Dear Oluwaseun Osewa

I am very proud of your achievement so far and i'm sure you will excel more and contribute your portion towards building a better Nigeria.

Oluwaseun Osewa, i have a concern about your mods. My biggest web site was WSHH am america site, until i discovered Nairaland and thought it would be better to draw traffic to this rather than an american site at least to show my own support for a brother. I created an account (donnypool) and i admitted at first i was always rude in the comment section, but recently i changed.

The problem am having is that, i was arguing in the comment section with DaBullIT and the last thing i said was "you totally disgraced yourself" and i got a ban for that statement. Like what is offensive in that statement. If you go to the politics, you will see people insulting president Goodluck jonathan, Buhari, etc. these set of people don't get any ban.

I am not sure if specific people are being targeted, i also know if i stop using this site it wouldn't make any difference because i am just one person among thousands of users so it will make no difference to the site or the profit.

So am pleading for sincerity in running of this site, and hopefully you look into my username 'donnypool' and conduct a better investigation on this matter.

Regards
Donnypool.

Health / Ebola: FG Turns Back Corpse Flown In From Egypt by EbolaGoingHam(m): 11:57am On Aug 14, 2014
KANO – Aviation Authorities, Wednesday night, turned back a corpse flown into the country from Egypt at the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport.

Airport officials disallowed the family of the deceased from collecting the body flown in aboard Egypt Air at about 11.30 pm.

Airport sources confided in Vanguard that the stand by Nigerian officials was in strict compliance with the Federal Government directives that bars transportation of corpses within and outside the country to check the spread of Ebola Virus Disease.

The source explained that “though Egypt is not one of the Country with recognized case of Ebola but in this wise the directive has no exception”

The source revealed that the corpse is that of a Nigerian who had gone to the Pharaoh’s country for medical treatment.”
“We plead with the family members who had turned up at the Airport to received his corpse to bear with us in the face of a big national question that requires the understanding of citizens to surmount”, the source explained.

When contacted, Avaition Skokesman, Alhaji Yakubu Datti, decline to comment on the issue but asked Vanguard to seek confirmation from the Federal Ministry of Health.
Datti Said; ” the airport is run by a combination of official drawn from strategic ministries and since your enquiry bothers on health, I would advise you cross check your facts from Federal Ministry of Health”.

Health / See What Selfie Has Caused this Young Man: Selfie-obsessed vet killed himself by EbolaGoingHam(m): 9:22pm On Aug 03, 2014
This is sad news for family and friends of Oscar Otero Aguilar, 21, who killed himself trying to take a selfie but mistakenly shoot himself in the head.

A vet’s desire to take ever more impressive selfies and other snaps of himself to post on social media caused his death when he tried to pose with a live gun - and shot himself in the head.

Twenty-one-year-old Oscar Otero Aguilar from Mexico City had been snapped in images posted on his Facebook page in front of fast cars, sitting on expensive motorbikes, hugging beautiful women and even posing in a band.

But the man’s endless search for the most impressive snaps ended when he borrowed a gun and decided to take some pics on his mobile phone as he waved it around.

Neighbour Manfredo Paez Paez, 57, told local media: “I heard a gunshot, and then I heard somebody screaming and realised somebody had been hurt. I called the police straight away and when they arrived they found that he was still alive.”

Medics were quickly called out but the young man died on the way to hospital in an ambulance.
Police who questioned those who were in the flat when the accident happened said that he had been messing around with the gun and taking pictures when it accidentally went off.

May his soul rest in peace.

Health / Re: Ebola Cure? Nigeria Professor Research on treatment with Bitter Kola by EbolaGoingHam(m): 4:50pm On Aug 01, 2014
FutureDon:

I did too, but found nothing insightful. If true, one would expect to see published papers or citations demonstrating its efficacy/replicability. In addition, one would expect a novel discovery as this one (if truly it is) to be published in high impact journal.

Yes i get your point, at least bitter kola is every where, its not like a drug or anything. Was thinking by now they should have tried it in Liberia just to know the potency of the research. There is no need biting around the bush

Adesam01: This article was published on BBC years ago, the question that comes to mind is why hasn't this precious research output been put to use? Is it because its coming from an African (Our own Prof Maurice Iwu) or this claim is just another academic scam?

Source: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/411030.stm

I spent last night carrying out research on bitter kola too, but i didn't see anything because there wasn't a laboratory to carry out full experiment. i was just using my laptop
