Iyaibeji360: Good day mamas I am new here and I have been reading all comments. Please I need help oooo. I am on my 1st ivf treatment and I know i have gotten a BFP already. But i have some questions? 1. I am going for retrival tomorrow, what are the things i should do before and after? 2. What do i do before implantation and after? Sorry for the Fifty questions, but i need to know what to do and what not to do. @ebonynelly and other sabi mamas,i dey hail ooo. Thanks. Hope ur retrieval went well? Watch out for bloating and constipation after retrieval. The basic thing is to take lots of water. Some people suggested coconut water and eggs. Eat lots of vegetables, fruits and protein. After transfer take things a bit easier than before incase u have a strenuous job. I don't recommend bed rest cos u need blood circulation to ur uterus. Just don't lift heavy things or do strenuous exercises. You can take walks. There are suggestions like, socks for a few days, pineapple core for 5 days, not bathing for a few days (but all of these are neither here nor there). Above all, please Pray!!! 4 Likes |

finecheek12: I have been a silent follower of this thread and I have learnt a lot, when mama ebony got her bfp I decided to cycle with grabbo and it was a pleasant experience , everything went smoothly and I got my bfp after 8 long years of waiting saw my baby with fotal pole at 6weeks but when I went for scan at 8wks the baby,s heart beat had stopped at 7weeks so it was termed a missed miscarriage with the cervix still closed and no bleeding. I am so devastated cos I was extremely careful and always resting. my question is what really caused this miscarriage? gynae says the baby will come out like my period naturally but it's been 5 days now and still not bleeding please mamas can anyone suggest how I can induce bleeding ?cos I still have all the pregnancy symptoms and a positive urine test. Hi dear. Am glad my post helped you and congrats on the bfp. So Sorry for ur loss though. I second everything @henmaris wrote. Ask the doctor to prescribe meds for u for inducing it. Its delaying cos it takes a while for ur hcg level to go down. God will surely restore double for ur troubles. Amen. |

aye88: Goodevening all. Please i need your help. This is actually my first time here. My sister leaves jn the UK and she has been trying to conceive for years now. We adviced her to come and try ivf here in nigeria. Its cheaper and unlike the Uk, most hospitals there wont be willing exceot there is a predominaye medical condition. We used google to get an hospital in lagos, but their charge for everything is about 2million naira. Please can i get suggestions on very good rated options with cheaper cost. Thanms as i await your response. You can check Kingswill as you just read a review from there above. |

OK thanks. Hoping for the best. Yesterday afternoon and early this morning, the cramps were horrible. I almost passed out, coupled with back pains that moves to different sides. Pls let doctor know of the pains. It may still be from ohss. |

Ebalu953: Today is 7days past my day 5 embryo transfer. Had very bad cramps after EC and for just 2 days past ET. From day 3 past ET, the lack of appetite, cramps & vomiting stopped. Right now I feel absolutely normal. Just slight cramps as if AF is coming then twinges on my right pelvic that moves to the left at times. Also my appetite has increased greatly. No sore boobs, nothing. Is it normal not to have symptoms during the 2ww? I am nervous. I am supposed to test in 7days. Someone talk to me!!!!!!! Thanks The earlier side effects must have been ohss. Well, it's normal not to have symptoms in 2ww so don't worry. Twinges and feeling like your period is coming may be a good sign. I had those too. |

henmaris: Hello Mamas, an update from my first ultrasound. 1 viable embryo seen but I have 2 concerns. First, I'm suppose to be 6weeks 2days but it measured 6 weeks 0days. Is this normal? Secondly, the heartrate wasnt measured because according to my dr is still very low/small. Isn't it suppose to be possible to measure the heartrate at 6 weeks? I'm going crazy here, experience mamas and those ahead of me, pls show ur face and respond to my worries. My Dd doesn't seem concerend, infact she said everything is fine at this stage but from what I'm reading from Dr google the heartrate is concerning. TIA
Congratulations on the viable embryo. There is nothing to be worried about. I measured 3 days behind at my 1st scan but at the 2nd scan it measured correctly. Also at my 1st scan which was 6 weeks 2 days, the doctor said it was too early to measure heartbeat. Just enjoy the pregnancy. If there is no heatbeat the baby won't be growing. 1 Like |

fruitfultwin: We went for the review for all the test we did and the doctor said dh has low sperm count so he will do picsi (to be able to pick the viable active sperm which will cost us extra N290,000) and I will do laser assisted hatching because I am more than 35years(because after age 35 the walls of the egg will thicken according to the doctor which will cost us N190,000 and we did not budget for this extra cost. We were weak because of this extra cost and have to shift the procedure till March in order to gather some money.
So the ivf we suppose to start this month Jan has been shifted till march for us to save for the extra cost. Truth be told I was so down throughout today and was telling dh that I am tired of this pregnancy issue but he encouraged me that I should trust God that anything can happen concerning the issue of money.
I was so eager to start the ivf because I believe that my first try will be a success but see what money has done to us.
Hi dear. So sorry for the bump on the road. Just know that everything is for your good at the long run. Its better to have delay than to rush it and fail and then having to look for another money for another procedure. I wish you all the very best in gathering money soon. |
