NYSC › Re: Corp Member Shows Off His First Meal After Receiving N77K Allowance (Video) by EDGEof2MORO: 4:24am On Mar 28, 2025 |
Nonybb: When I see these kids I just laughed. I wish I was younger again and there would be certain decisions I wouldn't have taken. I was paid 19,500 naira that time when I served in Bauchi state; after my one year service, I saved up to 50k naira cash and went back to the east. From the east, I head to Lagos. That was how life started. My port of call then was at Ago Palace. Sadly, the cousin that I lived with that works in a bank refused to provide me with basic three square meal. The guys literally starve me to death that I had to deep in my pocket to feed my self continuously with the 50k of my life saving. When he was defiant, I left him to the east. Stayed with my mum. In fact, it was even a harder decision because all hell was let loose. She never had patient with me either. I was back to Lagos after going almost one year; this time around, in my Uncle's house. Another gate of hell was opened. This time, it was my uncle's wife. When I landed in that house, I never wanted to work in her school but she somehow influenced the decision and stopped the stipend my uncle was promising to be paying me till I get a job. This woman made me her b*tch in that school. I wake up by 4:30am, enter the bus and we drove till 6:30am, then the school starts at 7:00am. I will teach from SS 1 to SS 3. The school closes by 5pm, we enter the bus and arrived 8pm in the night, sometimes 9pm. Because I live in a house that look like a security house, this woman gave me a kitchen and an utensils to fed for myself. By that time, I was weak, no food. I will buy bread to eat. Then again I will wake up by 4:30am again. The cycle continues... Until... In fact I can't finish my storyline. Fast forwarded.... I traveled out of NIGERIA after "Nigeria" dealt with me. Today I am married with a kid and wonderful family. so you were expecting your cousin to feed a full, grown adult 3 times a day? you are an entitled ungrateful lot and that is where I stopped reading whatever nonsense you type here. Nigerians and their sense of entitlement is so sickening they don't even realise it |

Then Anambra state university named after Chinua Achebe... Chinua Achebe belongs to the Academia while Ojukwu is a statesman...most airports are named after statesmen, ex presidents and freedom fighters
Imagine entering this beautiful airport and being greeted by a giant statue of Ojukwu in his military uniform... A true Hero of Ndi Igbo. what is the problem with you people and statue? that's how you had a governor last time that kept stealing your money to pay for statue |

hotseat: If the Natasha recall is successful, it would mark an important milestone in our democratic journey.
It would send a strong signal to other elected persons to be wary of their activities as they might be next in line to be booted out of office!
The actual power belongs to the people and not those that they elected!
@hotseat it would work if they do not rig their way into office. Nigeria has a long way to go with the way we do politics. |

Quarterpast: It is often said that when two Elephants fight, it is the grass that suffers.
Wike and FUBARA are the two Elephants, while Rivers workers are the grasses. Unfortunately , the innocent workers are the ones been caught up in the crossfire, they are suffering more from the ongoing fight and battle for supremacy between Wike and FUBARA. Now that the federal subvention has been seized, how will workers be paid? Can the state be sustained only by the internally generated revenue? Did the judgement also deny FUBARA access to the monies generated from the state IGR? Let's hear from you. Clearly, you've never been or seen where elephants are fighting. These are two idiots fighting and destroying other people's shop. |

i don't get it Democracy? abeg Democracy is not what these people need, hell, it's not even what they want. America has been trying to install democracies in nations for a century and it hasn't worked one time. These countries don't have the most basic building blocks to support a democracy. Little things like, "We ought to be tolerant of those that disagree with us." "We ought to be tolerant of those who worship a different god than us!" That, "A journalist ought to be able to disagree with the president!" And you think you can just march into these countries - based on some fundamentalist, religious principles - drop a few bombs, topple a dictator and start a democracy? Give me a break whenever the people living in this our Africa are ready to make their lives better, they will create the leadership they need. |

Baronthecelebri: I support her support wetin you wan support. women are a special breed. after making all the money in the world, they will still wait for a man to take care of their bills. yeye BloomingDale: Women who marry in their 20s tend to have higher divorce rates compared to those who marry later, though the specifics depend on the age within that decade and other factors. Research consistently shows that marrying very young—especially in the early 20s or teens—correlates with a higher likelihood of divorce. For example, couples who marry before age 20 face a divorce rate as high as 50% within 10 years, according to studies like those from the National Survey of Family Growth (NSFG). Marriages between ages 20-25 also show elevated risk, with around 60% ending in divorce over time, per some analyses.
The “sweet spot” for lower divorce risk seems to be around 28-32. A study by Nicholas Wolfinger using NSFG data (2006-2010) found that divorce risk decreases as age at marriage increases up to the late 20s, then slightly rises again past the early 30s—about 5% per year after 32. Women marrying at 25 or older are roughly 24% less likely to divorce than those marrying earlier, aligning with broader trends of increased stability with age.
Why? Younger couples often lack emotional maturity, financial stability, or clarity about long-term compatibility—factors that improve with time. The prefrontal cortex, key for decision-making, isn’t fully developed until around 25, which might explain some of this. Plus, marrying later often means more education and career grounding, buffering against marital strain. That said, waiting too long (past mid-30s) can introduce new risks, like entrenched habits or less flexibility.
Data’s messy, though—divorce stats vary by region, race, education, and whether couples cohabited first (which can bump up risk). The crude narrative of “early 20s = doomed” oversimplifies; plenty of young marriages last with the right conditions. Still, the pattern holds: marrying in the 20s, especially early, generally means a bumpier road. it thought you were making sense until you started talking about prefrontal cortex. |

SpyChild: I don’t know why people keep saying that people staying abroad are sex starved. There are stages to the game and hustle if you live abroad. If you are still tryna figure out your papers and work to get money to make it happen, where will you even see the time or energy to pursue sex. Now, if you have figured yourself out and you are in a place like the US, cities like Houston, Dallas, Atlanta, New Orleans and the like for instance where there are also a good percentage of blacks, who told you you won’t have sex?
Omoh akata love sex plus they are good and sexy too.
The only difference is that unlike Nigeria where most people have a lot of free time to be pursuing sex, people actually work here for at least 8hrs to get your bills paid. So after work, if you have strength go and pursue sex cos there are people out there to that have the time and wanna seek the pleasure too.
It’s pathetic that home based folks actually believe this. Lol I don’t wanna delve into details when it comes to that kind of lifestyle but most people don’t actually have game and because of the economic hardships in nigeria and they pick low hanging fruit thinking they have game.
It’s game time abroad, if you don’t have the it…sorry Konji will be your first name cos you no fit do anyhow, Popo go carry you shaperly no mind that ednut03, dey type yeye |

kabukabu50: Nigerian women in the US really only have 2 options in the US.
White or Nigerian men, they don't date black Americans because of many issues like drugs, alcohol, baby mama issues,no job stability.
Same goes for Nigerian men. Sure you can have your pick if you're a top tier Alpha male type..like in exceptional shape, very good job, athlete type you can pretty much get any ethnicity.
But for most average normal naija guys for settling down and marrying its going to be either a Nigerian or very average white lady.
College educated, good looking white women are not going after regular black men.
Notice all the black athletes regardless of race almost exclusively date white women because their earning potential is high and their in their physical prime. ednut03 does not have high potential earnings and is not in his physical prime. That is OK. The problem starts when he begins to project his insecurities to other Nigerian men and women abroad. |
