kokoA: The both parties are going about it the wrong way. FG cannot force these guys back to work. ASUU is used to threats right from the military era so GEJ is child's play for them. Government should just ensure that they keep to their own side of the bargain, this will make ASUU loose sympathy and they will have no choice but to go back to work. Besides, this year is gone already, no meaningful academic work can be done before the festive periods. Both parties should use the remaining part of the year to resolve this nonsense.

Jman06: UNIJOS still stands tall among Universities in Nigeria and even the President himself recognized that during my convocation in 2012.Go and check Nigerian university ranking.So if great Unijos continues the strike,it will definitely draw alot of uproar from both Nigeria and abroad,though i plead with my erudite Lecturers to reconsider their stands and call off the strike for the sake of fellow Josites who have been at home since the strike began.GREAT JOSITES!

Sincere 9gerian: How are we sure that these mostly greedy, selfish, corrupt and wicked ASUU leaders conveyed exactly what the president offered in the 13 hours meeting to their state/zonal members? How are we sure they did not dilute the proposal or build in their own self-serving agenda?

If they dont accept the proposal, the president should sack all of them and rebuild the universities with lecturers that will be employed under new terms.
