I appreciate what you guys are doing on this thread. The information you guys are dishing out is priceless.I have a very close friend that I am trying to help advance his career. He graduated with a 3rd class in Elect/Elect and will like to work in the oil and gas servicing sector. What advice can you guys give regarding graduate programs? Personally, from the information I have gathered here regarding folks getting entry level positions with just Nigerian BSc, my advice to to him is to use a dragnet approach by aggressively sending his CV to numerous oil and gas sector firms, prayers and preparing very well for interviews when called. Do you guys think with luck this might work? He also has eyes in the shipping industry. Is there a list somewhere of shipping companies in Nigeria and MNOCs? If you guys know please you can reply with the link(s). Another help you guys can render that will be appreciated is a copy of CV that has worked in helping get one a job in the oil and gas sector. Of course private details and information that might disclose anonymity can be blacked out. Once again I appreciate what you guys are doing here and I am looking forward to responses.

Wit these kind of talent available in Nigeria, we should have left this stone age. Kudos. I only encourage you to go higher and take control of the emerging IT markets in Nigeria.

Got a neighbor who is a fellow with NABOSH and a reliable source. Told me yesterday that their certifications pays off on the long run. Usually boost ones chances of securing a good place in the Oil and gas industry.

Can u ask ur friend how long the course takes, hw much it costs, is it done in Nigeria or does it have an equivalent? Basically, any and every info would be useful to me and the house, i m sure.

Jst dis mornin, afta tryin all d UBA ATMs in town, decided 2 use Diamondbank atm. Requested for cash and afta waiting 4 a while, SESSION CANCELLED. Card came out. No money. Had 2 slot in card again. Dis time, it worked. Was almost home when I receivd 2 SMS telling me i withdrew cash twice. U-turn back 2 d bank. Almost reached d bank wen i receivd anoda txt dat d 1st transaction was cancelled and my money was restored. Saved me a headache. Last time, took dem almost a week to refund my N20k.
