It is not that easy...... And nobody can be right all the times. There are times we will exit/enter too early and at other time we will exit/enter late
You loose some and you win some.... The koko is to have more wins ....
that's true, noted but seeing a red portfolio takes a lot of determination not to press that sell button.

Today's dumping is much. End of it is not far.
I will still suggest that people, especially newbies should not panic sell at loss.
We've been here before. It wouldnt continue like that.
What of selling and then buying back when it drops even further

Stick to your strategy. You can never be wrong at the end of the day.
Some of us are not like my deep pocket bosses. grin
Only one of them can make or mar a stock. They can single handedly handle up and down of a stock price. grin
Prof can bear me witness. lipsrsealed
Lol as i'm learning the ropes i'm just concentrating on the stock so any movement i can easily sense the change in my portfolio without even checking.

The managements in NB, Guiness and IB have been trying hard to lobby the government on waivers on critical input materials so as to reduce overhead cost...... @ first I thought it was political vendetta on Peter obi as he is the spear head of international Brewery......., but on second thought the government has set it eyes else where and are trying to build another economic power house for this current set of the ruling class(APC).......Champion breweries no follow jor even for jijo.....The guy had better watch for vita foam and enters when it goes low this year
Exactly Bismarck Rewane on the board of Guinness and also part of PMB’s Economic council has also tried to lobby to reduce the excise duty so as costs to be reduced also but it doesn’t seem to be forthcoming.

EXACTLY.

For the NEWBIES that don't know how this stuffs works.close your ears to war mongers and monitor your portfolio meticulously from November till April those 6months are the PEAK PERIOD.

EXIT the market in the month of MAY for the so called LONG TERMERS and enjoy your LOOTS in peace.

Even during the dreaded stock GLOBAL MELTDOWN in 2008.I was in Singapore the ASI peaked in March at 66000bpt before it started declining in the month of APRIL after released of 2007 F/Y and 2008 Q1 results by SEPTEMBER it become GLARING there was serious fire on the mountain..

Due to this strategy some of us weren't affected much by the 2008 stock meltdown though I later paid heavy dues with BankPHB in 2011 and OANDO in 2014.

That's why we always preach SELL in MAY and GO AWAY then come back in NOVEMBER to repeat the circle again and again

*ThE OcToPuS*
Please let me understand something, you say we should sell by may so how would dividend hunters like us now chop dividend if we sell before the declaration date

You will only receive for the 100units you left unsold.
Oh no I mean after the qualification date but before the payment date.

@mcy56 I’m a newbie here, please about your dividend post I have a question. If dividends are declared and I have holding in stock say Zenith bank how do I reclaim the dividend immediately if let’s say I want to sell after some time, the issue of dividends is a bit confusing for me. Thanks for your help in educating us that want to learn.
