The problem is with some professionals in the country, especially the pharmacist. you guys are not satisfied with your job description. I got information that you guys are being stirred against doctors by your lecturers. Just imagine how stupid it is for a pharmacy lecturer to be teaching "hatred for doctors" during their lecture hours. No na. It makes no sense at all.

If doctors don't encroach into your profession because they understand their job description and respect your roles in the hospital, why then do u guys want to do otherwise.

Pharmacy training is now shifting from Product oriented into Patient oriented.

Pharmacy students are now conducted on hours of ward rounds and all forms of drug therapy problems evaluated using the patients folder.

Pharmacy learning is now 6 years and more clinical focused and patient oriented.

Why are you averse to updates as they are in America ? All these things are for the betterment of the patient, when you have MD and PharmD going on rounds to evaluate your folder to ensure no mistakes. It's a win for the patient.

If you hate it, resign from your job. Patient must be protected at the detriment of your ego and pride. Patient first, not Doctor first.

Be realistic. Ebonyi is a very young State. Ebonyi, Enugu and Anambra were together as one State. During that period, development was focused more on Enugu as the state capital. This also explains why Enugu is more developed than Anambra despite the fact that Anambra has richer people. Enugu and Ebonyi were later carved out to coexist as one State and they remained together as such for some years before Ebonyi was carved out of Enugu.

Most poverty alleviation schemes by FG and CBN don't get to Ebonyi state. They just focus on Northern Nigeria as a poverty region.

Ebonyi Government have to cry out about this.

Let's even leave prices of cars and luxuries lets use regular daily needs of Nigerians.

And this is just 2019 if we go back to 2015 prices, you’ll see that the cost of basic food items has surged by nearly 2,000%.

Keep in mind, by 2015, the ₦18,000 minimum wage was already four years old, meaning inflation had long taken hold. So, if anything, I’m being generous to the government by using 2019 as a reference.

It is going to a year since we applied for the license and up till today, the licenses have not been released!

We were made to write a preregistration examination for Pharmacist (PEP) around October while the results came out in December. I had thought that successful candidates who passed the PEP would get their licenses as soon as we entered January but this is end of April yet they've not released the licenses.

I have gone there like five times but nothing to show for it. This is really annoying because I never expected to be subjected to this kind of delay after spending 6years in the university plus one year internship.

I heard that what they're now doing is taking bribes from desperate candidates to prepare their own licenses and you'll agree with me that under such atmosphere of bribery, it'll be difficult to process the licenses for those who haven't bribed them.

This is really an unfortunate situation because I never expected this level of decadence from the council that supposedly regulate MEN OF HONOR. The licenses are very important because one can't get any meaningful job as a pharmacist without it.

I had thought about taking the matter to twitter for better engagement but let me just post it here for now with the hope that they'll do the needful. If they fail to do that, I'll be forced to go viral on Twitter about this matter. Some of you may not understand how painful it is to go through the stress of pharmacy school only to come out and face extra unnecessary delays in getting your license. Why must everything in Nigeria be stressful Even after one has fulfilled all one's lawful requirements?
