If it doesn't then it seems the scanner can only read General codes for the gear system and not the manufacturer specific ones.

It is still good value for a Bluetooth enabled type of scanner with all these features available by default

Yeah boss, its a bidirectional scanner abi how dem dey call am.

Your vehicle or vehicle ECU features and spec determines what it can do too.

There are better scanners but this does the work for me no stress.

Yes boss, still the same Scanner.

The image showed DTC(error code) for each category after a deep scan. So i will click and analyse, Live data or do active test on sensors.

STFT & LTFT (addition) is less than 1% so my car engine is good no misfire and Fuel trim is good( e no dey chop fuel).

The Number 2 Error code is a transmission problem. Torque converter issue or the Sensor is bad(needs changing) for my vehicle tho

The first is as a result of that Front ABS issue i'm battling.

This Scanner boss, Got it over a year ago. I don sabi most of my car problems before i carry am go give Mechanic.

It might be cheaper on Temu tho.

Everyone suggesting Govt intervention should erase the thought. There is no way forward because drivers are not united by association and apps compete with ridiculous prices for rides satisfying only riders because they feel riders bring the money to the ehailing market.

Uber leaving has made things worse, We need a new app company for competition but i dont think any company is ready to invest in an uncertainty because the economy is in shambles where people look cheap things first then later complain of bad quality.

The main target should be to attract drivers (firstly).
A new wave that will attract drivers (fair price + lower commission + transparency).
Believe me, if drivers migrate in large numbers to another platform, passengers will follow.
An aggressive marketing/promotion/awareness will do the magic.
What is kilheen Bolt now no be the rubbish prices only, their stupid commission is also affecting them.
Indrive with somehow yéyé prices, but with lower commission, na wetin dey make drivers use them more now be that.

Whatever idea is based on money baba. How can drivers earn what is fair? Riders dont want to pay much too because apps have reduced base rate badly, these prices i dey see i no even see am when i never start driving by 2023 as a rider, na hin i dey see as driver now

@ Shimmaa and Danremmy, I have zero experience when it comes to e-hailing. However I can contribute using general business experience.

I think you misunderstood Eazilyfe. Here is what I think:

1. Danremmy said he has 5 years experience. And that's exactly why he was pissed off. He is too experienced for that kind of offer. He has seen things and he is not desperate. A less experienced and more desperate Driver would take that offer.

2. I totally agree with Shimmaa that the pickup and drop off time will be very challenging. However, a Driver that is not experienced in e-hailing would still likely take that offer (especially a Driver that also doesn't like working at night). Location of the owner and location of the Driver is also important. Nevertheless, the pickup and drop off thing could still be negotiated.

3. Talking about Repairs: They could both agree to set aside 5k daily for Repairs & Maintenance (5000×25 = 125,000 monthly). Any month they spend less, the balance would be split as profit. If they spend more (the owner pays out of pocket and deduct the following month). I feel the former would happen more often than the latter.

4. Sharing Formula: This is left for the Driver to research and arrive at an average expected daily Net earnings (After deducting cost of fuel, commission, 5k for Repairs & maintenance). This will properly guide him on what percentage to negotiate. 60% owner, 40% Driver is just an asking price. The Driver can negotiate what favours him.

At the end of the day, the Owner is coming with the business Capital and the Driver is coming with Time and Expertise. The Owner has an advantage of keeping his Asset (Car) in good shape because the Driver shares part of the liability. He drives more carefully. The owner is only exposed to risk of losing his car to theft, major accident, etc. If he thinks he wants protection, he can decide to go for comprehensive insurance.

Overall: An experienced Driver wouldn't want such deal, but there are several inexperienced Drivers and Drivers in need that'd go for it. Some people are just looking for a hustle that can guarantee them 150k take home monthly. The person might later get the 150k monthly for 6 months and his taste would increase o. He could even see better offers while driving and grab a better offer.

Nice write up boss, from what i denote the owner has probably tried the normal way of weekly delivery before he came up with his new format. Everything can still be negotiated

If i am to give a driver my vehicle for commercial use there is no way he wont share from the repair & maintenance expenses

The business isn’t for someone like that cox everything is wrong with the arrangement, he should pick car in the morning and drop it in the evening. How convenient can that be for the driver?, if he so insist on that, then he should just ask for daily delivery anytime the driver comes to pick the car instead of putting all expenses on the driver.

Someone like me wont accept that time because i work with time and positioning, the owner is a novice setting terms on that. If 8am nack meet me for house i no fit work that day except juicy offer carry me comot.

The owner simply doesnt want weekly delivery

If you’re talking about repairs, does repair happen daily or weekly? Repairs should be something they both tend to when it happens. Maybe an agreement that says repairs of 30k & below should be done by the driver and any repair above 30k, the owner can come in with a share ratio. For instance, a repair of 100k, after deducting the 30k that the driver is supposed to solely use for the repair, the balance will be 70k so that 70k balance is what they will now use their ratio to share. It can be 50/50, 60/40 or any ratio convenient for them.

This is another good idea, the owner already stated his terms, you can negotiate as the driver because you have more experience on the field. I'm talking from the experience of someone who has given people cars to drive and i now i'm driving it myself. You can sense the owner wants his car to be well maintained.

The way you flared up its as if you are expecting one big repair that will eat up the profit daily

Going by the look of things its difficult to get a car. Most EV companies have ridiculous T & C.

There so many things that still needs renegotiating in that deal like working time. But splitting net profit is not a bad idea. You want to make the most of the deal, the owner wants the same too.

This owner said repair should be on profit, then they can share whats left from the profit. Okay, you as a driver just want to use vehicle and leave repair for owner to face.

With that clause driver will be careful with the car and also work to net higher, i have said renegotiating split is okay, thats my opinion you can drop yours too sha

You’re talking about repairs, will they be doing repairs everyday for them to deduct repairs from his daily earnings or how do they intend to deduct money for repairs? Will it be done in advance and what happens to the saved money if repairs doesn’t happen during the time of agreement or if repairs exceed the saved amount.



Also, how will the owner track his earnings, or will the driver solely depend on online trips and when he gets a juicy offline trip, he should not do it coz the owner wants to track his online earnings. Also, that arrangement can never end well, it will always bring arguments and trust issues.

I don’t understand the angle you’re seeing that arrangement from but being as an owner and also a driver, that arrangement is very absurd and will only end up with issues.

I might feel the 40% is low, but this is another way to go about it instead of driver handling repairs and delivering certain amount weekly

No matter what there will always be issues btw them you just have to work with the system that brings less issues.

* Working hours: 8am–7pm
* Sunday is normally the day off.
* If you want to work on Sunday, you can take another day off during the week when you need to attend to personal matters.
* The car will be picked up from my location in the morning and returned to my location every evening.
* Payment is 40% of the net profit after agreed expenses such as fuel and repairs, while I take 60%.
* GPS tracking and proper daily/weekly accounting will be in place.

I dont know how you will manage the 40% from Net profit sha. He owns the asset and the risks, you just need to work harder to NET HIGHER so your 40% can be huge at the end of the week/month
