BusinessRe: Preventing The ATM From ‘swallowing’ Your Card by EdDave(m): 8:24pm On Sep 30, 2016
That is how I inserted my GTbank card into Heritage ATM in Trademore estate in Lugbe.
Next thing I saw was "Power low. This Machine is shutting down".
PHCN had gone off and the power backup was depleted.

And I had nothing on me.
No tp, no gas money, no food, no ATM card.
On a goddamn Friday. cry
PetsRe: Dog Photos by EdDave(m): 7:50pm On Sep 28, 2016
I love dogs. They are easy to read.
Whether playful, tired, sad, happy, puzzled, expectant. Bla bla.
And loyal to their calling. cheesy

Cats always look suspicious to me.

"Like I know what you did. And I ll change into a witch and kill you in your sleep".
Cats always leave you, eventually.
Those bit..ches ain't loyal.

billyG:
which gej policy?u mean gej cassava bread policy or abundant rice policy or GM?wher is d cassava bread & d rice?
Don't just jump on a thread and start talking.
Is it the minister(s) fault that GEJ didn't fully implement the laid down plans, many of which PMB is riding on now?
Give kudos where it is due.
PoliticsRe: Buhari Receives Akinwunmi Adesina, President Of African Development Bank by EdDave(m): 10:03pm On Sep 26, 2016
Dr Akinwunmi Adesina
The only minister who could be described as a square peg in a square hole in GEJs administration. A man so good at his job he was offered the top position in African Development Bank.
His agricultural ideas are the policies GEJ started and are being enforced by PMB.
Kudos to you, sir. smiley
RomanceRe: Man Asks Ex-Fiancee’s Family To Pay Back All The Money He Spent On Her by EdDave(m): 2:41pm On Sep 25, 2016
In some cultures, the lady's family is actually expected to refund the dowry and the other things on the list, if the marriage doesn't hold especially if the cancellation comes from the lady s side.
But this guy....

RomanceRe: RAPE??? ..... Its Not Possible If U Ask Me..get In Here Galz by EdDave(m): 7:09am On Sep 25, 2016
Fear is what usually make ladies give in.
The fear of being manhandled or even killed.
It is very difficult for a single man to pry open the legs of an UNWILLING female participant without violence or threat to life.
I have heard so many attempted rape stories from ladies who had to fight off rapists for hours on end and very nearly gave in cause they got tired of fighting. It s usually with close male friends, bfs, cousins, neighbour s etc who has free to their rooms.
Ladies really need to avoid putting themselves in such precarious situations.

I really don't get how someone enjoys forceful sex. Infact, I love it when she makes the first moves.
Shit turns me on like dang! cool.

A finance minister should
1. be well grounded in her field.
2. Have international exposure/connections.
3. willingness to help the country and not just pay lip service.
4. finally and most importantly, a listening Boss.

NOI may have the upper hand as regards Kemi Adeosun but they both have bosses who dont/didnt listen to them. so what do you wantt them to do? It's not like a finance minister can just whip up a robust GDP out of thin air. they are only there to offer financial advice.
NOI s case became a case of "If you cant beat them, join them".

So stop shouting sack this or sack that.

The president makes the final decisions.

Why did she allow him back into her life in the first place? Men like these don't change. He left you when times were hard and he s coming back now that you are probably doing better than him. Cause he thinks he owns you?
If the ladies in question stamp their feet and refuse abusive men back into their lives and allow social welfare handle the matter of the husband s kids responsibilities, would we hear stuff like these?
If you were seperated or divirced , you are free to date/re-marry.
Now she s battered and broken and the stupid boy is free.
I will always blame women for remaining in abusive relationships.
Ignorance is a biaach. angry
FamilyRe: My Wife Doesn't Work Yet Dinner Is Never Ready Before 9pm by EdDave(m): 1:20am On Sep 19, 2016
I laff at folks who take these kinda threads seriously. Coined up stories just to generate traffic.
Anyways, these are things you watch out for while dating. I have left girls for far less and by the time they come back begging, I have moved on. Why should I eat breakfast at 11am or dinner at 10pm when as a bachelor, I prep my meals as earlier as 7, latest 8am. My current gf wakes up at same time I do, 5am. And while she s cooking we are chatting. I can start my cooking and finish by 7:30 since I m alone.
I seriously don't understand how men marry or even date girls who can't do anything on time talkless of do anything at all. Our mamas taught us the old school way.
All those people saying talk to her, if she aint got it, she ain't got it. Marry her/him at ur own peril.
Christianity EtcRe: Why It's Important To Pray Without Ceasing Even When It Seems Hard To Pray by EdDave(m): 10:25pm On Sep 18, 2016
No matter what religion you follow, there is always a clause which states that the best war is the one never fought.
And you guys spend time arguing with people who have neither a religion, creed nor anything else(for that matter) to believe and reason with for that matter.

TravelRe: Foreign Flights To Nigeria Forced To Refuel Elsewhere - YahooNews by EdDave(m): 1:02pm On Sep 13, 2016
obailala:
Every single problem from shipping companies pulling out to airlines being unable to buy fuel and therefore relocating, to industries closing down etc have all been linked to just one problem, lack of forex. That is what happens when a nation relies on only one unstable commodity for its entire income. The vulnerability of the so called 'giant of africa' has simply been exposed with the drop in oil prices. Maybe we would learn a lesson or two from this as a nation going forward. Any person who really thinks there is a quick fix to this problem, probably a magic spell that would conjure forex from wonderland, such a person must be a dreamer.
Nobody said it d be a quick fix. But when you have a leader who knows what's doing, the people suffer less. One who makes a policy and reverses it the next day is one without a plan. It has been over one year, it took him six months to appoint ministers, and this is what we get? While other currencies rise and fall due to flotation, the naira has remained static. Which goes to show the CBN is still fully regulating the naira, not demand and supply as it should be.
Don't get me wrong. He has good intentions and Nigeria will be great under him. He s just insensitive to the piercing hardship of the citizens his brazen approach is causing. Many people will die of starvation, massive sack and lack of drugs, which are not available cos of the lack of forex exchange etc.
Like I said he shouldn't throw away the baby with the bath water.
TravelRe: Foreign Flights To Nigeria Forced To Refuel Elsewhere - YahooNews by EdDave(m): 9:19am On Sep 13, 2016
What on earth does Buhari think he s doing? People are crying left and right and he s just sitting there. No matter how noble your intentions are, remember you are there for the people. Of what use is throwing away the baby with the bath water? You just plugged the system and and everything is crashing. You dont just reset a country to ground zero and start afresh. Peoples lives are at stake here.
You say you are fighting corruption and it s still happening right under your nose.
This is the same thing he did in 1985 that he was overthrown. There was increase in unemployment and prices rose.
What made the people think he ll be different this time? A man who didn't develop himself since 1985(backwardness). Who lied about his certificate. Intergrity indeed.
This man is not meant to govern a country.
