johnugwu: Yea if the whole of the north has 21,000, then it is not a big deal and i will advise that Metuh be ignored, but if it is only the northwest, or only northeast or only North central that has that number then it is a shame on INEC and need to be addressed.Op made a mistake it is the whole of southern Nigeria |
Rawani: The population and land mass of the North far exceeds that of the SE, what is he screaming for? Common sense dictates that a higher number of voters requires a higher number of polling units, otherwise there would be congestion and consequent disenfranchisement of voters.Op made a mistake It is the whole of southern Nigeria |
Sealeddeal: the whole of North has 21,000 or just the North west? If its the whole of North, then its not a bad thing if SE has 8,000.Point of correction 8000 For the whole of Southern Nigeria |
Mekateka: I think GEJ should allow bokoharam have the north. The north brought the evil religion that is now hurting them from Arabian continent. they are even parasites to nigeria. GEJ please let them go form their islamic country.Supported |
tochukwuifeduba: there cannot be any substantial response until after the Election. To crush boko haram we need total declaration of war against Boko harma. A DECLARATION OF WAR AGAINST NORTH EAST NIGERIA and bring them under MARTIAL LAWS!Gbam Any offensive maneuver would be seen as anti Islam North APC |
Phame: their silence on d issues proves they get their full allocation. Kwankwanso said one fund meant for all of them were given to those in jang's camp of govnors forum ane, those in amaechi's camp were denied the fund. You know that in Nigeria we practice politics of bitterness That is why we must verify statements uttered by politicians. Well if your statement is true, GEJ bleeped up big time But find a means to verify |

Phame: i'm sure u did not do u ur research well b4 coming up with this. Haven't u heard amaechi, aragbe, fayemi, oshomole etc speak about this?Assuming they are right Did you verifying if PDP states received their full allocations |
arresa: Troll on with your stupidity and ignorance, my work here is done...Go and bring the debt data ![]() |
arresa: I wonder why you didn't. Because you know nothing about it.I repeat Go and bring out Lagos state debt data from 1999 - 2014 Prove me wrong and I will bow to superior point |
arresa: If you feel like changing topic or moving your goal post, you need to start a new thread to do that.I want you to get it, so that you can show the world that you never understood what debt management is. Since you are good with bringing out data just as you did Go and bring out Lagos state debt data from 1999 - 2014 so that we can know if it is rising or falling and to know if it is being reduced. ![]() When you do this and prove me wrong, I will accept I thought poorly. |
pheliciti: Amusing that you accused someone of insulting you but you have in one fell swoop accused other people of being myopic or blind because their point of view is different from yours. You should apologise to all you accused of being blind or myopic.I have not explained the micro-credit partnership with microfinance institutions and you have drawn conclusion May I ask you Are you here to discuss or argue If you cared to go through my posts you will see where I mentioned privatization and involvement of investors. Pls ask questions politely for clarity I believe many SW people who are sincere with facts will agree with me If any Igbo had defended bad debt, I will also caution his view |
arresa: It's kind of hypocritical or trying to be on both sides of your views. If Lagos and other states are properly managing their debts, how come there are deep in bad debts Since you are so good in finding records, pls tell us the yearly debt of Lagos from 1999 to 2014 let's check if the debt is rising or falling and also check if the debt is being reduced. Once more thank you for presenting your fact maturely I think we can now discuss an important issue that has brought shame to black Africa. |
LASU school fees was increased from 25000 to 250000 and later decreased to 25000 A state governor opposed Freedom of Information operating in his domain and called it unconstitutional when we know it is to help us fight corruption Can somebody tell me the name of the state, governor and party ![]() |
Phame: stuupid boy, what do u and easternleopard expect them to do when their federal allocation is halved or 1/3 is given to them because they belong to d apc? They shld fold their arms and watch their ppl suffer?Provide evidence for your claim that FG did not give APC states their full allocations |
deeobserver209: You made a point there. But there's danger too. Indiscriminate increase of taxes, levies, property tax etc will increase the cost of living in Lagos State. High cost of living is directly proportional to High cost of doing business. This will further bring down the chances of wooing investors. Increasing cost of living means that Income and salaries will have to increase relative to the cost of living.Gbam Also many US companies are relocating to China because an average chinese can live a descent life on moderate salary when compared to a US citizen |
Dapyem: @easternleopardFirst and foremost I never said govt should not borrow I said borrowed money should be invested into profitable ventures and if it must be invested into infrastructural development, extra should be borrowed and invested into ventures whose profits is huge enough to wipe off the loans and loan interests of both that of the infrastructure and the venture Secondly I accused all states of this bad practice of bad debts and presented a better alternative to debt management. I picked on SW because of the blind support given by pro-APCs |
arresa: OK, I apologize, sorry for insulting you. I wont do it again.HOW SW AND OTHER REGIONS CAN AVOID MASSIVE DEBT (1) I mentioned Fashola light rail project If he had kept focused, by now he would have partnered with Ogun state govt to expand the light rail project into different parts of ogun. This will encourage people to relocate to Ogun to live while using the train services to transport themselves to work place in Lagos. The profit realised will go to Lagos, Ogun and the investors. If it is designed to move 1million people everyday into the heart of Lagos and each passenger pays at least 200 naira, it will generate a daily gross profit of 200 million and net profit of 100million daily. In a year it will be at least 30 billion naira. This money can be used to wipe off loans and interests of loans borrowed for infrastructural development with the aid of low taxes that will be collected. (2) Real Estate These massive population expansion into ogun state, will need building structure for housing schools hospitals markets etc. Lagos Ogun and the investors can aim at 1) Building structures that can accomodate at least 5million people 2) Buying and selling lands needed by at least 5million people These will generate huge money for them. The net profit can help them wipe out infrastructural loans and their interests with the aid of low taxation (3) Agriculture Lagos has huge market, money and industries. SW has huge land mass. Lagos, SW and investors can pull their resources together to make available huge agricultural products for Lagos and SW market. The net profit generated can then be used to wipe off infrastructural loans and their interests. Lagos can also partner with some Middle Belt states to provide other agricultural products her SW allies can't get for her huge market (4) Waste and recycling business Lagos should find a means to introduce environmentally friendly recycling methods with the intention to 1) Sell all sorts of recycled materials globally 2) Produced safe huge organic fertilizers for her Western/Northern farms and other customers in need. Profits from this investment, can be used to wipe off other loans and their interests (5) Micro-Finance I will discuss more on this I will show you an ingenious way Lagos SW investors and micro-finance banks can 1) Help the economy grow through micro-financing 2) Make huge profit at low interests 3) Financially empower indigenes of SW which will lift them out of poverty But first I won't to know your view concerning this Pls note The profits generated will be used to wipe off loans and interests of that invested into infrastructures such as roads schools hospitals bridges etc. This ideal is for all regions |
