## **5. YOUR DRIVER'S LICENSE (The FRSC Trap)**

November, December, January, February. FRSC calls them "ember months." We call them "FRSC is hungry" months.

During ember months, FRSC officials don't play around. They set up random stops on major highways with one mission: **catch drivers with expired licenses.**

**The Fine:** ₦50,000+ (officially), or ₦20,000-₦30,000 "on the spot settlement"

**The Real Punishment:** Your vehicle gets impounded until you show proof of valid license. Imagine this happening during a December road trip with your family in the car and Christmas rice in the boot.

Your driver's license expires every 5 years. Check yours right now. Look at the expiry date.

🚨 OFFICIAL UPDATE (October 2025) – Current Situation of the Police Tinted Glass Permit in Nigeria

Over the past few months, the situation around the Nigeria Police Tinted Glass Permit has changed drastically — and many car owners are confused about whether the permit is still active, suspended, or scrapped.

Here’s the accurate and current position as of late October 2025, verified by EASYINFOGUID PUBLISHING 👇

🔹 1. The Permit System Is Still Valid — But Enforcement Is Temporarily Suspended

The Police officially suspended enforcement of the tinted glass permit policy after a Federal High Court in Warri ordered all parties to maintain status quo.
That means Police can’t currently arrest or seize vehicles solely for tinted permit violations — at least until the court case is resolved.

However, the suspension does not mean cancellation. The permit system is still active on POSSAP.gov.ng, and applications are still being processed.

🔹 2. The Police Reactivated the Portal Earlier This Year

The NPF reactivated the POSSAP Tinted Glass Permit portal around April 2025 with NIN and TIN verification integrated.
