This will further anger the people and the govt will lose control, leading to self realisation by every region.

If govt knows what is good for this nation, they should better arrest this insecurity issue before it gets out of hand.... Oh I even forgot, all the govt cares about is their pocket, this is why state of emergency is declared in rivers state, but can't be declared in Plateau or Benue.

Yes it was........! I believe it was a Chinese restaurant.......to me, all restaurants were Chinese! The only restaurant I had ever seen was the Chinese restaurant at Federal Palace Hotel in Victoria Island. My parents always guided us carefully away from there. They pushed us along to the rooftop joint where the middle class gathered on weekends with their kids! I agree with you.......Onitsha has always been a trading hub and a traders' paradise, but I believe that Onitsha lost its way during the military era between 1985 and 1989, and even during the era of the clueless ex-governor from Uli.......I cannot even remember his name!
Onitsha has not always been so chaotic...yes, it was busy but not fantastically rowdy as it got in the recent past!

I daresay Onitsha had some level of class and pizazz in the late 70's and early 80'...........the first Chinese restaurant I ever visited was in onitsha circa 1981...........Even Nnewi had some cool spots in the 1970s.........I remember Sabina or is it sabeena hotel at umudim near Okonkwo Kano's home..............my parents used to take us there in the 1970s ...damn the place was awash with airconditioners......a rarity in homes then!
