Thanks a lot, ladymarshall!
I really appreciate!

ladymarshall:
To be safe, answer yes to the medical question and explain in the space under that you do not consider his condition to be serious and you believe it would not burden their health system. But you would like to be entirely honest and disclose. If you have medical reports from specialists upload as well. You can also submit it to the panel physician during medical exams, although that might not be necessary since the physician would give his own report acceptable to CIC.

CIC would use their discretion. If during medicals, they decide it is not a serious case, you would still pass medicals despite answering yes to that question. I answered yes in mine as I thought my health issue would be serious but I still passed.

[b]CONGRATULATIONS on your PPR fruitybranch007!

I wish you and your family great success in your new homeland!

Please, I am about to submit my application and my son had a birth injury (called ERB's palsy) at birth, which affected the nerves to his left arm and makes it difficult for him to raise it as high as his right arm. He requires occasional physiotherapy to strengthen some of his left shoulder muscles. Otherwise, he is healthy in every other regard.

Please, how did you go about declaring your dependent's Medical condition?

And based on our case (highlighted above), how do you advise I proceed with mine (what do I submit initially) to avoid additional requests/delays?

Did you upload the Medical reports from specialists along with a Schedule A form with your application? Or were they submitted during Medical exams with the Panel Physician? OR BOTH?

On the Schedule A form, please what is the BEST/SAFEST answer to the question "Do you or any of your family members have a SERIOUS medical or PHYSICAL or Mental disorder"?

Please advise!

Elders in the house, please help us with your wise advise. (Although we know this condition should ordinarily not be classified as SERIOUS, we are particularly concerned about the Excessive demand clause that could make one medically inadmissible and want to take practical steps to strengthen our case/application).

Thanks!

It's PPR time. All glory to God. Many thanks to all the good people on Nairaland for all the useful information that you share.
IELTS: September 8, 2018
Got into the pool immediately after I got my result.
CRS score: 464
ITA: 3rd October 2018
Medicals: Nov 5, 2018. Additional investigations and letters from specialists were required, because my dependents had medical conditions at birth, and we were required to prove that those issues had resolved. This went on for about 2 months.

Thanks Sultanlek!

Sultanlek:
In my opinion, you should enter the pool with the result you have, if the cutoff drops and you get ITA continue with the application provided your ielts score didn’t change after remark. But if it changes you will decline the ITA and go back into the pool with a better crs. It’s a win win
My opinion tho

Thanks!
I appreciate your response.

mbhs139:
Thank you bro.

In response to your questions,
Remark was only done in speaking and the result took like a month before it was ready, after which I had a 7.5 having score 6.5 initially. I don't understand what you mean by what section of the speaking test I applied for remark. I only applied for remark in the speaking test and that was all.

Yes, I had created my EE profile long before I sat for the first attempt of ielts, but didn't enter the pool until I got the required points for ITA. In other words, incase if that's what you want to know, you can create your profile right from the world go, provided you already have those documents you are claiming and not in anticipation. But for entering the EE pool, I would suggest you first of all ace the Ielts.

CONGRATULATIONS mbhs139!
Please I would really appreciate your assistance with some clarifications, to jelp me make an informed decision.
Please how long did your IELTS remark take?
Did you remark all sections or just Speaking and Writing?
What sections were increased?
Did you have an Express Entry profile while awaiting the Results of the EOR?
Thanks in advance!

Thanks Nuges11!
I am really confused.
I would kick myself if the ITA Cut-Off score drops while I am awaiting the results of the IELTS remarking, only to rise afterwards...
What would be even worse is if the IELTS scores don't change, and I loose both the 15k and a possible ITA chance.

Nuges11:
Very similar scores and situation. If I had your reading score my CRS score would have been 438.

You can't use your IELTS result while it's being reviewed though, but you can remark and wait for the outcome before entering the pool. From my calculations based on the last draw, it'll take a couple of back to back draws for cut off to drop below 440 so I'm thinking you might use that window to get your IELTS remarked and hope to get your writing up to 7.5. Or you can enter the pool now and hope cut off drops really low (there are indications that there'd be a lot more draws in 2019)

Wish you all the best on your journey

Thank you Ladymarshal!
Please how long did your remarking take?
Did you specify only Speaking and Writing or is it okay to let them remark ALL parts?

ladymarshall:
@ebixxx You cannot use the IELTS scores while under remark.

Check here https://www.ieltscanada.ca/resultsenquiry

"During the period of remarking, the test results are locked, and cannot be used to apply to universities or be sent to an immigration office. Any extra TRF application lodged during this period will be disregarded."

CONGRATULATIONS!
Wonderful scores and more importantly CRS of 456.

EmeraldConsults:
It has began in praise!

Wrote IELTS (BC) for the first time on 9th February.

Result: LRSW - 9,9,8.5,7

Prepared for about 1month.

LISTENING: I really didn't use any video. I practised mainly with the Cambridge materials. I discovered I had major challenge with the MCQ questions, so I learnt to:
-focus more
-get involved in the discussion by creating a mental picture and this helped my concentration
-practice more and more.
Funny enough, I still scored below 36 a number of time during the exam week.

READING: I started with one very difficult material I downloaded from pdf drive. It really scared me cos I couldn't get above 34, my average was 30. When I finally got the Cambridge material, I was getting 38, 39 & 40. My main challenge here was the T, F, NG questions.
-it is TRUE: if the statement can be FOUND (without assumption) in the passage
-it is FALSE: if the statement is COMPLETELY opposite to what's in the passage
-it is NOT GIVEN: if there's no info at all about the statement in the passage
NB: Don't assume anything based on previous knowledge, it's all about the given passage.

SPEAKING: I really didn't do much preparation here cos I'm naturally as chatty person, I can make up stories easily. I got some questions from IELTSLiz website and watched her videos. Practised the difficult ones with a friend some days before the test. On the test day, I just flowed with the guy as a friend. He practically had to cut me short on almost all questions.

READING: Hmmmmmm... na here my wahala & nightmare deyyyy. I dreaded the writing when I was seeing the failure rate. Long story short, I used Jay's, Chris Pell 5-day challenge & IELTS UP videos (all from YouTube)... and they helped to reduce my fear. Then @wasseynewest (God bless you sir!) came to the rescue my adding me to a free WhatsApp group for writing and the tutor was quite good with criticising my writing especially task 2.

Still awaiting ECA though, CRS is 456

It will surely end in praise...!

Please o, what documents do I need to start gathering to make my submission fast?

Hello TheRayem!
I also wrote on the 9th of February and am considering requesting for remarking. I scored: L 8.5/ S 7.5/ R 8/ W 7, but my CRS is still 439 (need 7.5 in writing to move up to 442 and continue prayers and waiting).
Can I still get my IELTS TRF number on Monday and use to enter the pool in the meantime, while awaiting the outcome of remarking? OR is there a rule against that?
If miraculously the CRS cut-off score for ITA drops to 439 and my IELTS remarking score changes, will that be taken as misrepresentation?
Please Gurus advice...
Thanks!

TheRayem:
I got a 6.5 in writing but I accept your congratulations in faith. Will go apply for remarking for writing on Monday.
