I must commend both christians and muslims on this issue. |
SmartTalk: Ah, this good old chestnut. Well, it would be nice to know what oppression the Eastern minorities suffered considering that Adaka Boro himself - along with other Eastern minorities, which include Ken Saro-wiwa - got a scholarship from the Eastern government and was voted as student union leader by the" Igbo majority" in his university, a status Saro-wiwa complained he was deprived of in the University of Ibadan. I would really love to know what exactly this "oppression" entails. Besides, anyone who knows history knows that Adaka's action was a Potemkin political move planned earlier with his Northern partners who he saw as "the only ally of the Ijaw" and his dream of having a Niger Delta "strictly for the Ijaws" was a Hitleresque idea. It would be interesting to hear the opinion of other Niger Deltans in the light of the recent news of Ijaw militants claiming responsibility for the killing of Itsekiri citizens. you made a perfect point brother. You are truly an Igbo son! SMART. |
^^^I think you were a bit silly if you didn't know the controversy that map would cause; giving room for ignorant peeps like the ebucha dude to spew crap about how the Niger-Delta were 'oppressed' by the Igbos pre-1966, and how Adaka Boro declared Niger-Delta republic to free them from the 'evil clutches' of Igbos, and how the Niger-Deltans are being treated much better by comparison in 'Nigeria'. Anyone seeing that map you uploaded would naturally assume that any new Biafra would include the whole Niger-Delta, which isn't the case. PS- just noticed the link he posted to help buttress his point on divisions in the old Eastern Region; Gamji.com......says it all really!
Unfortunately u can't make a point. As usual, you are back again today to insult people. |
SmartTalk: There is nothing unfortunate about that. Trust me, we don't want all parts of the Niger Delta in the Biafran federation. Check the concern about allowing any part of the Niger Delta here www.nairaland.com/1331718/preparing-east-post-nigeria-future and the condition under which any territory shall be admitted to the Biafran union here www.nairaland.com/1340291/preparing-east-post-nigeria-future. Adaka Boro declared the Niger-Delta Republic in 1966 even before the civil war in 1967 due to oppression from the then South-East regional government. http://www.gamji.com/article4000/NEWS4657.htm |
sakaguchi: And the OP is a clown, who said that the divided map is going to be like that? You must be dreaming.Unfortunately, Niger-Deltans don't like that map, cos they can't imaging themselves as Biafrans. Adaka Boro declared the Niger-Delta Republic in 1966 even before Biafran war came up in 1967 due to oppression from the then South-East regional government. http://www.gamji.com/article4000/NEWS4657.htm |

When ever the issue of Nigeria splitting comes up, our South-East brothers are always in a hurry to include the South-South in Biafra. But what beats me is the fact that virtually all the people I have Seen from the South-South abhor the Biafra thing. |
What if the person is a hard working business tycoon like Dangote or Adenuga and not a Poli-thief-cian like you? |

Borno ANPP chairman escapes death as ‘Civilian JTF’ burns down his house By Maina Maina on July 1, 2013 Tweet Pin It The Borno state Chairman of the All Nigeria Peoples Party, Alhaji Mala Othman narrowly escaped death, when Volunteer Youth group, popularly known as Civilian JTF stormed his New GRA residence in Maiduguri on Monday and raised it down, alleging that he is one of the sponsors of Boko Haram militants. DailyPost in Maiduguri, the Borno state capital has gathered that as early as 10:30 am, the youth in their hundreds stormed the politician’s house, demanding for his arrest and burnt down his building, chanting Sai mun Kawo Karshensu, meaning (we must bring to an end their activities). The youth blocked the entire major streets leading to his house to avoid harming innocent people passing through the area. Efforts by the youth to track down the politician proved abortive, as he was later sneaked out of the house by security operatives. On realizing that the ANPP chairman has been smuggled out, the youth set his house ablaze and proceeded to the house of his boss, the former Governor, Ali Modu Sheriff, chanting “Saura Mai Gidan shi” meaning ( His boss’ house is the next), but they were prevented by the security men who manned the gate. The security men also shot sporadically into the air to disperse the rampaging youth. It would be recalled that the youth have been hunting for the ANPP chairman, Alhaji Mala Othman, alleging that both the Chairman and his boss were responsible for the ongoing crisis in the state. http://dailypost.com.ng/2013/07/01/borno-anpp-chairman-escapes-death-as-civilian-jtf-burns-down-his-house/?utm_source=&utm_medium=facebook&utm_campaign=borno-anpp-chairman-escapes-death-as-civilian-jtf-burns-down-his-house |
