Good morning house! Glad to finally be on this thread and hope to join you all in our dream land soon. We submitted our passports about 2 weeks ago and expecting COPR soon. We are presently considering moving to Edmonton, Alberta in June, but have no family in Canada, so willing to change our minds to anywhere opportunities for advancement abound. Please landed seniors in the Medical Field (@vcole, @ekpekus, and all others), please can you assist with advice on Clinical and Non-clinical pathways to employment for IMGs to explore in Canada? Is there any pre-arrival program that may be helpful for Doctors? (I came across PASS for Nurses). Most of the info (regarding pathways for Doctors) on this thread are from 2017. I have also read from other threads of the challenges of getting back into practice even after Passing the Exams (due to limited Residency slots for IMGs). Please kindly assist with practical advice based on your experiences (and those of others you know). Information regarding alternative careers one can explore will also be appreciated. Hello @Julius10! You need to rewrite IELTS and score at least L,R,S,W - 8,7,7,7. The 384 is accurate with your current IELTS score and profile. You wrongly put your 2 years of work experience under CANADIAN WORK EXPERIENCE (... how many years of skilled work experience in Canada do you have) instead of under TOTAL YEARS OF WORK EXPERIENCE (... how many total years of skilled work experience do you have). That is what gave you 449. Sadly, with the right IELTS scores (8,7,7,7) alone, your CRS score will still be 437. So you have to be patient until you have the magic 3 years of work experience, which will shoot your score up to 462. Hopefully, this will be sufficient at the time you get your 3rd year of work experience (as it is NOT presently - based on the recent ITA cut offs being above 470). You can also start learning French while you wait to further boost your score (easier said than done by some people, as I couldn't). Try to go through Page 1 and understand the process and requirements better. That way you will know how best to set your targets and achieve them. I wish you the best. Julius10: 5 Likes |

I think he used WES Standard ECA as opposed to ECA Application for IRCC. Cuz he mentioned that: "... in my first Webform I had the standard ECA then. But in 2nd webform I sent 20th I had the correct ECA for the purpose of IRCC". Cryptomania:

Hello @passionate2019! Very sorry to hear about the rejection. I would advice you hurriedly create a new EE profile and try to get across to AINP if they can reissue the certificate of nomination and link it to your new EE profile. At least that way you are sure of getting ITA in the next round of invitations. ECA is one of the MANDATORY documents to be submitted at time of EE profile submission and I doubt a judicial review (after paying a Canadian Lawyer huge sums in dollars) will change much. Usually, it should have been spotted at R10 (Completeness Check stage) and rejected to spare you the wait and heart ache. There is a case on Canadavisa.com of an active member with the profile name - sithlord who had a similar case and his application got rejected after 8 months partly (amongst other reasons though) due to a WES ECA error (which despite assessing two Certificates, did not state Two or more Certificates in the CONCLUSION). He got WES to correct it and resent via a webform, but I guess them Canadians stick with their rules - Incomplete applications get rejected. Do all you can to still try to appeal, through any means (MPs, etc). But realistically, it appears the VO has reached a final decision, which can only be overturned by a Judicial review. The VO, however, in this case can easily defend his reason for the rejection - INCOMPLETE APPLICATION or FAILED R10. Please act fast and try to secure your AINP Nomination and ITA. Very acceptable to combine NOCs, once you have 1year or more of continuous work experience in your Primary NOC, which you do. Claim your 3 or more years and dive into the pool ASAP. Most of what you have said below are true/applicable (as the TRF is not "magically automatically locked" and the TRF number not inputtable into your EE profile), but ALL that the others have said are also correct (you "ARE NOT MEANT TO OR ALLOWED TO" use your TRF during the remarking process). There are so many things "we" are not meant to do but still do. That is when it comes to each individual's God-given right of choice (to do right or wrong). It is your justifying it openly which makes it not too nice. This thread is in Part 9 and our predecessors simply asked this same question (I asked when in the same situation back in February 2019) got the same answer and moved on (whether they adhered or did otherwise is not for me to judge)... But please don't openly justify the wrong thing... It will never make it right (N/B: I am not climbing on any morally high-horse here). Sorry I quoted you @Cryptomania. Not meant to be confrontational or anything of such. I promised myself not to offer any advice to anyone who didn't ask a question on this thread (and I see you didn't ask a question but only tried to provide SOME CLARITY), but things we put out will end up increasing the impression of us NIGERIANS as non-rule followers (which ain't helping us). This is even stated on the VFS website under the "Submit passports and other documents tab" in the "Apply for a visa section" https://visa.vfsglobal.com/nga/en/can/apply-visa However, the attendant did NOT know this and insisted I paid (wrote the amount on a copy of my passport and sent me to the Bank section). At this stage of the process, I decided to give unto 'Ceaser' what he ignorantly demanded and go on my way. After all, this is Nigeria. Hopefully, in Canada, rules will be applied properly and people in such positions will be made to follow their organization's own policies. Nonetheless, I advise anyone with the strength to argue to insist on this (refusing to pay) and give feedback to the house on the outcome. Maybe, I was just unlucky to meet an uninformed agent. This is from the VFS website: "Submit passports and other documents If you have received a notification from the Government of Canada requesting your passport, you have either: Applied online as E-app or; You are a Permanent Resident applicant whose application has been finalized and now requires to submit the passport. You’ll have to submit the additional documents and/or passport, along with the request letter issued by the IRCC Office, at the Canada Visa Application Centre of your choice. You’ll have to pay a Package Transmission service charge while submitting additional documents and/or passport at any Canada Visa Application Centre, unless you visit the same Canada Visa Application Centre where you had initially submitted your biometric information and have not previously submitted additional documents and/or passport to support your current application." bekayy: 4 Likes 8 Shares |

My Passport Submission Experience at VFS Lagos / Process Update [ Primary source @Joo2018 part 7 https://www.nairaland.com/5031893/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled/338#77600812. Updates based on personal experience on the 20th of December 2019. ] I had some worries regarding the number of each document for families and I didn't find direct answers on the thread (maybe, I probably did NOT search properly) hence my decision to make this update to assist others. Documents remain the same: a. PPR mail [TWO copies. One copy EACH for the PA and Accompanying spouse]. N/B: I made coloured copies. b. Filled height and eye colour charts (from the PPR mail) [TWO Copies as above] c. Original International passport for each family member (i.e: Including children as applicable) d. TWO (2) photocopies of each family member's International passport. N/B: They only took One (1) photocopy of my passport and that of my wife, but took the Two (2) copies for each child. This is because the earlier submitted photocopies of my wife's passport and mine which we were given back after Biometrics with our Biometric slip was used. (So, if you still have that, just ONE more photocopy will suffice for the Parents). e. TWO (2) passport photographs in CIC specifications for each family member.. N/B: We used Studio 24. Only Hard copies required. Write Full name and Date of Birth on the back of only ONE of the two signed photographs of each family member. f. Signed VFS consent form. N/B: I stressed myself printing this out, yet they simply used the VFS consent form we earlier submitted during Biometrics, which we were given back after Biometrics with our Biometric slip. We were only told to change the date on that form to the current date. If you choose/have to download one, here is the link on their website: https://testliftcdn.vfsglobal.com/nga/en/can/-/media/project/vfs_uk/shared/pdf/consentform.pdf?la=en&hash=E6BBD1B4E595999AA60D1C770EC07E8E2840A5D1 g. Cash: NO PAYMENT IS REQUIRED if you submit your passport(s) for transmission at the same VFS Office where you did your Biometrics and still have the slip/documents issued to you after Biometrics. If submitting at a different center, you pay N7,430 per family member plus N760 ONLY for SMS. [Example: For Family of 4; (N7,430 x 4) + N760 = N30,480. Ensure you bring as close to the exact amount as possible as no change will be given (I paid N30,500 and didn't get my N20 change  .i. Depending on the instructions contained in your PPR mail, you may include a Filled IMM0008 with or without a Filled IMM5406. N/B: Follow the instructions in your PPR mail [However, some say filling form IMM0008 is optional and to be filled only if your family composition changed. For me and my house, we chose to follow instructions as we don't want to hear they (CIC) changed their minds because we refused to hear word ]VFS Global, LAGOS (Canada Visa Application Centre, First Floor, Manor Hall, Plot 110, Admiral Ayinla Way, Lekki Phase I). Google Maps was accurate. 1. Show your passport at the entrance and enter. 2. Climb the stairs to the First floor. Enter the Canada Visa Application Centre. 3. Tell the security by the entrance you are for passport submission and he will give you a slip. N/B: Please specify the number of passports you are submitting, so he indicates it while issuing the slip. 4. Sit on the chairs in front of Counters 1 and 2. 5. When your slip number (which will have a T as the last letter before the numbers - I guess indicating passport Transmission) is called, meet the attendant and give him/her your documents. He/she will arrange and put them in a RED bag. 6. You then go to Conter 5 to push your number to Counter 6. 7. Go and sit in front of Counters 6 and 7. This is the bank section. Get your cash ready. 8. When your number is called, go and pay and take your receipt. 9. Go and sit in front of Counters 8, 9 and 10. This is the Submissions section. N/B: This is particularly important as I relied on the announcer loudly calling out numbers that were displayed on the screen, and did NOT sit in front of these Counters. Wrong decision in the Submissions section; as they said they called all with T slip numbers (without the public address system) sited in front of the counters to submit their RED bags and I didn't hear as was waiting for my number to be displayed on the screen and announced loudly as they did in the previous sections. 10. When your number is called, go and submit. 12. Collect your receipt with a tracking number. 13. Go and continue your travel preparations. I hope this helps someone. Again, all credits to @Joo2018. UPDATE: My Passport Collection Experience: Took about 15 to 20minutes. Process: You drop your receipt you were given when you submitted your passport(s) at COUNTER 2 then sit in front of counter 1&2 and listen carefully for your name to be called (not through the Public address system, but by the person at counter 2). The reference letter (if it has ALL the details required by CIC) is more than enough, and in addition, you have a salary certificate, so you are good to go. I worried so much about the lack of online presence of one of the schools my wife taught in over 8years ago (as she was also paid in cash then), but in the end, it was not an issue. The CAC documents will raise red flags as I believe over 90% of employers will chase an employee out of their office for asking for their CAC document. We in addition included my wife's Employment letter, ID card, and resignation letter (stamped when received by the school back then). The Company can make copies of the latter 2 (since I am sure you submitted them when leaving) to support your application. Any publications (we used their year book) by the school bearing your names / pictures may be added too. N/B: ALL these are not necessary though, but I have not seen anyone who had issues for providing enough relevant (not too much) supporting documents. These were enough to cover the Jobs in which my wife was paid in cash / bearer cheques. Regarding the second question, I believe if anything bothers you, follow your gut and explain it, as it never hurts to make stuff clearer for a VO to arrive at a positive conclusion faster. That will also help you relax better during the wait instead of second-guessing yourself for not including stuff (just don't over-explain - keep it simple and concise). I wish you and yours the best!
