I hate to blame the victim, however, why didn't she report the case to the UK authorities when she was still in the UK? What was she doing at the guy's apartment to begin with? Had it been she reported the case in the UK, they would've carried out an unbiased investigation and if found guilty, the guy would've lost his medical license and served time.
you mean you did not read where she reported to the UK police huh

I thought the Benue state governor has been saying its fulani people killing his people, is Gana a fulani man? just to win a second term he latched on to the narrative that its fulanis that are killing in benue but we now know better

The same people are now granting amnesty to militants........but will be quick to condemn FG for granting amnesty to repentant boko haram militants,

i watched Ortom on channels TV and his lame explanation and cant help but wonder if this man knows what he is doing at all

Buharis incompetence is a childs play compared to the incompetence of PDP governors and its rather unfortunate they are doing a very bad job at opposition to the government.
Are you saying that there is brain transformation if I change from one political party to another? Leave APC and PDP alone and focus on the topic..

Why do you think your opinion is the best. They are adults that know their abilities and have aspirations of how they want to be perceived in the society. It was stated that he was acquitted so why would you not employ him. People like you are the reasons they feel worthless. Judges of men.

lilfreezy:
But seriously, I don't think they need a university degree, I think they shoud invest more on skill acquisition while they are doing their time. Once they are out, they could set up a workshop. I myself won't even employ an excon. Even in America that tag will render you jobless. Skill acquisition is the way to go.

Oreo and Pickles, the other family cat, moved to the National Observatory grounds after the election
(CNN)After a news-filled week in Washington, Vice President Mike Pence privately handled a loss at home: the death of their family cat, Oreo.

Second lady Karen Pence tweeted photos of the family pet, adding, "Rest in peace Oreo. You touched a lot of hearts in your little life." The photos included shots of the Vice President in a tuxedo holding the black-and-white feline, who moved with the family to the vice president's residence on the grounds of the Naval Observatory after the election.

An aide to the vice president said Oreo was 13 years old and was especially endeared to the Pence's youngest daughter, Audrey, who is 23.
In a White House absent of pets and animals, the second family has filled the void with several family pets, including a bunny, Marlon Bundo, which is also black and white and has garnered a national following and even appeared at official White House events.
Oreo and Pickles, the other family cat, lived in the governor's mansion in Indianapolis while Pence was governor of the state. The whole family moved to the Naval Observatory in January.

PoliticsEconomc Importance Of Boko Haram by eabumere(op):
It surprising to hear the Government say that the reason for the low key October 1st celebration is that it was trying to be liberal in its spending. By this time last year N50 billion went down the drain in a day. So much hype and vibes. But this time they come up and say it plans to reduce spending. Imagine, It is the lack of security from the part of the Government and the Fear of "Boko Haram" that have at least saved us from the daily inflation from unnecessary spending from the Government,

Security business is now the talk of the town, At least there is now job creation due to failure of the government to cub illiteracy and security holes.

Don't get me wrong in this, I am not supporting the radical group or terrorists, but they have at least made them realize how unreasonable they have all been when talking about negative spending and handling education,

PoliticsBoka Haram Amnesty Deal by eabumere(op): 10:37am On Oct 15, 2010
MAIDUGURI, Nigeria — A feared Islamic sect responsible for a recent federal prison break and targeted killings in northern Nigeria has demanded an amnesty offer from the government to stop the violence.

The communication from the Boko Haram sect said the group wanted a deal similar to one made to militants in Nigeria's restive and oil-rich southern delta last year that slowed attacks there. However, such a demand could exploit regional and religious tensions that run through Africa's most populous nation and put new pressures on its Christian president.

Boko Haram made its demands via interviews with an anonymous spokesman to the Hausa language radio services of the BBC and the Voice of America late Wednesday night. The group said it wanted the government to release 195 detained sect members and for officials to allow members in hiding to re-emerge.

The group also asked for freedom to practice its form of Islam, the unconditional release of its seized mosques by government forces and "justice and equity" in local government affairs.

"We are law-abiding citizens, even though we do not subscribe with the unjust government of the western orientation that is being used to govern us here in Nigeria," the spokesman said in Hausa, the local language.

Despite that pledge, the spokesman went on to take responsibility for a recent bomb attack on a police station, as well as the targeted killings of local officials by motorcycle taxi-riding assassins. The spokesman said the government brought the attacks on themselves after the death of Boko Haram leader Mohammed Yusuf in July 2009 after the group rioted, leading to a security crackdown that left 700 dead in total.

Human rights groups say Yusuf was executed by police while in their custody, but officials claimed he attempted to escape custody, though his hands were tied behind his back.

"Unless government ensures justice and equity and allow us to practice our religion , we will continue with these (killings) and we have our targets," the spokesman said.

Followers of Boko Haram, which means "Western education is sacrilege" in the local Hausa language, went into hiding after the July 2009 riots. Recently, the group engineered a massive prison break in nearby Bauchi state, freeing 750 inmates — among whom were sect members.

In asking for an amnesty deal, Boko Haram has brought into play the regional politics that form Nigeria, a country of 150 million that basically divides into a Christian south and Muslim north. The spokesman said that Boko Haram deserved "similar treatments accorded to the Niger Delta militants by the late president, Alhaji Umaru Musa Yar'Adua, rather than being treated like second class citizens of Nigeria."

Before his death, Yar'Adua persuaded many militants in the creeks of the delta to sign onto a government-sponsored amnesty plan, which promised cash payouts and future job training. The relative peace that followed allowed oil production to boost in the OPEC nation, nearing highs not seen since the insurgency there began in 2006.

However, the delta sits firmly in the Christian south and in a region vital to the country's economy. North Nigeria, on the vestiges of the Sahara Desert, remains a rural area that depends primarily on agriculture. It also relies on President Goodluck Jonathan, a Christian from the delta, to shepherd through what could be a complex and costly deal in the midst of a coming presidential election.

A presidential spokesman did not immediately respond for a request for comment Thursday on Boko Haram's demands.

I just had an interview which went successful from my point of view. I was not tensed neither was I not focused while answering the questions put forward to me. I will like to hear from you guys what to do next. Am I to write a follow up 'thank you for interviewing me' letter or just wait? Writing a letter will be too desperate but I personally think it could also help. Please does anyone in the house have an advice and experience to share?.

Interesting! This forum is Blazing HOT! Reason with me: Don't you fellows think you are making those couple of guys (cassidynca and Newday) look like they are not illitrates afterall? They definitely had a reason for such naughty statements, and that is to spark up responses from the readers. They are obviously getting what they needed: attention. You see, it is not proper to let anyone psyche you to do something. Don't get them into control, and you will see them waddle away feeling defeated, wearing long faces. Adios pallies. Always do the dew! cool
i dont think so, it is no psyche. cassidynca and Newday meant it.
PoliticsRe: The Untold Beginning Of Economic Recession In Nigeria by eabumere(op): 2:37pm On Oct 02, 2009
Morals as taught in school is the source of development. Awolowo had a vision for the people of the west, today most of them are educated (he has being immortalized, RIP). Ahmadu Bello had the same drive for the north (Like wise), i am still trying to remember other sources of education for the other part of the country but that does not matter now. the point i am trying to raise is the fact that most of the people educated put us in this condition we are in by neither coming back to impact the acquired knowledge back to the country nor teaching morals . Gowon said Nigeria has so much money that to spend it is a problem during the oil boom era (70s) forgetting that there is something called rural to urbal traffic flux (lack of proper education in action). War is bad and good, any objection in the house? let me explain, after the world war countries were in shambles and had time to start again from the scratch. After the civil war Nigeria was not in shambles but almost in one, the government forgot about us because we were not born. If i may ask now, what i we going to do for the next generation,
Hey, it is true oh. the words recession and meltdown were just the terms that came from the western world.

PoliticsThe Untold Beginning Of Economic Recession In Nigeria by eabumere(op): 10:42am On Oct 01, 2009
I was explaining to a friend the causes of the global recession, he kept quiet and just replied that Nigeria has always being in recession. It then dawned on me that i have never seen a good Nigeria.

No power = high cost of Production = less amount of profit = unemployment and underemployment. = recession

No railway = High cost of transport = Less profit = low standard of living = recession

No proper Education = Greed from Leaders = No truth from politicians = vision less struggle = suffering of the masses = recession

A Nigeria that has a nice Educational system, a Nigeria that has Power, A Nigeria that encourages companies to come and invest in the country, a Nigeria that issues scholarships to outstanding students without using influence, A Nigeria that has Jobs for graduates, A Nigeria that, so on and on. Nigeria is 49, Well i have hope that things will be nice. My children will see a good Nigeria.
