They basically feed on the following: Maize offal Cowpea husk Sorghum husk
mix all together and the are good to go.
Give them Groundnut haulms as hay too. Yes its very profitable when you practice intensive.
thanks a million
Agriculture / Re: Who Have Ever Seen A Matured Foreign Turkey. by eddyline(m): 2:57am On Aug 17, 2018
okwabayi:

I gave them regular broiler starter feed for the first five months of their lives then switched to PKC and adult broiler feed later on. I raised them alongside broilers but had to move them from the enclosure when the foreign ones crushed a few chickens to death.
The good thing about raising them is compared to broilers which eat like their destinies are tied to food turkeys don't eat that much. The same amount of feed which'll last broilers three weeks will sustain turkeys for ~two months.

from your submission hear, it implies that though they may not be a commercial success, one may consider them for personal consumption. am so going to get some for my self. thanks bro.

It was sad when I bought foreign ones. By the seventh month they all got so big that their legs crushed under their weight. I put down the last one amidst tears three weeks ago. I assumed I could keep them past a year to hit unbelievable weights but I was wrong.

My local ones have grown past a year and four months now, surviving diseases, the rainy season and mating like idiots but the problem is they only weigh about one or two kilograms heavier than agric fowls [~seven kilograms on average]. The females are minus one because they're smaller and lighter than foreign chickens.

This turkey farming thing is not it at all. Everybody claims they eat only chicken to avoid paying double the recommended amount for one tom.
Na me and my family don chop our birds since -- every potential buyer acts blind to my harvests.
say, please what did you feed them on? if you have any pics of the foreign one, kindly post.

Is this chaya found in Nigeria please? What is the local name? Thanks
it is referred to as hospital too far in Nigeria. it is fast growing, rich in minerals and may be beneficial in a number of ailments however, many of the health benefits of our local plants are sometimes over hyped.
it also has some tiny hairs at the edge of the leaves which could result in an itch if it should come in contact with your skin

sumesis30:
Good day people, I 've been an abuser of Tramadol for sometimes now and I decided to quit it 3 days ago. In so doing that, I have been going through hell by having an horrible pains of different types in which I almost tempted in taking the drug in order to relieve myself of the pains again but I resisted. Please, what are the remedies to ease these withdrawal symptoms?
if you try stopping abruptly, you may experience serious withdrawal syndrome which may even include serious convulsions. to stop, gradually reduce the quantity you take slowly over a period of say 1 month. e.g if you take 10 caps daily, reduce to 8 per day for 1 week, the next week 6 per day in that fashion until you finally stop

In Cameroon they eat Raw, Roadted and Cooked (boiled) Cassava, they also eat raw sweet potatoes, even Cassava leaves are used for Soup/Sauce.
I don't know if they cassava is different from the ones we have in Nigeria.
there are varieties of cassava that are very low in the poisonous glycosides and they can even be eaten raw. there are however some other varieties that the poisonous substance is high and you can't try eating them raw or just cooked without having serious issues or even death if eaten in large quantities

It's been tough uploading these pictures on my phone. Resorted to my laptop and here they are.

@JohnBoom, the seedling was bought in 2015 at All Green Garden/Nursery.
It's one of the gardens located between the CBN office and Plateau Club, Jos.

Update: Birds continue to feast on the apples, the redder ones attract them more!
hello ma, pls what was the cost of the seedlings back then?

my fear for these type of things is that they are wild animals and serious care must be taken not to end up in the belly of the Python. this is not a business for people like me to do. perhaps Lala will consider this business to push him to his millions

Mr olaeffect has already given you the right answer. however, you can grow these ones, sell and restock for December in mid September. all the best.
also raise your water from the floor and lift the feeders above the ground.
