SportsRe: Keshi Named Best African Coach By FIFA by easyelliot(m): 6:15am On Sep 21, 2014
Its always good to see Nigerians do well, and Keshi has earned it with his anc win and second round exit at the wc. But football is a what have u done for me lately and lately we have lost to Congo, I repeat Congo at home,......
Kudos though.
SportsRe: Babayaro Makes Fresh Case For Iheanacho’s Inclusion In Super Eagles by easyelliot(m): 6:03am On Sep 21, 2014
I hope u guys realize that this won't happen unless we don't qualify for anc, so that,, radical roster changes that will phase out some big boys can happen.

Keshi and his #14 world ranking should go and spend time with his family.
SportsRe: Nigeria To Return To Abuja National Stadium by easyelliot(m): 12:54pm On Sep 18, 2014
bigtt76: Any Super Eagles generation that never played at National Stadium Surulere ....can at best stop bragging about having played for Nigeria. NFF officials are not helping at all. National Stadium Surulere (NSS) is to Nigeria what Wembly is to the English whether they like it or not grin
Exactly!
Why not renovate national stadium and bring the games back then get one of the many corporations to name the stadium e.g. Glo National Stadium or MTN stadium or Access Bank Stadium just me thinking out loud.....

Then sell ad space on billboards etc....the revenue from that alone should handle pitch maintenance and other renovations......

NFF hit me up....
SportsRe: Obafemi Martins Seeks Nigeria Recall by easyelliot(m): 2:05am On Sep 17, 2014
MLS might not be La liga or Epl but its a well organized league, Martins shouldn't be disregarded cause he plays in MLS just as Mikel shouldn't be rewarded for his peak way back in 2005 and his water boy occasional highlight title collecting Legendary career at CFC.
SportsRe: Obafemi Martins Seeks Nigeria Recall by easyelliot(m): 2:03am On Sep 17, 2014
I hope ppl are watching Diego Costa for Chelsea scoring at will cause he knows how to put the ball in the back of the net and he has play makers like Hazard Oscar and Cesc Fab to create opportunities.

I look at the SE and they are lacking a player who can put the ball in the back of the net; Double E is capable but is not a poacher and worse of all he has zero, I repeat zero play makers....guys who can take on players and do something unheard of....pass the ball....what oyingbo calls "assist" to the striker....not take bazooka shot from distance and injure their own teammate or dribble aimlessly or worse still hold the ball until the opponent takes the ball from them and puts the defence at risk.

Martins has scored for Nigeria more than Kanu, more than JJ and I believe he is behind only two Nigerian strikers Yakubu and the late great Yekini All time!!!!!!!!!!!! Martins is no angel and that basket on his head is not of this planet, but he has always had the ability to put the ball in the net, in fact as I'm typing he just scored, and the commentators are saying y wasn't this guy on our wc team?

He should be recalled to save us from embarrassment and because he can still put the ball in the net
SportsRe: Keshi Can't Manage Eagles, Says Babayaro by easyelliot(m): 8:31pm On Sep 16, 2014
That picture looks like Celestine Babayaro.
Also I don't remember Emmanuel Babayaro being a goal keeper maybe I'm wrong.

All I could think of is we Nigerian men,, like foreign women well well.....

But seriously Alaba is the one that pains me he is a very good player, Adebayor is a close second.

I didn't see Fashanu on the list or Emanuel Olisadebe who played for Poland.
SportsRe: Nigeria Vs South Africa: AFCON Qualifier (0 - 0) On 10th September 2014 by easyelliot(m): 9:17pm On Sep 10, 2014
To think there were ppl on this site admonishing me for saying keshi is not a good coach and his son mikel is a grade a worthless con man who seduces us with one highlight a season only to crap the rest of the way.

We the ppl of Nigeria deserve better than this.
SportsRe: Nigeria Vs South Africa: AFCON Qualifier (0 - 0) On 10th September 2014 by easyelliot(m): 8:28pm On Sep 10, 2014
milehigh06: WHAT IS KESHI DOING...IS HE BLIND...CANT HE SEE THAT WE ARE PLAYING RUBBISHhuh
Maybe he doesn't care, they never should have allowed him to coach. Nff should have hired somebody else, but when Nff no get sense self.
SportsRe: South Africa Vs Nigeria: Your Prediction? by easyelliot(m): 12:46am On Sep 10, 2014
This could be 1-1. I have no faith in the current players and the Uche brothers story has been refuted so many times not even sure anymore.
But I would love to be wrong.
CultureRe: Do African Americans Have A Culture? by easyelliot(m):
Good topic OP...

Simply stated they do, its just not looked at in a positive way and that is a product of American media who do not paint the positives as vigorously as the negatives.
SportsRe: Ribery Could Be Banned For France Snub by easyelliot(m): 1:36am On Sep 08, 2014
I read this on goal.com. Platini is having delusions of grandeur. Instead of him to run against Blatter for the Fifa job, he wants to punish a player who has retired and does not want to play international football anymore
......is it by force?

Platini made me laugh when I read this.
SportsRe: I Knew Eagles Would Lose - keshi by easyelliot(m): 4:43pm On Sep 07, 2014
Great comments from everybody concerning Keshi.

All I have to say is just look at our performance against France at wc. Despite the team's flaws, they should have beaten les bleus, but didn't play with any fight after conceding the first goal and ultimately imploded.

Keshi won the Anc, kudos, but his management of players i.e. Togo and now Nigeria is very suspect and divisive and he talks too much without the swag or cv to back it up.

Coaching is about learning and making adjustments, keshi needs to learn and adapt his tactics; go and coach a league were day in day out u live and breath football, he has not done that.

He needs to attend coaching seminars in Europe to learn more and grow as a coach. Right now he is stuck in "big boss" over sabi mode and he ain't on that level.
SportsRe: Nigeria Vs Congo: Player Rating by easyelliot(m): 9:50pm On Sep 06, 2014
Anybody saying Bafana will be a cake walk are delusional, a loss like this goes to prove if all levels of the football structure are disfunctinal i.e. nff coaches players, even less fancied opposition will win.

Even if they beat SA, I want Keshi and Obi gone, I'm looking towards 2016 for the Olympics wc qualifiers and the actual wc 2018. I leave my hope in Nacho and the future.

SportsRe: Man City To Loan Out Iheanacho In January by easyelliot(m): 12:23am On Sep 05, 2014
terzurum5: Why can't they loan him out to other clubs in England like Middlesbrough and others that are a tough nut to crach in the championship?
I doubt if Mancity really has good plans for this guy
Abi....MLS is a good league but it is a semi retirement league, Nacho should be loaned to a team in Europe so he can grow and develop.....man city pls don't ruin his career.......

SportsRe: Iheanacho Is About To Get His Chance In The Machester City Squad by easyelliot(m): 12:41pm On Sep 03, 2014
I want this kid to play so badly, instead of developing that bench warming habit. Man city if its not too late, pls loan him out so he can play actively.

Maybe his agent, who I believe is his dad should have signed him to a team he can play for NOW.

TV/MoviesRe: Who Is Your Favorite Bond (007) Actor? by easyelliot(m): 2:00am On Sep 01, 2014
tuagbo: Sean Connery is my best.A combination of suave and ruggedness.I still don't know why Daniel Craig is so popular as "Bond".He is just too wooden and sullen and the only good bond movie he has featured in has been "Casino Royale."The rest have been less than average "action?" "drama?" movies
I agree 100%, Connery was and still is the best, I mean even the unofficial bond Never Say Never Again , where he played an older semi retired Bond was fun.

I think the producers of Bond are making a big mistake. After Casino Royale they have taken away Craig's natural charisma, please watch Layer Cake for proof; and turned him into inferior copies of other characters. In QOS they turned Bond into Jason Bourne and in Skyfall he became Bruce Wayne with a back story.

The next bond movie needs to bring back the humor, gadgets and girls and let Craig have more fun, he is very capable.
