Nigerians, Albanians, and Romanians have topped the list of countries that traffic sex workers to the United Kingdom, the Home Office has revealed after 11 people were sentenced on Thursday for trafficking sex workers. According to a report by Thomson Reuters Foundation up to 13,000 victims of modern slavery in Britain are forced to work in factories and farms, sold for sex in brothels or kept in domestic servitude, among other forms of slavery, according to the Home Office (interior ministry). Most come from Albania, Nigeria and Romania.

Celebrities › It Is Only Natural For Toke Makinwa’s Husband To Cheat- Etcetera Writes by eazydon(op): 12:12pm On Jul 18, 2015
When you heard the news that Toke Makinwa’s husband impregnated his girlfriend, you all took to social media to rain insults on Nigerian men. Why men cheat on women their love become a topic for all female radio presenters in the country. Aren’t you all tired of asking the same question over and over as if it is some perplexing unfathomable mystery?

Your question is rhetorical, but since it keeps coming up again and again, let me provide some explanations to help you understand the reasons. I will simply tell it like it is, with no bull, tact, or political correctness. It’s just that oftentimes; women do not accept the explanations. But in fact, one can understand it through common sense. Sometimes a man would cheat on his wife or girlfriend because he doesn’t love her anymore; he is bored with her, or even possibly unhappy with their relationship.

In such scenarios, even women can become unfaithful as well. Women must understand that men are fundamentally different from them and wired differently too. We all know this but feminists try to suppress or deny this universal fact. A man craves variety and seeks novelty, while women prefer familiarity. Men will naturally desire variety when it comes to romantic/sexual partners more than women will. Men easily get bored by the same thing every day or a routine and we are sometimes afraid to voice this. Think about this. You ate your favourite eba and egusi soup, and on the second day that you ate it, the pleasure would be noticeably less than the first day. And after a week of eating it, you’d get tired of it and start to strongly desire to eat something else.

Your desire for that eba will have diminished at that point. I know what you are thinking now, “You can’t compare food with people” right? That’s the typical female reaction to this analogy. However, I’m sorry to say that this analogy does apply because it’s one of the best and simplest ways that it can be explained. I am not trying to objectify people. But by accepting such an analogy, it will start making sense to you that men are more visually stimulated than women are. And when a man relies on visual stimulation for arousal, the stimulation wears off at some point, which then requires new stimulation from new women. Got the drift? In other words, visual stimulation is a sensual thing that is fleeting in nature and requires constant variety in order to maintain the stimulation. Thus, men who seek visual stimulation will require variety from more than one partner or lover. Women often argue that “true love” never gets old.

But the notion of “true love” is indefinable, very personable, and highly subjective. And even for the sake of this argument, if we agree that “true love” never gets old and never wears out, that still doesn’t change what we’re talking about here. You see, even if a man has true everlasting unending love for his woman, he can STILL desire another woman he fancies. That’s what our women have to understand, rather than cling to naïve clichés of society. A woman’s heart tends to be able to love only one man at a time, a man’s heart is different and can truly love MORE THAN ONE woman at a time. This might be hard for you to accept, and unfathomable to your values and beliefs about “love.”

But it is the truth. A man’s heart is molded differently with multiple chambers that enable him to love and desire multiple women. It’s like a tree with different branches, rather than just one. Men usually won’t admit it, because our society doesn’t accept this, but condemns it. Ladies, to understand this, think about all the different colours you love. You love pink and sky blue, or red, blue, black and purple. Now, can you like more than one colour at a time? Of course you can! You like the different colours in different ways, on different things, and for the different ambiance and mood that each colour accentuates, right?

Likewise, you can like more than one type of cuisine right? Can you like Chinese and Italian foods at the same time? Of course you can. Even if society said you could only like one type of cuisine, it wouldn’t make a difference, would it? After all, society may attempt to create mutually exclusivities, but reality doesn’t.

These are painfully obvious examples, and I am not arguing that people are like colours or food, but such simple analogies do describe what’s going on inside those who love more than one person or like having many lovers. Just because a man tells more than one woman that he “loves her,” desires her, or has feelings for her, does NOT make him a “playboy” or “liar.” He is not necessarily “playing” in terms of acting, nor does it mean he is using people in some sort of pretend “game” where he doesn’t care about their feelings. These are just false judgements by the society especially a feminist or female dominated society like Nigeria is fast becoming. To some women, it doesn’t make sense and doesn’t fit their definition of love and loyalty. But it’s the truth. That’s reality and you’ve got to accept it if you want to try to understand it. Not all men unequivocally attach loyalty to true love. Society might do so, but not all human beings do.

What women have to understand is that being in a loving relationship does NOT automatically erase one’s desire for other people. Of course, men who have multiple partners often do have to lie to the women they romance, by telling them that they are the only one when confronted with the issue. So that is one area in which men commonly lie. However, it doesn’t make them dishonest people in general. It’s just that since most women cannot accept that their partner can pursue someone else beside them, demanding total monogamy in love; men with multiple desires for multiple women are FORCED to lie in order to prevent chaos and failure in courtship.

There is no easy way around it. And that is the case even if they are generally honest men. (After all, who hasn’t lied? Everyone has at one time or another, so stop pretending to be an angel!) Loving or desiring multiple women has nothing to do with right or wrong, or being good or bad. It is simply a lifestyle and often these men are simply expressing who they are. Thus, infidelity does not make a man “bad” in a moral sense. Often, these men who romance multiple women are tender, caring, good-hearted, loving, nurturing people. Some are even deeply spiritual or religious. He doesn’t love you? My dear, the line between love and lust is blurry and subject to personal opinion.

There is no universal objective measuring stick for differentiating between “love” (which has so many different meanings anyway) and “lust.” In reality, a man can find the perfect woman, who outshines the rest in his life, and can even have a perfect relationship with her, but still look at another woman he finds attractive and desires to court her, romance her, and experience the wonders and pleasures of her femininity as well. Some men get a “high” or adrenaline rush from courting, romancing, or seducing new women, in a way that nothing else can, and thus are addicted to it. My ladies, there are no perfect solutions or answers to everything. Just accept that some things in life are just meant to be endured, not fixed or solved like an equation. To be continued next week.

Politics › Radio Biafra Fires Back At NBC Again, Says You Lied, We Are Still Broadcasting by eazydon(op): 10:54am On Jul 18, 2015
After NBC said in a statement yesterday that SSS have arrested engineers of Biafra Radio and seized their transmitters, the radio operators have fired back saying it is not true and they are still very much operating.

They denied the news that any of their engineers were arrested by SSS men and said instead they are broadcasting strongly.

On its official website and via its Twitter account, the management of the radio outfit said; “We want to categorically report to great and hardcore ‪‎Biafrans that the news going around the media that our engineer was arrested by DSS is false. “All our engineers are intact. We urge you to remain formidable and disciplined, the battle is heavy and we are winning already. We are live in Biafraland. Call on Chukwu Okike Abiama to help us all and our leader Nnamdi Kanu. “We are unstoppable. We are formidable. We Biafrans we have superior technology. All that money is wasted,” it said.

Family › Boy, Girl 10 & 8 Caught Having S3x In Ajegunle by eazydon(op):
Wonders shall never cease!

Two families resident in the Ajegunle area of Lagos state ahave rained unprintable curses on themselves after a 10-year-old boy was caught by his father having carnal knowledge with an eight-year-old girl of the other family. It is said that the children were playing hide and seek when the boy, 10, invited the girl, 8 into their apartment on Idewu street and told her to pull her clothes so that they ‘would do it.’

They climbed his father’s bed and were on it when the father, a commercial mini-bus driver, identified as David Udoh opened the door and saw the two kids having carnal knowledge.

Mr Udoh was said to have dragged them outside before he raised the alarm. Anna’s mother, Sarah was said to have hollered that the boy has taught her daughter a bad thing. The woman claimed that her daughter is too small to know what sex is all about. Udoh on his part claimed that his son was innocent also.

The two kids were asked what transpired and the girl said, “It was the boy that told her to remove her clothes, including undies so that we could do it. I told him no and he pushed me to the bed and I pulled my clothes. He removed my pant.”

One of their co-tenants, John Ukaegbu appealed to the two families not to quarrel over the incident since both kids are minors. Ukaegbu advised: “Probably you parents did not allow your children to sleep before performing the adult show. Children of nowadays are very wise. Allow them to sleep first if not, you are the people teaching them immorality. Sex should be a hidden thing,” he said. The two kids were flogged six lashes each before they were told to go and sleep in their respective apartments. They both promised not to commit such an act again.

You are very right to question religion

Why Question Religion?

Suppose you need to have surgery for a life-threatening illness. You would want to have the utmost confidence in the surgeon, since your life will be in his hands. Would it not be prudent to review his record of experience?

Similarly, it is wise to examine religion carefully. If you belong to a religious organization, you are, in effect, putting your spiritual life in its hands. This includes your prospects for salvation.

Jesus provided a standard to help us view religion objectively. He said: “Each tree is known by its own fruit.” (Luke 6:44) For example, when you look at a particular religion or denomination, what fruitage does it bear? Do its religious leaders place excessive emphasis on money? Do its members follow Bible principles regarding warfare and morals? Finally, is any religion deserving of trust?

We will examine these issues in my next posts.

But before then, I hope we are getting close to answering your initial question and please feel free to ask any more questions

So, How Can You Find the True Religion?

Illustrating how to tell the difference between those who practice true religion and those who do not, the Bible says: “By their fruits you will recognize them. Never do people gather grapes from thorns or figs from thistles, do they?” (Matthew 7:16) Just as you can distinguish a grapevine from a thornbush by what it produces, you can distinguish true religion from false by its fruits, or by these identifying features.

1.True religion teaches the truth that is based on the Bible, not on human philosophies. (John 4:24; 17:17) This includes religious truths about the soul and the hope of everlasting life on a paradise earth. (Psalm 37:29; Isaiah 35:5, 6; Ezekiel 18:4) It also does not hold back from exposing religious falsehood.—Matthew 15:9; 23:27, 28.

2. True religion helps people to know God, including teaching them his name, Jehovah. (Psalm 83:18; Isaiah 42:8; John 17:3, 6) It does not teach that he is incomprehensible or aloof; rather, it teaches that he wants us to have a relationship with him.—James 4:8.

3. True religion highlights Jesus Christ as the one through whom God grants salvation. (Acts 4:10, 12) Its members obey Jesus’ commands and strive to follow his example.—John 13:15; 15:14.

4. True religion focuses on God’s Kingdom as mankind’s only hope. Its members actively tell others about that Kingdom.—Matthew 10:7; 24:14.

5. True religion promotes unselfish love. (John 13:35) It teaches respect for all ethnic groups and welcomes people from all races, cultures, languages, and backgrounds. (Acts 10:34, 35) Moved by love, its members do not go to war.—Micah 4:3; 1 John 3:11, 12.

6. True religion has no paid clergy, and it does not give high-sounding religious titles to any of its members.—Matthew 23:8-12; 1 Peter 5:2, 3.

7. True religion is completely neutral in political affairs. (John 17:16; 18:36) However, its members respect and obey the government where they live, in harmony with the Bible’s command: “Pay back Caesar’s things to Caesar [representing the civil authority], but God’s things to God.”—Mark 12:17; Romans 13:1, 2.

8. True religion is a way of life, not just a ritual or a formality. Its members adhere to the Bible’s high moral standards in all aspects of life. (Ephesians 5:3-5; 1 John 3:18) Rather than being grim, though, they find joy in worshipping “the happy God.”—1 Timothy 1:11.

9. Those who practice true religion will be in the minority. (Matthew 7:13, 14) Members of the true religion are often looked down on, ridiculed, and persecuted for doing God’s will.—Matthew 5:10-12.

But do you feel like 'True religion is not just ‘the right religion for me’?

There is a danger in choosing a religion based solely on how it makes us feel. The Bible foretold a time when people would “surround themselves with [religious] teachers to have their ears tickled.” (2 Timothy 4:3) In contrast, the Bible encourages us to follow “the religion that is clean and undefiled from the standpoint of our God and Father,” even if that religion is unpopular.—James 1:27, footnote; John 15:18, 19.
Christianity Etc › Re: Is God Calling Me Back? by eazydon(m): 2:49pm On Jul 15, 2015
Is It Necessary to Belong to an Organized Religion?

Yes, because God wants people to gather for worship. The Bible says: “Let us consider one another so as to motivate to love and fine works, not forsaking our meeting together.”—Hebrews 10:24, 25, footnote.

Jesus indicated that his followers would form an organized group when he said to them: “By this all will know that you are my disciples—if you have love among yourselves.” (John 13:35) As a primary way of showing this love, disciples of Christ would associate with fellow believers. They would be organized into congregations that meet regularly for worship. (1 Corinthians 16:19) Collectively, they would form a worldwide brotherhood.—1 Peter 2:17.

But then, more is needed than just belonging to a religion

While the Bible shows that people should gather to worship God, it does not teach that a person can please God by just being a member of a religion. To be approved by God, a person’s religion must affect his everyday life. For example, the Bible says: “The religion that is clean and undefiled from the standpoint of our God and Father is this: to look after orphans and widows in their tribulation, and to keep oneself without spot from the world.”—James 1:27,

To continue...

But What Is the Good News About Religion?

1. Is all religion good?

There are sincere people in all religions. It is good news that God sees those people and cares about them. But sadly, religion has been used for evil ends. (2 Corinthians 4:3, 4; 11:13-15) According to news reports, some religions are even involved in terrorism, genocide, war, and child abuse. How this saddens sincere believers in God!—Read Matthew 24:3-5, 11, 12.

Whereas true religion glorifies God, false religion displeases him. It teaches ideas that are not in the Bible, including false teachings about God and about the dead. But God (Jehovah) wants people to know the truth about him.—Read Ezekiel 18:4; 1 Timothy 2:3-5.

2. What is the good news about religion?

Happily, God is not deceived by religions that claim to love him but are really in love with Satan’s world. (James 4:4) God’s Word refers to all false religion as “Babylon the Great.” Babylon was the ancient city where false religion began after the Flood of Noah’s day. Soon, God will bring a sudden end to religion that deceives and oppresses mankind.—Read Revelation 17:1, 2, 5, 16, 17; 18:8.

There is more good news. God has not forgotten the sincere people who are scattered among all kinds of religions worldwide. He is uniting such people by teaching them the truth.—Read Micah 4:2, 5.

3. What should sincere people do?

God cares about people who love what is true and good. He urges them to leave false religion behind. People who love God are willing to make changes to please him.—Read Revelation 18:4.

In the first century, when sincere people heard the good news from the apostles, they responded with joy. They learned a new way of life from God, a happier way of life with a purpose and a hope. They are a good example for us today because they responded to the good news by putting God first in their lives.—Read 1 Thessalonians 1:8, 9; 2:13.

God welcomes into his family of worshippers those who turn away from false religion. If you accept God’s warm invitation, you will receive his friendship, a new and loving family of fellow worshippers of God, and everlasting life.—Read Mark 10:29, 30; 2 Corinthians 6:17, 18.

4. How will God bring joy to every land?

The coming judgment of false religion is good news. It will bring worldwide relief from oppression. Never again will false religion mislead and divide mankind. Everyone living will be united in the worship of the only true God.—Read Revelation 18:20, 21; 21:3, 4.

Ok.

Is there a particular way to God? If yes, which/what is it?
Thanks for that question and I am very glad that you really desire to know the truth.

First of all, to get a broader view of the answer to your question, we have to consider a very important issue - Are All Religions the Same? Do They All Lead to God? This is somehow related to your question and we will treat this first before coming to your question. Also please note that all my answers will be based basically on the scriptures if you don't mind, and this is devoid of any misinterpretations as is common today

Are All Religions the Same? Do They All Lead to God?

No, all religions are not the same. The Bible contains many examples of religions that displease God. These fall into two basic categories.

Category 1: Worshipping false gods

The Bible describes the worship of false gods with such terms as “delusion,” “futility,” and “useless.” (Jeremiah 10:3-5; 16:19, 20) Jehovah * God commanded the ancient nation of Israel: “You must not have any other gods besides me.” (Exodus 20:3, 23; 23:24) When the Israelites worshipped other gods, “God became enraged.”—Numbers 25:3; Leviticus 20:2; Judges 2:13, 14.

God still has the same attitude toward the worship of such “so-called gods.” (1 Corinthians 8:5, 6; Galatians 4:cool He commands those who want to worship him to stop associating with those who practice false religion, saying: “Get out from among them, and separate yourselves.” (2 Corinthians 6:14-17)

Now ask yourself, if all religions are the same and lead people to God, then why would God give such a command?

Category 2: Worshipping the true God in a way he does not approve

At times, the Israelites worshipped God using beliefs and practices borrowed from the worship of false gods, but God rejected this attempt to mix true religion with false. (Exodus 32:8; Deuteronomy 12:2-4) Jesus condemned the religious leaders of his day because of the way they worshipped God; they made an outward show of being religious, yet they hypocritically “disregarded the weightier matters of the Law, namely, justice and mercy and faithfulness.”—Matthew 23:23.

Likewise today, only religion that is based on truth leads people to God. This truth is found in the Bible. (John 4:24; 17:17; 2 Timothy 3:16, 17) Religions whose teachings conflict with the Bible actually steer people away from God. Many teachings that people think come from the Bible—including the Trinity, the immortal soul, and eternal torment(in hell)—were borrowed from those who worshipped false gods. Worship that promotes such teachings is “in vain,” or useless, because it replaces God’s requirements with religious traditions.—Mark 7:7, 8.

God detests religious hypocrisy. (Titus 1:16) To help people draw closer to God, a religion must affect their everyday lives and not just consist of rituals or formalities. For example, the Bible says: “If any man thinks he is religious but does not keep a tight rein on his tongue, he is deceiving his own heart, and his worship is futile. The religion that is clean and undefiled from the standpoint of our God and Father is this: to look after orphans and widows in their tribulation, and to keep oneself without spot from the world.” (James 1:26, 27; footnotes) The King James Version uses the expression “pure religion” for this clean, unhypocritical worship.

I am very happy for this development

Abia State Government said on Monday that it would soon commence “massive” renovation of abandoned property in Aba and other parts of the state, including Enyimba Hotel, Aba.

This is contained in a statement issued and signed by Mr Godwin Adindu, the Chief Press Secretary to Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu, and made available to newsmen in Umuahia.

It quoted Adindu as saying that the initiative was part of the government’s policy on Aba Urban Renewal.

The statement expressed regret that the hotel complex, located on the shores of Aba waterside and abandoned for over two decades , had been taken over by illegal squatters and miscreants.

“Government is aware that over the years, illegal squatters and miscreants have turned the place to their abode.

“Government is therefore, serving notice to all the illegal occupants in the building to vacate the place within one week of this notice”.

The statement said that the relevant government agencies had been directed to begin massive rehabilitation of the building. (NAN)

Celebrities › July 17 Officially Declared As ‘Basketmouth Day’ In Houston, US by eazydon(op):
Award winning Nigerian comedian, Bright Okpocha popular known as Basketmouth is currently flying the country’s flag high. Few hours ago, the Mayor of the City of Houston, Texas, Ms. Annise Danette Parker, proclaimed July 17 as the official ‘Basketmouth Day’ in Houston.

The declaration was made in recognition of Basketmouth’s immense contribution towards integrating the Nigerian American Community through his art for the past 6 years in Houston. As part of the celebrations, a congressional recognition ceremony will hold on July 18, 2015, the same day as Basketmouth’s ‘One Man Stand’ comedy concert entitled ‘Basketmouth Uncensored’.

The event is scheduled to hold at the Ayya Centre, Houston, Texas, USA. This honour puts Basketmouth as the first Nigerian to have a day officially named after him in the history of the United States. Ms. Annise Danette Parker, who conferred the honour on Basketmouth is an American politician who has been elected Houston Mayor three times, serving since January 2, 2010. She also served as an at-large member of the Houston City Council from 1998 to 2003 and city controller from 2004 to 2010. Parker is Houston’s second female mayor (after Kathy Whitmire), and one of the first openly gay mayors of a major U.S. City. See the proclamation document below.
