“terrorism has no religion”
I am a Muslim and I am not a Terrorist. You muslims always look for the slimmest excuses to exonorate your violent religion from the barbarism commited by its true adherents. Is "jihadi" a Christian word? Does being called John disqualify one from pursueing your islamic ideology? There's quite a number of Christians answering Ibrahim. |

OrlandoOwoh: Those who lived in Edo State, Benin City in particular, during the time of Lucky Igbinedion would tell you how the Governor hinged the failure of urban renewal of the city on it being an ancient town. But when Oshiomhole came, he changed Benin City. Ring Road is a site to behold. God bless you my brother. Our people, especially the gullible youths, have very short memory.

biafranqueen: The World Bank loaned Edo people through Oshimole US$225 million for "The First Edo State Growth and Employment Support Credit Program"
http://www.worldbank.org/projects/P123353/nigeria-edo-state-first-development-policy-operation?lang=en
But Edo's people are still suffering the World Bank reported that they did not meet the goals that were outlined in 2011 and in fact were given an extension to try an get some progress but still this thief did nothing!
That money was for flooding That money was for the youth to stop human trafficking That money was not for him to get married and globe trot around with Buhari.
Edo people now you know why we are shouting for Biafra. After Oshimole another one will come like him. What do you know about World Bank conditions for infrastructural credit, and meeting stated goals? You claimed EDO state did not meet the goal, yet it was qualified for a second instalment of WB loan which was approved by the Nigerian senate earlier this year (which was actually based on the condition of fulfilling the goals of the first instalment) - the only state aside Lagos which met such standards of financial prudence and accountability. Do you think the World Bank is run by idïots like GEJ and Ochendo your only role models and "shining lights" of biafraudland? Just how many Biafra villages are missing their idïots? I have lost count! Your rants lack substance. Hence will not be taken seriously. |

well, Nigeria IS a rich country. Are you a Nigerian? You mean you've not heard of presidents, governors, et al celebrating their anniversaries in office? What actually is the essence of the so-called democracy day? This one was even the most modest of them all. |

itstpia8: here is the original post:
I also saw a picture of them cutting a cake.
Are you saying what I am seeing in broad daylight plus the accompanying reason and explanation given, is misinformation? There's nothing extraordinary about cutting a cake to celebrate an event. Though what we witnessed yesterday was a very important occasion in the life of EDO state. We cut cakes almost everyday. It was a celebration of seven years of unprecedented infrastructural development in the state. itstpia8: btw, where is the young monarch (20 or so years old) who met with Buhari some months ago? From Oshiomole's area perhaps, I dont see him in the photos. That was just a few pics from the events. They were all there. Programme was aired live on nta & Ait. |

itstpia8: seriously, I have never heard of governors celebrating anniversaries in this manner (not that I remember). Edos are just on an entirely different level in Nigeria. am I missing something? What manner do you mean exactly? It was a town hall meeting organised to render accounts of his stewardship. Not a carnival. The royal fathers saw it as opportunity to show him a conspicuous and unambiguous support and appreciation. It was meant to shame the misinformation of the PDP propaganda machines and desperadoes in the state. Hope you're not getting it wrong |
