You hit the nail on the head at the bolded. The country is even suffering the southern minorities like Akwa Ibom, Delta, Rivers and Crossriver just because of the Igbo. The policy is to slow the Igbo down even if the minority tribes go down. Unfortunately, what they couln't slow down is the natural intelligence of the Ibos. That's why Igbo kids still dominate in examinations.

Secondly, an intelligent people are usually organized, civilized m, decent in attitude etc. One of the most important traits of intelligence is the ability to correctly predict the likely outcome of an action or decision one is about to take and therefore apply restraint if necessary.
On that note Igbo political leaders can't be said to be intelligent as all the positions and decisions they took on important national questions ended up ruining the Igbo race. Examples are as follows:
1. The decision to enter into a governing coalition with NPC thus giving power to the most educationally backward people to pioneer governance in a new country seeking to find its foot in good governance.

2. Deciding to go into a political partnership that would give absolute political power to the very section of the country where their own brothers had experienced two pogroms without any justifiable reason.

3. Believing that a bloody coup was the best solution to resolve mere political differences among politicians among whom there are no permanent friends or enemies.

4. Declaring a war and relying on hurriedly recruited teenage boys with sticks and cutlasses for weapons against a well trained Nigeria Army armed with the state of the art firearms.

5. Believing that a country of over 300 tribes could be successfully governed by a strong centre hence the campaign for one-Nigeria by Igbos.


Then above all, your well known claim that the coupists (who were mostly Igbos) did the coup with the ultimate intention to bring Awolowo to power because they adjuded him as the only non-mediocre among all the political class, is an indictment of this alleged Igbo intelligence. It was a case of a group of Igbos confessing that they couldn't find an Igbo man intelligent enough to correctly govern Nigeria but found it in a Yoruba man.
Even Ojukwu himself, the man whom Igbos have come to believe is their greatest leader used his own mouth to publicly declare that this Yoruba man in question was the best president Nigeria never had. Why couldn't he find same from among his own supposedly more intelligent tribe?

3) Why would you be a prosecutor and judge in a case you have vested interest in as an African or even a Nigerian? Don't you think that nonAfricans such as Europeans and Americans are in the best position of objectivity to assess the most intelligent and smartest African tribe since it's obvious that as an African, emotions such as jealousy would play a role in making you distort the truth?

4) if the European countries and Americans who are obviously more advanced than you and whose schools teach you say Igbo are the most intelligent African tribe, what evidence can you provide to the contrary?

It is a matter of simple Economic principle of price increase when demand outweighs supply.

In biology, we learned about the principle of adaptation which even lower and unintelligent animals practice to survive in times of existential threat and extremely harsh conditions.
The real test of Intelligence thus IQ is how inventive you are in a time of peace and comfort. This is what keeps America at the top of the world power table as America votes so much money for research and their scientists are always in the laboratory even in time of no visible external threat to their country.

So it just you making unsuccessful attempt to change facts which you can't do even given 1000 lifetimes.

Since it's proven that Igbo are the smartest tribe in Africa, the question you should be struggling with is why the Igbo couldn't stop the British conquest of the Igbo country since they were the most intelligent African tribe in a position to have done so.
