He lives in America? |
I watched Pastor Yemi Osinbajo at #OneNationNoShaking which held at Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos earlier today. Pastor Yemi Osinbajo spoke about hope and a better future. He used the story of the Israelites leaving the land of Egypt as his case study. I gave the well prepared speech by the Pastor a deep thought and I chronicled three things the Pastor did not tell the church. The story being referrenced can be found in the book of Exodus Chapter 3-14. He said, "there are people who want to #BringBackCorruption just like there were people who wanted to go back to Egypt. Also "just like there was a canaan after Egypt, there would be a better Nigeria". And, "the people of Israel not knowing that there was a red sea while they were leaving Egypt". To be very fair and transparent, the Vice President is a good orator. He made this unplagiarized speech to a cheering crowd who obviously are Christians (people of faith and hope). Pastor Osinbajo did not inform us that the people of Israel saw Moses solve immediate problems of oppresion. This gave them the ultimate impression: Moses was called by God. Just like the Israelites, Nigerians want to see steps taken by the government. We want to have an idea their Moses was called. Nigerians home and abroad want to see a Government who travels on official assignments lean. Who does not have unneccesary aides, looking like a mother dog who has nunerous children. He also did not tell the people that Nigeria was never in Egypt, because in Egypt, there was a cry against oppression, a cry against hunger (they were fed once a day at some point)! If Nigerians were EVER to be likened as though they were living in Egypt as slaves, it would be NOW that the President (King) does not listen to their pleas (one of which is the lifting of bans on payment of International school fees among others). He also failed to tell the people that the Egyptians were eating Manna (a food that was awesome and great) while en route canaan but their complaints were that the food was the only one they were eating even though it was premium! I am very sure that even the food many Nigerians eat alone, has been taken away from them now(Rice), with its geometric increase in price and affordability. No doubt, Nigerians yearned for a Change: the change was not in economy (we were already the best in Africa and was positively growing), job creation ( the likes of SURE-P's YOUWIN and other government interventions were already doing that, infrastructure (the highest kilometre of roads ever built and rehabilitated during a tenure was done by the past government, Federal Universities were well maintained in terms of meeting up with standards, at least I know that of UNILAG who did not hide it that was from the governmwnt under Professor Sofoluwe), corruption as Transparency International rated Nigeria has having grown in terms of being anti-corrupt during the past government but a CHANGE in the way we do things! A CHANGE in the way we do things has still not manifested and cannot manifest from the precedence laid by this government in the last 16 months! The gorvenment in which Pastor Osinbajo is thw Vice President still maintains the luxurious Presidential fleet, still fly around the world with unneeded entourage, contracts are still being awarded based on nepotism and bribery among others. Pastor Osibanjo did not tell the church that where Nigeria is heading to is Egypt with the way Mr Buhari is handling the affairs of the Nation (I'm exonerating him because I know he does not have a say in ANYTHING being done in Nigeria except in Lagos state) Pastor Yemi failed to tell Nigerians the truth about the realistic status of the country. TeeFeh:I don't have an idea about that I'm not basket mouth |
Popular comedian, Basketmouth was robbed earlier this week in his residence in Lekki, Lagos. We, therefore, decided to chronicle five lessons from this incidence. It is no longer news that Basketmouth was robbed in his home for two hours and his security guard has been arrested. These two events obviously are the reasons for our epistle. Lesson 1 The country may not be safe after all. For a person living in Lekki where security is top notch and highly prioritized. The incident goes to prove that there is no assured security anywhere. Everyman must surely secure himself. Also, those who also believe in God must call him for protection too. Lesson 2 Nigeria is presently in a bad state. Celebrity robberies have not been heard of lately. This occurrence goes a long way to show that all is not well with our country. There is presently inflation of goods and services in the country. The masses are now taking a toll on the elites. Everyone better take to their heels. Lesson 3 His properties were stolen According to Bovi, the popular comedian’s properties were stolen. A family source also revealed some items stolen to be; Gold wristwatch Syinix Moist Fan Wife’s trinket Although we hear that the Syinix brand released a statement to replace the fan for him FREE, we cannot authenticate this yet. Lesson 4 Stop Showing Off on Social Media As a famous person, the country’s present state requires that one lives a coded life. We all need to stay silent to avoid being targetted by the thieves in the society. It was reported that he has always shown off his beautiful home and lifestyle on the social media. For those who show off cash on SnapChat and others, you need to be careful. Lesson 5 Trust Nobody We are left with no other option than to say this here. Why was Bovi the person to spill the news online? How come he was not sober enough not to put it to public space? These are questions begging for answers. Indeed, trust no one. Basketmouth should not have trusted Bovi as he himself should be suspected because breaking the news to the public. In conclusion, we, however, sympathize with Basketmouth and his family and we do hope that such do not re-occur again. You Think Its Easy to Live in Lagos, Read my House Hunt Experience story Mid April, my rent expired and I had three weeks to move out of my apartment. I had so much confidence to get an apartment in two weeks to move into. Little did I know I was being set up for a battle between the body, soul and spirit. I did make a few calls in about three days to my friends and family members. This calls yielded little or nothing support as regards my assignment. The only fruit it yielded was a 3 million p.a apartment in the innermost part of Lekki. As glad as I was about this fruit, tge distance from the Lekki phase 1 gate to my supposed new place of abode is not different from the distance between heaven and hell. With all sense of modesty, I declined staying here. I finally settled to use a house agent which seems to be an advise a female friend gave me from work. After contacting 10 of them via phone and paying them 5,000 each, one week and 2 days has past and I still do not have a place yet! I, in my naivety assumed that I woukd get an apartment after paying that money. I did not know like doctors, it was just for consultancy. I kept faith in God, having had the Christian background. It was now two weeks past and on Sunday of the last week of my relocation notice. I finally got calls from 3 of my agents who showed me 5 different places (2 in Ikoyi, 1 in Festac and 2 in Lekki). Let me say at this point thay I was open to any location. I wanted to move from a low brow are to a high brow are and these three were well suited. I could have accepted any of them! Yes, I should. But, I did not. I slept after these calls and had a dream about me not progressing in these houses if I lived in them. On waking up, i could do nothing other than cancel the offers. At this point, 3 of the turned up agents declined further service. They insisted I pay another N5,000 for consultancy. Iwas grieved at this point! I have just few days left of the three weeks notice, precisely two days. I am now desperate and began to search online. My first stop was a website that offered such services, tolet.com.ng (apologies for mentioning your name if you ever read this). My experience was short lived as I started putting down this thoughts. I have 48 hours to go and I have 2 useful agents and this website to deal with. Getting accommodation in Lagos is no doubt a task for the faint hearted. Cal-a-Doc Africa has just published some interesting facts about Nigeria's Health care system and I present to you these facts. Fact 1: The Infant Mortality Rate per 1,000 Births is 75 According to the World Health Organization (WHO) Health data records for 2015, the infant mortality rate in Nigeria is 75 per 1000 births. This is reportedly a decrease as to what is obtainable before now and is very much encouraging the sub-Saharan country. Fact 2: Popular Philanthropist, Bill Gates spent N114,000,000 million in eradicating Polio in Nigeria. Popular American philanthropist, Mr Bill Gates who runs the Bill and Melinda Gates with his wife, Melinda has spent 114 million Naira in Nigeria's fight against Polio. The couple have also spent the equivalent of N1.2 trillion on the global fight against the viral disease, polio myeletis. In 2015, the country enjoyed a major landmark by earning its removal from the list of polio endemic countries. Fact 3: There is a 20% probability of dying from the 4 main non-communicable disease (Cancer, Diabetes, Cardiovascular and Chronic respiratory disease) If you are between the ages of 30 to 70, you need to know that there is a 20% probability that you can ever die from these diseases while living in Nigeria; Cancer, Diabetes, Cardiovascular and Chronic respiratory disease. Although reasons were not given by Cal-A-Doc Africa, it is still associated with the lifestyle of the Nigerian population. www.nairaland.com/attachments/4066301_truestateofhealthcareinfographiccaladoc_jpega273c7b4b5121d489fdcf25f7ef7ed26 Fact 4: There are presently 37,000 doctors in Nigeria This is one fact that is growing in the country. The Ratio of Doctors to 100, 000 patients is 0.00039 . This figure no doubt is still small but it is an improvement in the statistics as revealed by Cal-a-Doc Africa. Reportedly, 237,000 doctors are needed to fill that gap, still thinking about studying medicine? you may just be among those we need to fill the medical vacuum in Nigeria! Fact 5: N120 Billion Naira has been spent by Nigerians annually for medical care abroad More Nigerians are spending time abroad for medical tourism more than as expected or assumed. The statistics show that 5,000 trips were made to India in the past year. Nigerians surely want a better medical care and several innovations are emerging in the country to fill this gap. Do comment on what you think about these facts about Nigeria's Health Care system. The info-graphic and study was carried out by Cal-a-Doc Africa, a digi-medical platform which offers the Fastest and most Affordable way to have Consultation with Doctors making it the first point of call for all Medical Needs.
