MrSuama:

Candidate, below is the standard sequence for some years,

Documentation
On arriving the venue of the interview, some Officers are stationed to do documentation for each state and you will be giving a tag number( a blue apron with your state code and number). For example, your name on the list might be 1st but you were the 15th to arrive interview venue and you are from Kaduna, after documentation, you would be given a tag number randomly, say KD56. It is with this KD56 that you would be referred to any time your attention is needed. Documentaion usually happens on the first and second day of screening.
Credentials Vetting
The screening and vetting of credentials begins on the second day for those who arrived early on the first day. This is where the Officer vetting your credentials would check age disparity on your certificates, forged documents, fake certificates and so on, this takes another 2days or so.
First Moment of Truth
After the completion of the credential screening, the Selection Board sits and candidates with discrepancies beyond army's reasoning are called out with their state codes, marched to the their tenth or hostel, where they pack their belongings, then they are escorted with tight security out of the screening venue like thieves who have come to still the mandates of their village men.
Medical Examination
If you successfully scale the credential screening, the next hurdle is the almighty medical examination. Here the army have the ability to see ailments that are hereditary in your family. They also have the ability to see ailments that no other hospitals can see. Infact, they have the ability to see your potential to develop some ailments. Candidate, army can say you are positive to an ailment and immidiately you are sent home, you decide to go to Natioanl Hospital Abuja to recheck yourself only to find out you are negative to that ailment.(Children of serving and retired Generals sometimes find themselves in this shoes)
Candidate only the will of God can make you scale Medical Examination. Below are some of the things you would be checked on
a. Bp
b. Eye sight (short and long sight)
c. Flat foot
d. Number of testicles( you would be unclad infront of the doctor female or male as the case may be and you would show her how many testicles you gat)
e. Pile: while unclad, the doctor would ask you to cough strongly like 2 to 3 times, then you would be asked to turn your back. After that the doctor would ask you to bend down to touch your toes, so that your anus can be examined for the presence of pile.
f. Urine: Urine samples are also collected to test for some ailments am not sure of.
g. Blood samples are also collected to test for HIV and a host of other ailments am not sure of
h. Height is also measured to ascertain you are within the range
i. Teeth check
j. Hernia check
k. Tatoo check
l. ECG
m. Chest X-ray
o. Fasting sugar (diabetes)
And a host of others i can seem to remember. The medicals lasts for like 5 to 6 days.
Second Moment of Truth
After the medicals have been concluded for all states, the Selection Board converges again and the candidates unfortunate to have been detected to have one ailment or the other are called out. Usually, the calling is alphabethically. so you here, candidates if you here your number fall out. The tension in the atmosphere at this period is unexplainable. Who no go, no go know.
The affected candidates are marched to their tenths to take their belongings and excorted to the gate of the venue under tight security.
3.2 Km race
After the medicals, candidates are made to run the 3.2 km race under 15 minutes. After the race, candidates are grouped in cages basesd on how they arrived. in time past, the race was also used to disqualify candidates but things have changed. It seems candidates are no more disqualified based on their inability to comlete the race within 15 minutes.
If the army decides to use the race as a disqualifying round, the ladies are allowed to start the race 3 minutes earlier than the males and when the 15minutes elapses, the gate of heaven is closed. Anybody outside the gate of heaven is marched to his hostel under tight security to pack his belongings, then excorted out of the training venue.

I think this is the farthest i have been lucky to reach in all the screenings i have attended.
I also skipped the Pschology test that comes during the medicals or after medicals where you would be asked questions that if you lie at the begining you must lie to the end.

Note: every screening comes with its own modifications. Other officers are free to make corrections and additions to this piece.
And I wish every applicant who made the list the very best.
This here is a vivid and very clear description of what you will face at the screening exercise.
After the running, push up, sit up and beam heaving.... please manage and do the best you can, push your body o, Then if you ain't lucky you will write exams that same day, small Maths, English and general knowledge, then you will write the normal Normal essay writing on why you want to join the Nigerian Army or how relevant your course of study is to the Nigerian Army.
After the exams gear up to face the board, its done state by state. And you will face at least 10 to 15 officers at least and someone from your speciality will ask you questions , then anybody from the board members can also ask any current affair or general knowledge questions. Then start praying because it doesn't end there.....

I also faced board at falgore course 26 (CANVELED). Actually the idea is to look smart when facing board. Soldiers and officers were like "are you going to face senior men like that? My friend go and shave, bring out your reserve white shirt and if you don't have, make sure you wash the one you're wearing before your state turn"

Some candidates were wearing jersey green short for the exercise but once you're to face board. They will caution you to change in other to increase your chance of selection.
oooh falgore o....we suffered sha.....we thank God for grace....26pro max.....na we o

Officer, I faced the board during course 26 at falgore, made the final list, though I was placed on reserve. The first reserve from my village.

Some of us who faced the board didn't wear white canvas, in fact the first 2 names on the final list for training from my village didn't use white canvas when we faced the board.

But I advice people to get white canvas, though it's not a must you wear white canvas. If it was, the Army will state very clearly.

My father's army no dey joke with instructions, if dey want specific thing dem go talk am. #Shalom

The canvas required to face the board mustn't be a white canvas, but it shouldn't be black or red. Just get a moderate canvas, and the color shouldn't be too shouty, and you're good to go.

My own question is about the clause in the application instructions that states that applicants must submit a letter of Attestation from their former institutions....what institution are they referring to please? is it the university attended or the institution we currently work for or any institution we have previous affiliations with such as secondary/primary schools attended....or could it be a religious institution?
Please someone with an idea should kindly clarify. thanks.
its not necessary, nobody will ask for it, don't stress yourself except you are using a statement of result and not original certificate then get one from your university

NIGERIAN ARMY DID NOT ISSUE ANY STATEMENT ON SSC/DSSC SCREENING

The attention of the Nigerian Army has been drawn to fake information being circulated in the social media by mischief makers claiming that the just concluded SSC/DSSC screening has been scrapped because of the “change in administration of the Nigerian Army”.

The fake report also stated that SSC course 47 and DSSC Course 26 registration will begin from 1st of September 2021 till 1st of October 2021 and that all applicants that registered for SSC 47 and DSSC 26 are advised to register again.

The Nigerian Army wishes to inform the general public that it does not charge any fees for online registration and other related matters and advice people to be wary of activities of scammers. The Army states that the above information is totally false as the statement did not emanate from the office of the Military Secretary nor any department of the Army.

The general public is hereby advised to discountenance the report as it is a handiwork of jobless mischief makers.

Thanks I'm humbled by this piece.
It's like the army deliberately bundled their regular customers this year to the screening "maybe them don see our name tire for their application portal and they had no other option than to give us a chance".
I noticed many of the peeps shortlisted this time here are veteran applicants, I was overjoyed when I saw your name and those of others but to respect the sensibility of those here that didn't see their names I had comport myself as it was the grace of God that we saw our names for screening and not necessarily by our intellect.
The victory will be sweeter when all of us resume cadet training same time as coursemates, and Commissioned into the army, the years the cankerworms have being eating our application and the determination to succeed will be a source of inspiration to others not to give up on their dreams no matter the odds. God that have started this will see us through.
Special thanks to @eclipsehemmy, prospect, damibjs etal Can't wait for the day of Glory to come.
Though the Chariots be gathered for war, Victory is from God Alone.
brothers God's time is the best, this is God's time for us. We have been patient, Falgore must obey. The Lord who started this good work in our lives will bring it to a perfect conclusion. Plenty more testimonies to follow.... We are ready. On God always . We full ground. Hailing to them men

I don't know why but I'm having second thought about going for the screening even after almost signing all signable
one reason is, only like 7 would be chosen out of 31 shortlisted in my state, meaning my chances is very slim
two, I don't know what to expect in the screening.. I heard we will run 3km in 20 minutes and I'm not sure if someone couldn't complete it does that mean the person would be disqualified and won't be able to proceed from there? o
three, board interview which is like the most important part of it all.. I don't know what it is or the kind of questions I could be asked
four, I no get anybody wey fit influence anything for me

so before I waste over 30k traveling and endangering my life traveling over 15 hours going to the north maybe I should kuku stay behind and move on... though I've already taken permission from work for the two weeks I would be away
the truth is if you did not want to go you wouldn't post it here. You are only using reverse psychology on us..... Na clout you dey chase..... Funny how alot of people are looking for this opportunity you are gladly typing this rubbish with.... Abeg swerve

The fact is - It is wrong to leak sensitive security documents online. I find it stupid and foolish and anybody engaging in such is a dolt.

No professional Army in the world would entertain such intelligence leak. So as not to be predictable, the NA would release the least when we least expect it

That's my point
. """""Bro, I am sure the brazen release of sensitive signal documents here made the NA delay the screening before thr COVID crisis."""""" This is actually an assumption but you are saying """I am sure"""" which is certainty....... So therefore assumption with certainty aswell......
