Hantonia:You called that greeting ![]() |
Hantonia:Chill you will soon see those who care. No mind your own business you hear? Polytechnic person |
Which university did you lay your benchmark on? Because if it's Mbanefo hostel UNN, ehn your points never do at all o! I will list out some of the fun Is it the early morning cry from nfcs representative "good morning, wake up for the morning rosary " I was once a rep anyway. Is it banging the veranda rail by boys and hailing tanker! Tanker!!when a female chick is passing in the middle of the field instead of climbing the staircase? Or reading in your room and you hear "Okpa di okun ". The speed at which you will rush out ehn Hostel football. Every evening we come down to play on our mini pitch. The feeling of all hostels in UNN cannot be compared to that of mbanefo hostel. All great and super lions and lionesses in the house!!! Roaaaar please! |

double0seven:If you are dead drunk and left in a car with all the windows shut, how long before you exhaust the oxygen available? If I was so drunk I'll definitely be sleeping hence it's not like he was locked for several hours |
I would really love to know how this end. |
thesicilian:You are not in Nigeria bros |
thesicilian:Yes but not when the people are gullible. If you were among them, would you reject the offer? Accepting doesn't mean you will vote for the person, does it? |
thesicilian:Agreed, but who is benefitting from it? |
Now you see why you should have paid more attention during Economic Lesson when you were in secondary school |

talk2ekpa:yes you are right , its relative. What about you? You ended up not talking about your own opinion |
Are you a fan of having your pictures uploaded on social media like Facebook, Nairaland etc? Showing the world that you are about to get married? Posting here and there! You guys laughing, smiling and playing like you two are in Disneyland! An image of two people who are madly inlove? How do you deal with such an issue if you are the type who doesn't like spotlight but getting married to a person who is the opposite? It's a good thing to take pictures for the home albums, yes I would really love that, but having to show everyone on the planet!!! people i don't even know exist! What is the essence of uploading the pictures online in the first place? I believe ladies are the instigators of these acts. Guys don't have time for such drama, well maybe a few guys. And the reasons are not too farfetche: To be the envy of everyone who views the pictures? To get likes and comments? To be the talk of the town? To read the AWWW!! and OHHHH!!! After that period of let's say 3 or 4 days of continuous bombardment of comments from people (even those you don't know), what next? I have come to realize that most of what we do when it's having to do with wedding preparation has a lot to do about what people would say or think rather than what you really want for your event. Some are even turning into a competition? with who exactly? probably someone you know who invited you to their own wedding? Or maybe you have a targeted person/audience who you want to show off to. Painting an expression that all is well is basically the reason for uploading pictures of you and your partner in happy and celebrating mood. The social media is just like a mirror. You will see a fine reflection but you cannot see what is going on within it. The social media is now a tool to tell the world "my marriage is perfect", "I found my perfect partner" even when it is not the case. Social media lives among couples most times are the opposite of what is really going on in their home, in most case but not all. I rather we use the social media to propagate messages and news. I rather we use the social media to educate ourselves on the right and wrongs in the society. I rather we use the social media to fight corruption. I rather we use the social media to tell the world the truth about our country. I rather we use the social media to promote love and unity. I am not a fan of telling the world I am getting married by uploading beautiful pictures on social media. I really don't see how it concerns you, who are reading this post. My families and friends are those who should even have info about the event. Don't get me wrong, but I am a fan of the social media, most especially Facebook. I can mention benefits I derive from Facebook: 1. Meeting old and long forgotten friends again. 2. Getting old school songs and videos from groups and meeting fans who are even crazier than me. 3. Friend's birthday remembrance. In brief, posting of your pre-wedding photos online should not be for strangers. What is their business about your marriage to start with? unless you are a celebrity, in which case you won't even be the one to post them online. But if you are not a celebrity, send them to friends and families who would make comments that would come with genuine affection and congratulations. |
One has to change with the present day conditions. Imagine being around in the 70's / 80's. The talk about the girl having to work would not arise because boys are working and the economy was booming. These days you can still do that if you are very rich or earn a very very good income, where you can afford your wife to stay at home and do nothing but cook and raising your kids. But the population are those who earn average incomes, and how would you expect a man who hasn't made himself comfortable now take responsibility of another person? |
Shior! The same news the daughter mentioned in the other day. |
What do you expect? Is it not here on nairaland that we see news of different animal species being killed by Nigerians and the next thing is to eat it. |
simultaneousboi:mumu....read the news and not the writer
|
BUT WHAT WAS HIS REASONS? OH I FORGOT, HE KILLED HIMSELF. |
OP JUST WASTED HIS TIME TO TYPE ALL THESE JARGONS FORGETTING THAT NAIJA PEOPLE ARE VERY PATIENT. LOOK AT THE ECONOMY AND HOW PATIENCE WE HAVE BEEN FOR IT TO GET BETTER. ITS NOW TSTV THAT WE WILL NOT WAIT FOR? GERRRAAHA HERE |
only possible if some of the strong western countries are also on the conspiracy. |
Very soon Buhari will create another room for his daughter for making such a comment. I wonder what the name of the room would be this time |
Yes, more than 30years ago when I was in jss3 |
