetings to the OP and all Nairalanders. I want to quickly state here that dropshipping is not a bed of roses or at least to an African (excluding South Africans).

You can get it done, that is the first stage, payment gateway will be your biggest obstacle. A few guys have been able to manipulate there way out of this using VPN and all other means, but they also risk losing all their earnings when PayPal or Stripe gets to find out their illegality. This is where it hurts the most, raking in all the money and losing it to a payment gateway. You can't sell locally, not in principle though, most Nigerians can't wait 25 - 54 days to get their buy, thus making the American, Russian and Australia market your best option for sales. Now the circle continues, how do you process payment?
The only option at this time for Nigerians is Rave by flutterwave or maybe VoguePay, but the downside is, that your money stays with them for another 14days.

Let's say you manage to sell $400 worth of items in a single day, you will need to source $400 to pay the supplier before they supply the said item to your customers where ever they may be. Now that's where the money comes in. Lol!!!! Dropshipping is not cheap. What if there's another $400 sales the following day?

Marketing is another challenge, they will never tell you all this things, and this is what i hate about people selling business without conscience.

Now, please, i am not discouraging anybody here, i have learned the hard way! No think am. My people say "Person when no get papa, na where person when get papa dey advice him own pikin him from dey learn".

If the OP promises 2checkout, go ahead with his proposal, but he should state his total cost.

Look before you leap...don't get lost.

You spoke my mind bro, in fact I couldn't wait to finish reading before I comment. Every thing u said about dropping from Nigeria is absolutely correct. My major problem is Payment gateway and issue of delivery time to Nigeria. These issues have kept me from start my dropshiping business I must confess.

Your MSc certificate is enough, you dont need more than two certificates.

As for NYSC, i'll leave that to the gurus...

Thanks a lot

If you have masters evaluate that only, but if you have BSc with either Ond or HND (evaluate the BSc and OND/HND or OND and HND).
I used my nysc to claim work experience, I got reference letter from my PPA in CiC format.

Thanks a lot. Please can you help with the CiC reference letter format? Please.

Good evening family, please i need clarification on the 2 certificates matter.

Does B.Sc and M.Sc (same field) count as 2 certificates or 2 degree

or

B.Sc/M.Sc and Diploma/B.Sc etc (in another field)

Please which of these combined counts as 2 certificates and give extra points?

Also, i read on the thread some days back that NYSC can be used as work experience. Please, I wish for more details on this too.

Thanks

Stanbic secondary market rates for today
85 days is 9.2
148days is 10
232 days is 10.55.

Tony56 is spot on. The banks are taking advantage of their customers because of the prevailing bearish TB market. Despite the historical recent low rates last week in the primary market, the rates are still better than what the banks are offering now.

Thanks a lot

Hello Op,

I appreciate your effort so far here, atleast it's cool to know importation can be done so easily from the comfort of your home. I have been involved in it for over 5 to 6 years now bringing in goods from USA, UK and DUBAI.

I just want to note some warnings as regards some points you stated above;

1. Did you actually disclose that MyUS store will bill these people monthly? Also their goods will be shipped by throat-cutting DHL, FeDex and TNT (They can charge as high as $90USD for a single Ipad, $50USD for a single mobile phone (weather used or brand new) or $120USD for a single laptop).

2. Purchase this days is conveniently done with Nigerian PayPal which you can easily link your Nigerian Master Card and buy anywhere in the world (This is what MyUs will charge you for, what you can actually do for yourself).

3. You don't have to send to MyUs store any more because there are so many Nigerian owned stores across the United States (Some in Florida, Houston Texas etc.). They will receive your goods and ship down to Lagos State at far cheaper rate (e.g 3 lb(pounds) in weight worth of goods can be shipped for as low USD$3.45.

All you need to do is to send your ID details to this company and you will get their shipping address alongside the shipping company's phone numbers.

Finally Op, I urge you to look into all I stated above and consult your boss in the business to tell you the latest methods so as not to mislead people already following your thread.

FYI, before anyone starts batching me, I only want to make your importation business a memorable one. I fell into those traps some years back and I won't like anyone to fall into such. MyUS will continue to bill your Master Card weather you have cash in it or not and the month you fail to pay, they will continue to accumulate your DEBT even if its six months. They will just render your card useless

A word is enough for the WISE!!

Incase you don't understand check my signature for my contacts!!

Nice one @tbliss22. Can you please share with us reliable Nigerians owned stores in US that can collect and ship our goods down to Nigeria... The major problem I have with import is payment and shipping. Thanks.
