Came into a clothing store and this lady was shouting on top of her lungs while shopping with her friend and some kids
Obviously vacationing from Nigeria
To my utter amazement the mgbeke proceeded to try on a pair of shorts over her own leggings, right there in the store shocked shocked shocked
And checking herself out on the wall mirror to the full glare of the public
I had to take a picture mehn
Caught her in the snap shot while she was taking it down

Every time America this, America that. . ..Do you know that if one of the Americans or Europeans dat u worship went to my village, they would disobey all rules of traditional etiquette and decorum . . . But you would be too blinded by inferiority complex to think of them as "uncultured" or "Bush"

Culture / Re: Ndigbo Originated From Egypt, Jacob’s Son Is The Father Of Nri – Monarch by e4e5d4d5: 11:06pm On Jul 15, 2014
ICHINONYE: We have been seeing n reading more about Eri n ow it came in2 being, while some argue Eri Originated 4rm Isreal , some says He is 4rm Egypt , Now here is a 1st hand Info about Eri on how n were it Originated n dis info is coming 4rm d King of d Location Eri 1st settled, so do we now go with dis? Wel read below Cheers.

[b] His Majesty, Eze Obidiegwu Onyesoh, MFR, the traditional ruler of Nri kingdom (believed to be the ancestral home of Ndigbo) in Anambra State has said that  Ndigbo originated from Egypt.

Onyesoh who said this during an interview with TONY OKAFOR of the New Telegraph claimed the father of Nri is called Gad, who according to him was the son of the biblical Jacob.

Read the excerpt from the interview below:

His Royal Majesty, how would you trace the origin of Ndigbo?

Nri came from Egypt about two centuries ago and the father of Nri was called Gad. Gad was the son of Jacob while Jacob was the son of Isaac and Isaac was the son of Abraham.

The family tree of Nri is traced from the origin of Abraham and Abraham was the favourite child of God. At that time Egypt was regarded as the capital of the whole world and the entire Igbo race lived in Egypt.

While they were there, the man called Eri, the progenitor of Ndigbo, also lived there and was the special adviser on religious matters to the fifth dynasty of Pharaohs of Egypt.

He was responsible for everything concerning religion and Pharaoh could not take any decision without consulting Eri. It was in those days in Egypt that Eri determined who was going to be the next Pharaoh.

And by their law, there was a deity called Emem. For anything to happen during the time, the man called Eri, in his capacity as the religious adviser to Pharaoh of Egypt, was responsible.

He was also responsible for the coronation of Pharaohs of Egypt because the system was, before coronation of the Pharaoh of Egypt, you must undergo certain processes.

So Eri was in charge. The Pharaoh of Egypt of the fifth dynasty recognised the protection and powers of Eri when he made him the conscience of Egypt. Now Eri needed people to help him and he recruited people called devotees. These devotees were all appointed by him but he had to do something to really find their own loyalty. Therefore, he initiated them into Ozorship.

This Ozorship was to find a means that anybody who would be associated with him should work with him and be loyal to the cause. This brought about the existence of ‘Atani’, which means tying a rope to the ankle of all their members that had the Ozo title. And by so doing, gave them power of authority to tackle issues on his behalf.

This power of authority which Eri gave to his devotees was known as Ozo title and Ofo. Some of the sons of Abraham found their own tribes as time went on and later got to the 12 tribes of Israel.

Among those children of Abraham, one of them became the founder of the Jewish religion -Judaism. During this era, there were some people who could not love themselves anymore because that time, the Pharaoh that knew Moses was no longer there.

And equally the Pharaoh that knew Eri was no longer there, he now faced the Hebrew population and some of them declared themselves Jewish and hatred started from there.

What happened next?

Interestingly, you should know that Abraham was the founder of the Islamic religion and Isaac became the founder of the religion

that later turned into Christianity. However, when the punishment and wickedness became so much, they called God that they wanted to be free from slavery. Moses went up the mountain and God asked him to go and deliver the people of Israel. Jacob was the Israel.

mainman7: We the Yorubas demand an unalloyed and undiluted APOLOGY from the igbos now! Against the agreement, igbos spared their own corrupt politicians during the 1966 Coup. Again, against the agreement, igbos invaded Ore (Yoruba Land) during the war, what a terrible and evil-minded traitors igbos are!
At Ore, they met their Water-Loo at the hand of common Yoruba hunters (the igbos soldiers cloths tenaciously clung to their flesh, became the same with their body, and attempts to pull it off teared their flesh, blood flowed and fear came upon them) they were then mercilessly slaughters like chickens.
That was their last attempt to ever try to take war to Yoruba Land.
igbos are the most deceitful and unreliable set of people on Earth. You'll enter into an agreement them but they'll surely stab you right at your back, guaranteed! Worst still, they'll try to play on your intelligence by alleging you of the exact evil they are obviously guilty of.
For 3 unforgivable offenses:
1.) Sparing their own currupt people during the 1966 Coup
2.) For again breaching agreement having the effrontery to enter Ore during the war
3.) Most important of all, for trying to play on the intelligence of the Great Yoruba people, by having the effrontery to demand for apology at all when they should have been using your mouth to wipe the floor begging the Yorubas for forgiveness.
We, the Yorubas demand an unalloyed and undiluted APOLOGY from the igbos now!

I have just been quietly observing this thread because, like I said earlier if I start commenting then I won't be able to stop because the things I want 2 say are just too much, and also because I know that no matter what is said, you cannot force a person out of ignorance until that person learns from his experiences and realizes his mistakes by himself.

Nevertheless I believe all things happen for a reason. There is a reason Nigeria and other African nations are haunted by bad leaders, exploited by outsiders, blinded by the malpractice of imported religions and cultures and its citizens subjected to suffering. Looking back to African history the reason for all these are clear. But also looking forward to the future for Nigeria and Africa which I believe is indeed bright and glorious, we can also see the reason for the adversity we are going through now, for it is said that greatness is born out of adversity ,the purest iron is born from the hottest furnace.

So I believe that all those that have created and continue to create suffering in Nigeria and Africa are indeed unwittingly serving a purpose in the greater destiny of Nigeria/Africa through the evil they perpetuate. They are the adversity which will spur us to greatness and the furnaces that will make us strong.

So for now let oyedepo, ibeyomie and oyakhilome exploit the poor, let the politicians feast in their mansions while the citizens wallow in hunger, let
Boko Haram slaughter innocent people, let defenseless children be molested and abused, let foreign companies and governments interfere in our affairs for their own benefit and at our own detriment.

Let all these happen but do not forget that the day is fast approaching when we will have seen enough adversity to ignite our greatness. On that day the trumpets of justice will be sounded and men like oyedepo will be called forward to pay the debt they have accumulated through their sins.

I always wondered who or what made these riff raffs "men of god".Wake up my friend!!!!!! no human being ,not even the pope, can provide a better connection to the creator than the one you provide for yourself.YOU are YOUR OWN man/woman of god. wake up and leave all these liars who are unemployed and broke one day ,then the next day they proclaim themselves "men of god" and start harvesting riches from the unfortunate masses.

Nigerians my brothers and sisters wake up.Year after year watch these abominable programs like shiloh and other "crusades", you see that and overwhelming majority of the attendants are simply common people seeking hope.Hope that they can find an escape from the poverty that has been inflicted on them, hope that they can seek cure for their illnesses since they can't do that at the run-down hospitals.Hope they can find a better life because they have been abandoned in pain and suffering. And then you see these despicable thiefs like the oyakilomes, oyedepos, ibeyomie e.t.c feeding of these poor people. It is really a saddening sight.

What percent of oyedepo's congregation can afford decent cars. . .but see their "daddy'' having a good time in his million dollar private jet

How many of them can afford a good education for their but their ''daddy'' sends his kids to the best schools abroad

We are talking about a man that is supposed to be a spiritual leader yet he abused and assaulted an innocent child in public becos he thought she was a ''witch''. . .it is a truly remarkable thing that the devils in our society are being venerated yet if you ask most people to recount the history of those that fought for justice in nigeria like ken saro wiwa, abiola, dele giwa e.t.c they know nothing about them.

Travel / Re: Many Nigerians Living In Nigeria Hate Nigerians In Diaspora, Jealous Much? by e4e5d4d5: 6:34am On Nov 14, 2013
@Op I have been a member on NL for a long while now but this is the first time I am commenting on a thread because I was really moved by your post.i would like to ask you, what defines you as human being; is it your job?, your salary or the kind of house you live in?. In my opinion what defines us and makes us unique is our culture and identity and if you deny that simply because things are dire in your home country then u r nothing but an empty shell of your true self. I am really shocked by the attitude of some nigerians like you, where do you think ur comtempt of nigeria will lead you, what will you say in future when your children ask you about their roots.Imagine that there is some ethereal record that holds the name of every person and their place of origin, your name will always be under nigeria even if you live abroad for a thousand years.
Many nigerians in diaspora chastize nigeria but they the few who may have been opportuned to get a quality education choose to wallow in another mans land rather than return and help their homeland because it so easy to point fingers rather than fight for the glory of their forefathers and their children unborn.
I myself am currently studying in u.s, I came here a few months ago and although there is constant light & water, surplus of food and many other amenities, no day passes by dat I don't wish I was back home in Nigeria & immediately I'm done with my 4 yrs of skul here I'm hopping on the nxt plane to naija to contribute my quota in helping the millions of nigerians and africans who have not had the opportunities I have had.

I can tell you that the corpse of your grandfathrrs, greatgrandfathers and their predecesdors rolled in their graves when u typed your post.

That post may have been written to show that Nigeria is country not worth living in but it rather proved that you are not worthy of being a nigerian citizen or an african.

If I were you I would pour libation to my ancestors and beg their forgiveness for uttering an abomination that brings shame to their legacy.
