American sorcery and juju at work again! Trump and America are not neutral in the Ukraine and Russia war.... in fact they instigated it and planned it ! While Trump pretends he wants peace, America continues to supply the most advanced armaments to Ukraine..........most people have little or no knowledge of what is at stake in this war.......

America will learn to respect Russia again, Russia will win the war and ultimately sack zelensky from power..........if Russia does not take down Ukraine ...America will never stop!

If supporting Labour party and Obi will land us projects,,,so be it! Obi1kenobi:
I don't understand many of you here. Nigeria is a unitary system of government. The Federal government holds most of the power and determines how resources are allocated. Except you have the resources of Lagos or Rivers state, it would be foolish for any state government to make itself an opposition government to the FG. Even in the US, a true federal system where most of the constitutional power and resources are controlled by the constituent states rather than the FG, state governments try to maintain good, cooperative relationships with the Presidency, so they can be favored in Federal projects and investments, disaster relief etc. Especially when you have a man like Trump in the White House who acts like a mafia boss, it's wise not to get on his bad side even as an opposition party governor. It's a very good thing for SE governors to look to build good, harmonious relationships with the Federal government. They can attract projects to benefit the state and tap into ecological funds for erosion control and flooding. That has nothing to do with "selling out" Peter Obi - a man that can't even bring the multiple factions of his Labour Party together. His ambitions cannot be conflated with the needs of Anambra taxpayers.

Ndigbo b'anyi are a very proud, very emotional people who seem determined to broadcast to the world how little we need anybody's alliance and help. Then spend a lot of time crying about how nobody is there to ally with us or help us. It's all very incoherent and symptomatic of belief systems and ideologies built entirely on resentment and hubris.
I agree 1000% ......I do not understand how and when Peter Obi's personal ambition became synonymous with the collective interests of ndigbo in general or anambra in particular! Peter Obi will, of course, make a good president, no doubt, but we must be very pragmatic about Igbo interests too! Personally,y I do not fancy Peter Obis lack of political stamina.........his lack of political astuteness does not seem to have diminished the love people have for him, but he really needs to be very careful and patient with his presidential ambition!

He was unable to lead APGA. Atiku played him in PDP......they have played him out in LP, now the Fulani are set to cage him in PDP again, what happens to his ambition when Tinubu releases Nnamdi Kanu? However, the most critical thing now is for Ndigbo to open their eyes and pressure the southeast governors to ensure that Igbo interests are paramount when the next election of 2027 comes around............ We will support the party that can point to the critical projects they have completed and delivered in Alaigbo! Eyes wey dey cry, dey see road! No emotions here o!

PoliticsRe: Why The South-east Is Nigeria’s Fastest Growing And Urbanising Region—and Why... by Eboofa: 6:55am On May 24, 2025
tonychristopher:
The South-East region of Nigeria, home to the Igbo ethnic group, is undergoing one of the most remarkable transformations in the country today. From the hills of Nsukka to the bustling streets of Aba, and even stretching beyond into Delta State, the region is witnessing rapid urbanisation, town-to-town connectivity, and the merging of cities into sprawling, functional conurbations. This unprecedented development is something the rest of Nigeria—especially the South-West—must emulate for balanced national progress.

---

Conurbation: Cities Merging into Mega-Urban Corridors

A defining characteristic of Igbo regional growth is the way multiple towns are organically growing into each other, forming vast urban corridors. A prime example is the Onitsha–Asaba–Igbuzor axis. Onitsha, already a commercial capital with one of Africa’s largest markets, is expanding westward across the Niger River into Asaba—the capital of Delta State. Asaba is rapidly urbanising and attracting both private estates and government institutions. From Asaba, the development continues northward into Igbuzor, a growing town that is benefiting from the economic spillover. In just a few years, this entire stretch is poised to become a single, uninterrupted urban region—one of the first truly cross-state mega cities in Nigeria.

Likewise, in Anambra State, towns like Onitsha, Nkpor, Ogidi, Obosi, Ogbunike, and Awka are forming a conurbation, supported by strong road networks and constant real estate development. In Abia, Aba continues to stretch toward Umuahia, while Owerri in Imo State expands outward to Mbaise, Ngor Okpala, and Orlu.

In Enugu, the capital is urbanising along a corridor that leads to Nsukka, and in Ebonyi, Abakaliki is fast becoming a commercial and administrative hub, drawing in nearby towns like Afikpo, Ishielu, and Onueke.

---

Why the South-East Is Growing So Fast

1. Entrepreneurship and Industry: Cities like Aba, Nnewi, and Onitsha are world-renowned for commerce and manufacturing. Aba is a hub for indigenous industries like footwear and clothing, while Nnewi leads in auto parts and light machinery.

2. Diaspora Investment: Igbo communities abroad are heavily involved in developing their home regions. Estates, schools, hotels, and hospitals in Awka, Enugu, and Asaba are often funded by investments from the diaspora.

3. Community-Driven Development: In towns like Orlu, Nsukka, and Ohafia, locals organise through town unions and development associations to construct roads, schools, and healthcare facilities—without waiting for the government.

4. Strong Educational Base: With institutions like UNN (Nsukka), UNIZIK (Awka), and FUTO (Owerri), the South-East has one of the highest literacy rates in Nigeria. This educated population fuels innovation and local capacity development.

5. Compact, Interconnected Settlements: The short distances between towns—often less than 30 minutes apart—make it easy to move goods, people, and services. This physical closeness is a natural enabler of urban fusion.

---

Why Other Regions—Especially the South-West—Must Catch Up

The South-West is known for mega cities like Lagos, but its development is largely concentrated and government-reliant. In contrast, the South-East thrives on decentralised, community-led, and diaspora-fueled urbanisation. Here's what the South-West can learn:

Decentralisation: Beyond Lagos and Ibadan, towns like Ogbomosho, Ifo, Owo, and Ado-Ekiti need focused development to distribute growth and reduce migration pressure.

Diaspora Engagement: The Igbo diaspora is more visibly active in building their homeland. Yoruba states can create frameworks to attract and utilise diaspora capital for local development.

Community Empowerment: The South-East's success lies in people-driven development. The South-West can revive community associations and give them a bigger role in development planning.

Intra-regional Integration: The example of Onitsha–Asaba–Igbuzor proves that even across state boundaries, cities can connect seamlessly. The South-West can mirror this by building urban corridors from Lagos to Abeokuta, Ibadan to Ilorin, and beyond.

---

Conclusion

From Onitsha to Awka, Owerri to Orlu, Nsukka to Enugu, and now Asaba to Igbuzor, the South-East is becoming one giant network of thriving urban centres. It is a powerful example of organic, people-driven development. While the federal government remains slow in many areas, the South-East is not waiting—it is building itself, one city and one investment at a time.

Nigeria’s future depends on balanced regional growth. The rest of the country, especially the South-West, must take a cue from the Igbo region’s unmatched pace of urban transformation and begin to replicate it with urgency and purpose.
This is a very apt and Valid observation, but your analysis is not really deep! Growth for growth's sake is not going to help anyone. We do not want the urban squalor associated with Lagos, Mumbai, or even Cairo!

You failed to project the rising youth population that comes with that growth! Do you know how many universities and higher institutions are based in the identified axis.............Agbor-Umunede-igbuzor-asaba-Onitsha/nnewi-Awka-oji-Enugu? The ongoing rehabilitation of Benin/ Asaba road, the construction of the bypass to the second Naija bridge, and the rehabilitation of the Onitsha /Enugu highway will merge these towns into one market! A rail line between Agbor and Enugu will finish work on that axis........It is left to the governors of Delta, Anambra, and Enugu to put on their thinking caps and cooperate regionally to champion the interest of that vibrant axis. Why not cooperate to build a rail line in conjunction with the federal government?

Using the price of 50cl Coke in Canada versus Nigerian which is about Four Hundred naira (N400), I am suspecting that the ingredients are different combination. It means the Coke sold in Nigeria malls and shop are adultereted or of less ingredients.

I have attached the receipt of the Coke for verification in case you doubt..
You no land your argument........you should have given the equivalent in naira of the canada coke! canada coke is about 4000 naira

Disregard the street vlogging...... but check out the town planning of Limassol, Cyprus! This is the minimum standard we ought to aim for in Anambra.................. It can be done, but everyone has to pull in the same direction! Soludo has tried but a lot of work still needs to be done; he has to inspire and persuade the investing anambra public to lend a hand too! Our people are way too aloof or is it alienated about government activities........we must begin to introduce a spirit of volunteering and social activism in our kids,,, from elementary school!

I do not see any reason why the Anambra State government will dualize roads in Onitsha GRA, provide walkways, provide solar streetlights, and residents do not contribute at least financing for the tree planting efforts or providing refuse trash cans/bins! Soludo has taken his town hall meetings to lagos, abuja and London ........but our people can be a bit docile until you learn to enforce your will! time no dey again!

A Nigerian lady who recently returned from the United States has shared five things she no longer needs to do herself since relocating to Lagos, Nigeria.

According to her, the first major change is that she no longer has to drive, as she now has a personal driver.

Secondly, she doesn’t cook anymore, thanks to the availability of organic food vendors and skilled cooks. She either orders food or hires someone to cook for her whenever she wants.

Thirdly, she revealed that she now has a personal assistant, so she no longer has to run errands on her own. Fourth, she no longer needs to clean, as she has hired a cleaner who comes in daily to handle all the cleaning.

Lastly, she said she doesn’t have to take down her braids or do her own hair anymore, as there are always people available to help her with haircare.

The viral video has sparked mixed reactions on platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and X (formerly Twitter). While some admire her lifestyle, others believe only the wealthy can enjoy such luxuries in Nigeria.

PoliticsRe: Nnamdi Kanu Must Not Go Unpunished - Says Concerned Citizen by Eboofa: 10:00pm On May 13, 2025
Mishaya:
Chinedu Ikenna from Abia state

As an Igbo man, I write this with a very heavy heart beginning by saying that the arrest and prosecution of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) is not a political vendetta but a matter of national security, justice and the preservation of law and order and most importantly the unity of our dear country Nigeria. I am saying this with all emphasis that Nigerians must not forget the trail of inflammatory rhetoric, incitement of violence, and outright terrorism that accompanied Kanu’s rise as a separatist agitator. His vile antecedents are not far-fetched, most are so fresh in our minds, and for those that may forget a few clicks on the internet will avail too many to count.

Some of Kanu’s public broadcasts, many of which are on record and admitted into evidence in court, constitute a direct incitement to arson, murder, and rebellion. For instance, Kanu explicitly called for the burning of the NITEL building and other Federal Government properties in Lagos, holding the city and the nation ransom for grievances he pinned on political figures such as Bola Ahmed Tinubu. In his words: “Every Federal Government property in Lagos must be burnt... Tinubu’s hotel must be burnt down.” These are not the words of a peaceful agitator, they are those of a man actively advocating for domestic terrorism.
