Politics › Re: Why Can't Federal Government Give Job Seeker Allowance To Unemployed Graduate. by EdCure: 2:39pm On Oct 18, 2015 |
Nicolars: I guess pple won't want to work anymore and it would lead to laziness That is not true. Such policy will create more value for labour; reduce the exploitation of workers by employers and increase the bargaining power/cost/wages of workers. Can you imagine a university graduate accepting a job of 10000 Naira because he is left with no choice? How much can he save from such amount to start a new business? And for a guy that stays alone, how can s/he pay rents and feed from it? Don't forget, feeding and rents is just about 58% of what people at that socio-economic level spend their income on. Can the entire salary be enough for him to travel to another city for an interview? You know one problem with ridiculously low-paying jobs is that you get trapped with no time or savings for exploring other opportunities. If the graduate has some form of lifeline, he can take his time to build his dream gradually and make meaningful contribution to the nation's economy. The reasons why Nigerian graduates don't make inventions and other scientific breakthroughs is attributable to the fact that most of us just look for ways to survive and pay bills. Most resort to low-paying teaching jobs in exploitative private schools. |

I thought this idiotic op will present his argument (which actually is a confusion) with a historical perspective like the other thread that he's trying to counter.
Ibos truly have no sense, knowledge or understanding of history. Just emotional quibbles, lies and sorts of tell-tales to make them feel good. |

dammytosh: Bunch of eediots and sore losers. The same threat when Henry Okah was arrested. The same noise Asari Dokubo made about the election if GEJ lost. Henry Okah has spent 5 years in jail while GEJ lost the election. Guess what? NOTHING HAPPENED. Try the Baga. If found wanting , JAIL HIM. We know their next threat : "WE DID NOT SAY YOU CAN NOT JAIL HIM BUT HE MUST NOT DIE IN JAIL !" Then when he eventually dies, they'll say; "We did not say he must not die in jail, but he must be given a state funeral" Clowns |

kingslly: North no wan go school nah Why would they? Nothing has happened to make the north realize how much they have lagged behind educationally, or the effect of their self-imposed backwardness. They still get the best and largest chunk of government jobs. Also, they got some moslem friends (mostly subordinates) in the south who are always ready to write long essays and postulate theories (for free) to defend them where the need arises. You can now understand the cause of abboki complacency. |

byrron: How did it affect their fortune? when was the last time that same team won a game?
Pls, lets be objective and drop all these sentimental ways of viewing issues. so without Enyeama as the captain, the Eagles cant win again? The Eagles have not been wining matches due to poor team management and equally poor decisions like this. The buck stops with the coach, not the players. A team can only win when it is well managed. |
Sports › Re: Enyeama Returns To Eagles Belgium Camp by EdCure: 3:32pm On Oct 10, 2015 |

byrron: But the players are at liberty to continue with their various forms of insubordination like publicly challenging the decisions of the coach right?
I hate to speak about individuals. Players don’t win you trophies, teams win trophies, squads win trophies.” Jose Mourinho No one is supporting insubordination here. But the way a coach handles any percieved insubordination is very crucial for the team. |
