Family / How To Patch A Leaking Pot With Sand And Super Glue by eddyland: 6:37pm On Apr 07, 2015
The frustration of a leaking pot can be felt by the time you put that pot on the fire to prepare a meal for the family, then you now noticed that the pot is leaking from the side close to the bottom part, thereby quenching the fire.

You and I know that most times, tinkers are not readily available to fix up the leaking pot, and going to look for one will either take you kilometers apart and if only you will even find them and also waste your time.

Now, we have a home made solution that you can use to fix up that your leaking pot and watch as the leaking pot last for years again even when you fire it with all the hot flames in the house.

The solution that I will be proffering is an easy one that everybody can do and will only cost you one tiny tube of super glue and a chunck of sand.

Bring that your leaking pot and apply super glue on the leaking part (we assume it is a tiny hole) then put a little chunck of sand on it and then again use the super glue to stick up the sand around it and that is all.

You might think that fire will destroy it when you start using it, but you will even get the surprise of your live as fire will even make it stronger as you make use of your patch pot, similar to the way tooth are filled by dentist, as the day goes by the filled tooth becomes stronger.

Try it and come and give testimonies...it is said that necessity is the mother of invention. Enjoy your meal and say no to leaking pot

Yes I can categorically tell you that the Airtel Android 1+1 data promo that was stopped is back and even smoother. Unlike before that you can only subscribe to the plan once, now you can subscribe multiple times.

I just subscribed for a friend and he was given 4Gb and the good thing is that it is very fast now, maybe as a result of many people having ported away from Airtel thereby freeing up the congestion.

Family / Parents Call: Answering Sir/ma Or Yes Daddy/mummy Which Is Preferable? by eddyland: 1:27pm On Mar 23, 2015
Some parents demands that whenever they call their children, that they should answer them by saying Sir/Ma as mark of respect while in some cases you will hear children answering yes daddy/mummy when their parent calls them.

Well for me sha, I see the Sir/Ma as too strict for parent and children relationship, while others might see it as normal and they are OK with it, what is your take on it, sir/ma or yes daddy/mummy, which is preferable?

Phones / Check Whether Your Samsung Phone Is Cloned Or Original by eddyland: 5:05pm On Mar 21, 2015
These days, it is becoming extremely difficult to differentiate a cloned Samsung device from origianal by merely looking at the phone or even going through the external features.

Now, apart from the price of the cloned Samsung phone appearing too cheap other two methods you can use to perfectly detect a cloned and original Samsung phone are;

The dialing of original Samsung Service codes such as this one for test mode *#0*# and others. For Original Samsung phones ,when you dial such codes, you normally get responds while for cloned phone, it will not even recognize such codes.

Secondly, to detect cloned Samsung phone, just check the System on Chips, cos Samsung phones are always built with Qualcomm Snapdragon or their self-made Exynos Chipset. If you see Samsung MTK or other Chinese chipsets, then run for your life

Nairaland / General / How To Enrol For Compulsory Bank Verification Number Before Deadline by eddyland: 3:44pm On Mar 09, 2015
The Central Bank directive to all commercial banks in the county to issue BVN to all its customer is still and the deadline date of 30th June, 2015 is very much intact.

The BVN will enhance security and will make transaction smoother even if you forgot your ID card.

Information have been flying that without your BVN, you will not be able to carry out certain transactions.

To register for your BVN,
1. Walk into any brank of your bank with an ID card and request for BVN enrollment form.

2. Fill the form according, after which your biometrics will be captured.

3. You will then be issued a temporal ID number and you will be ask to go and wait for at least 48hrs for your BVN to be sent as text to your phone number.

When you finally receive your BVN, and if it happens that you own other accounts with other banks, you don't need to go and be registering for another BVN in those banks, just take your single BVN to the banks and it will be harmonized with your accounts.

I cover them because when I go to work, I don't represent myself but the company I work for, who might happen to have uptight azzholes & church rats as clients, so I gotta do what I gotta do to put bread on my table. Outside of my working environment though, I could care less what anyone else thinks. See, I'm having my cake & eating it too. I wouldn't have it any other way.

Like I said, people discriminate but I still went ahead & had them done anyway. I choose when & when not to fit in with the crowd. Nobody else is going to choose a life path for me but myself. I'm still in control of my life either way.
bt I hope u still believe in right and wrong, or are u always chauvinistic nd dogmatic 2 ur life path?

Tattoos don't stop people from settling down with you, your attitude towards them does. I found a man who settled down with me despite having body art so your argument is baseless.

Lastly, people choose how they want to capture memories. You have photos, don't you? Why is it only good for you to have something that reminds you of a special event in your life but others can't? Mind you, not every moment can be caught by the flash of the camera, so you capture those moments & immortalise them in other ways.

I've got a friend who has his mother's date & year of passing tattooed on his person. He says the mere act of tattooing something connected to her, makes him feel like she is with him always. You can't take that away from someone or choose how they should remember things. It's not your call. People do what works for them so stop making it all about you & what YOU like or don't like. It's not about you, boo.
bt truth is dat i hav never seen a person dat says his/her mother's soup 'no sweet'. Even boko haram wil giv u reasons upon reasons y dey ar bombing nd maiming, so 4 u 2 be chavenistic abt ur tattoo is nt strange at all

Career / Average Nigerian: A Millionaire Or Thousanaire? by eddyland: 8:19am On Mar 01, 2015
you hear a lot of people say that an average Nigeria should be capable to do this or that, or like another thread that request for estimated cost for an average Nigerian marriage.

The true question here is when you say 'average Nigerian' where do you really place that person? Are you seeing an average Nigerian as a millionaire or thousanaire?

For example, if I have 500k now in my account, am I qualified to be called an average Nigeria or is there any other particular limit that qualifies one as average Nigeria?

What about those that have about 2 to 3 million in their account, are they millionaires or better still to be classified as average Nigeria.

Your suggestions and opinons will be highly welcome, so to you now what do you really mean when you use the words "average Nigerian", where do you really place such category of individual? As this will help people to know if they are average Nigerians or not, whether they are below or above par.

Phones / Comparing The New Innjoo One With Tecno Phatom Z Mini by eddyland: 2:13pm On Feb 25, 2015
Innjoo One is the latest Innjoo phone that has just been launched and now selling. After detailed observation of the features of the phone and that of others, we found out that the other phone very similar to it is the tecno Phantom Z mini, so we now decided to compare the two devices here to see the features that differentiate the both devices. We were able to come up with the following differences

1. The Phantom Z mini has no slot for memory card while the Innjoo One has

2. The Phantom Z mini front camera is 8MP whereas that of the Innjoo One is 5MP

3. The battery of the Z mini is 2420mAH capacity while that of the Innjoo One is 2600mAH

Aside those features almost all other of their main features are the same.

Now, which will you go for

Family / Will You Allow Your Wife Use intimacy gadgets When You Are Away? by eddyland: 4:57am On Feb 24, 2015
Well, this question can go for both husband and wife but one thing I am not certain about is whether there are intimacy gadgets for men! Now comes the big question:

Will you allow your woman use intimacy gadgets like Love Machine and the rest to satisfy herself sexually when you are away from home for sometimes, maybe as your job demands or for certain assignment?

Thanks for this. I'm presently using the N21k affordable but reliable Gionee M2. Like you're suggesting Elephone P5000 or THL 5000 would naturally have been my next upgrade but their pricing at over N45k might just be out of my budget considering my other commitments. I might just end up spending my N25k on Gionee M3 instead if ever I need to upgrade.

P/S: By the way Tecno L6 is my alternative suggestion to Gionee M2.
