The best bet for Kanu getting relessed is only through a pardon from a southern President. The case against Kanu is water proof and that's why he and his defense team are stalling the trial with all manner of theatrics .


Only Timubu can release Kanu and that will be after he secured a second term and this will only happen after Kanu stops stalling his trial and get his conviction in place for a pardon can only be granted to those who have been convicted.

The National Chairman of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Sly Ezeokenwa, has said that the appointment of Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu as the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is a plus for the party.

Ezeokenwa stated this during an interview on Channels TV’s Politics Today on Wednesday.

He said that one of the plans of the party is to run an inclusive government when it gains power.

But Ezeokenwa said that there is no APC in Anambra State, saying plans are in the pipeline to increase APGA’s reach.

He said, “APGA performed better in the 2023 election than the results released or declared by INEC. You can’t take away the very distinguished place Ojukwu occupied in APGA. That is why till today I venerate him. The fact is that you can’t take away what he did for the party in the past. If you want to appeal to the sentiment of other sections in the country, you have to build the party as a party.

“I commend him on that appointment. Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu is a member of APGA. She is a BoT member of the party. She has that appointment as the member of the party. We gave her a go ahead.

“After the president was elected, the first call I made to him was that now you won the election and the Supreme Court has affirmed your election as the president of Nigeria; it’s now time to close ranks. The people that can help you solve the problems in the country may not be domiciled within your party. You have technocrats in other political parties.

“My preoccupation as a leader of a political party is to make sure Tinubu succeeds. The interest of Nigerians is paramount. It’s not about which political party you belong to. Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu’s appointment is a plus for our party because our party wants to play an inclusive government, where you have technocrats willing to contribute to the development of the country.”

Again there can't be a localized inflation, Enugu state is an open geographical area with free entry and exit.

The only thing I hate about the budget is the intended borrowing of about 200b.
He should have just budgeted 700b to avoid borrowing which I believe would be enough to make significant change in Enugu state within the year , Soludo budgeted 670b without any plan of borrowing and I believe he will do well with it if well implemented

But the initiative appears to be faltering. Major players like Dangote Oil Refinery are receiving only a fraction of what it was promised.
According to Edwin Devakumar, the Dangote refinery's executive director, NNPC committed to delivering 385,000 barrels per day (bpd) to the 650,000-bpd facility but has failed to meet even this reduced quota. Describing deliveries as “peanuts,” Devakumar highlighted the challenges of relying on inconsistent domestic supply chains. Meanwhile, other refineries under the Crude Oil Refinery-owners Association of Nigeria (CORAN) report being entirely excluded from the naira-based crude program, citing ongoing negotiations with the government for resolution.

This supply crunch has forced Dangote to turn to international markets, recently purchasing 2 million barrels of U.S. WTI Midland crude. This may highlight the refinery’s global competitiveness, but it also exposes the inadequacy of Nigeria’s domestic crude allocation system.

NNPC has faced criticism for its inability to tackle a long history of chronic oil theft and pipeline vandalism. It now faces new criticism—for failing to prioritize local refining needs. Efforts to enforce domestic supply rules through the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission have so far proven ineffective.

As Nigeria’s largest refinery edges toward its year-end goal of 85% operational capacity, its struggles are emblematic of broader systemic issues in the country’s energy sector. Without reliable crude supply, the vision of a self-sufficient refining industry—anchored by the Dangote refinery—risks being another unrealized ambition in Nigeria’s complex oil landscape.
