OVB123: So what is the problem? Because i know very well that ebonyi state according to many financial/economy reporters opined that the state is one of the poorest in southern part of nigeria. Now the governor is working on infrastructures, it will take time for the state or indigene of the state to begin to enjoy the benefit(s) of Gov. Umahi administration. i agree with you |

CyberWolf: Don’t mind them. They are so good in sharing their negative pessimistic analysis as of they’ve ever done anything for Ebonyi State. They are very surprised that a state like Ebonyi which they consider backward is developing very rapidly but whether they like it or not, we will continue moving forward and there is absolutely nothing they can do about it. as in ehnn. They used to cry that Ebonyi state is timid, under-developed and has poor people. Now Ebonyi is revamping infrastructure, they cry that it is not needed and waste of money. Jesus Christ ! Witch-craft are haters and they exist true true. These people just want Ebonyi to remain a backward state so they can keep using it to catch cruise, insult them and elevate their own false superiority complex about having airport, flyovers, stadium, etc. Low lives! |

Cognitivereason: Food basket or not... The only airports that export anything ranging from food items etc are the 5 international airports...as these are the only airports that allows international cargo flights...
So nothing will be exported from these airports... Sam mbakwe is a cargo airport at least by name...have u heard of any international cargo airline like DHL or FedEx planes landing there...
All the food items in ebonyi are transported and will always be transported by roads to other Nigerian states or cameroon.. farmers can't afford air travel not to talk of moving their products by air please carry your negative futuristic analysis and prediction to your state. We don’t do pessimism in Ebonyi state. And all your ramblings will never cease the timely completion of this airport. |

You seemed not to understand what he said, simply because you are not from South East. Ebonyi State has very poor indigen who are mainly farmers. Who will use the air port? Enugu has air port which is close to them. The money spent on the air port, could have been used to build industries like palm oil refinery, rice mill, cassava & yam floor... These are what the people of Ebonyi are into, even the rich ones are into agricultural production. Basically construction of air port should be among the last in scale of preference for Ebonyi. oga carry your hatred advise and go and give your state governor. |

Cognitivereason: U must be kidding about the bolded... There are lot of states airports dat are becoming a bane for FAAN to maintain because they aren't viable ..how has it brought investors to their state..
How is building an airport the same as creating an enabling environment.. Ogun state doesn't have an airport... Almost All it federal roads but it has better investment than any other western state excluding Lagos..
There are more job opportunities and industries in abia state despite lacking an airport and good roads
How has the airport in bayelsa and calabar attracted investor... U think if they want to come.. airport is what they will be looking at...pls let not deceive ourselves..
Yeah building an airport isn't bad...it has no economic promises for ebonyi..at least not in 2 or 3 decades..except incoming governors now focus on industrialization of course they’ll focus on industrialization |

Most of dem no motto is running on it but wen u look outside d flyovers u will see many mud houses everywhere He should atleast develop his people first b4 flyover dat u can easily count how many mottos that passed through the roads easily liar there is no mud house in Abakaliki capital |

Travel › Re: Ebonyi International Airport Runway In Progress by Ebubu: 9:35am On Apr 06, 2022 |
Cognitivereason: Let be honest once it is commissioned that airport cannot employ more than 150... Yes 150..from the uneducated security officers to the cleaners..etc..
Pls don't count the federal government workers that will be posted there..like ,police ,NDLEA , FAAN or the likes..they will just deploy their existing officers whom most likely might not be from ebonyi or be Igbo to the airport not employ new ones... The same thing most airline will do...
But when u talk of direct employment ..it won't employ more than 200... There will not be any significant indirect jobs created as well as the airport doesmt produce anything neither will it engage in cargo services
This is a project that will cost nothing less than N35bn to build...
If u put that money into building a massive industry...it will more than 600 workers...and indirect jobs will be created through the sales of the product
Innoson plants doesn't cost up to N30bn..but employs 2,000 plus direct workers...
By the way which business activity want to open around the airport meant for only passengers.. Go to Edo, calabar, delta, imo airports....which business activity opened there...or u want to include taxi drivers..how many taxi drivers want to be there...
Bayelsa airport opened a few years ago... That airport hasn't been regularly receiving local flights... I don't even think more than 2 airlines fly there because there is no market there...airpeace no longer fly there often... Ebonyi is a cargo and passenger airport. I’m sure you are aware Ebonyi is a food basket. |

Ground Control People Baggage Handlers Plane cleaners Food Providers Air Traffic Control Security Plane Fuel loaders Plane Carriers maintenance etc Without even talking about shops around the airport and development which it brings.
What’s next is for those youths to get a certificate course and when preparation jam opportunity = success. you are wise bro |
