Leaders don't fall from heaven. They come from the masses.
Leaders are mostly the reflection of the masses. Forget rigging - it only happens because the masses accept it.

That one weak me completely. I believe it was Ighalo that bribed those media outlets to be publishing fairytale links to Barca and Man U and co. grin.

Anyways, Ighalo knows he has zero competition in the SE at the moment. That explains his decision. How else do you explain a top striker opting to stay in the Chinese 2nd division in an AFCON year?. He knows we have no option. Unless if we want to start Iheanacho. grin.

If I were Rohr, I'd delete Ighalo's name from my AFCON roster. Just to prove a point and teach a lesson. Let him chop his retirement money in peace.
What Ighalo should be praying for is Maja doesn't settle in properly in Ligue Un or Onuachu doesn't move to a decent club this summer.
If not he's done for. Anyways let's see what he does this summer...

I think you have lost the point here. See my point eh, VicMo could have played in Sterling's wing and Liverpool would still have achieved what they did. Sturridge and Suarez did literally everything attack wise.
He scored 9 league goals which isn't that bad. Had a good game against City that season as well. Contributions weren't that major but def a better option than Vic Moses would've been.

Bros shebi 2014 World Cup na Liverpool him still dey nah ? Me no talk say e bad for Liverpool nah ,if e bad dem no go buy am 49 million pounds nah

Sterling did not even repeat that form that make mancity to buy him when he first arrive at city ,you guys know this but you won't admit

Can you compare 6 and 7 goals a season with 5 assist or so to 18 goals per season and now 10 on just 22 games ?

Even at Liverpool he scored 9 ,he never did that under pelegrini but at pep he scored 18 Epl goals last season and he is not a striker

I said he was bad at his early mancity days before pep arrive Gbam
He had ONE "bad" season. He was still inconsistent in Pep's first season. Even last season where his numbers improved - he still went through a period where his form tailed off.
We're talking of the same Sterling that Pep rejected a swap deal for Alexis AND MONEY for.

I am just making an example with musa

Pep make sterling a wold class player without pep sterling will not be scoring 20 goals in the epl per season and get up to 15 assists, for your information almighty hazard of the epl has never scored 20 goals a season but sterling has done that with pep

There are so many proof pep improved sterling but you guys wont agree because of one thing i wont say about but deep down in your mind you know the truth.
Bros Sterling has been scoring goals in his youth team days...it was only a matter of time before he translated it to the senior level.
All this Pep made him world class talk is nonsense. He always had that ability but was inconsistent. He is showing more consistency...that's all there is to it.

At the bolded are you kidding me?

Sterling got a lot of potential and pep made him world class

If not for pep sterling will still remain the headless chicken he used to be.

Pep turn leroy sane to something else

How i wish pep is man united coach, you go see as martial and rashford go turn to something else

Take it or leave it
Sorry I meant Liverpool.
Kai now I see what my friend meant when he said Pep is starting to get majorly hyped.
Sterling was never a "headless chicken". If you think I'm lying - go watch his games for England at the 2014 WC. That was what convinced him he wasn't the typical overrated British player.
As for Sane - seriously?? What is Sane doing now that we didn't expect him to when he got to this stage? The same Sane most big clubs were after? The same Sane that was scoring for Schalke against Madrid in the ucl?
Pep is a good coach but he isn't God. You guys need to stop acting like he's turned a Pius Ikedia to Figo or something.
In his City stint so far - Money has played more of a big role in his success. If he doesn't win the league this season - his record will be similar to that of Pellegrini(he got city to the Semi Finals of the ucl)...that's crazy considering the money he has spent.

And VicMo was having serious injury concerns then. It is natural that hr would find it difficult to get back to the team.
What injury problems? Vic Moses flopped at Chelsea. Rodgers played him as a 10 sef so no one should talk about English hype being the reason why Sterling played ahead of him.
Being English and his personal lifestyle is the reason why Sterling gets over scrutinized.
Funny thing is people were saying Pep would sell him as soon as joined City yet one of the first things pep did was to call him to assure him he was a key player...same Pep wanted him at Bayern.

Oga he was crap ,which finishing be the difference ? Na na musa dey play like that say una no go cause am ni ,you dey use inconstitent as excuse ,pep really turn that guy to a world class player

No ball control poor decision making.check him under pep dribbles everything are top notch ,he even have been assisting so many goals at city

It took him 2 seasons to Live up to the expectations at city if na African player dem go don run dey call am flop
Sterling only lacked end product. The fact you're comparing to Musa is hilarious. His decision making was always good for one his age.
Pep did not improve anything about that guy. Sterling would've been this good if he stayed at Liverpool or even moved to Arsenal.
He has just gained more composure and improved his finishing.
Besides - didn't Pep and Sterling himself say he has been doing extra work with Arteta?? So I guess we should be giving Arteta credit then abi?

I am not telling you of sterling at Liverpool.

I am telling you of sterling of mancity first 2 seasons before pep arrive ,the guy was crap he didn't live up to the things they saw at Liverpool till guardiola arrived ,go and check the stats and see for your self
He wasn't crap...just inconsistent. The difference between Sterling now and then is his finishing and I guess getting into scoring positions.

Now let me correct you ,Taiwo didn't play from 2011 to 2013 don't make it look like he was there,he was only there for a season and spend the rest part on loan at qpr and dynamo Kiev

Once again only someone who knows nothing about football will judge a player with just 4 games .
He was a flop. Maldini said his signing was an error. My guy could attack but couldn't defend...I think age was catching up with him.

Milan in for Nigerian starlet?

Milan are reportedly keen on signing Charleroi and Nigeria starlet Victor Osimhen.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, Milan have turned their attentions to Osimhen after being priced out of moves for Gerard Deulofeu and Yannick Carrasco.

The website explains negotiations are ‘ready to go live’ with the intention of taking the 20-year-old to San Siro.

The attacker, who can play anywhere along the front line, has 10 goals in 20 appearances for Charleroi this season, as well as three Nigeria caps.

However, he is owned by Wolfsburg and his loan club have a €3m option to buy, although TMW claims the Rossoneri could snap him up for €15m.

I'll very much love to have Tammy Abraham in our team. But as it stands, Its not going to happen.
Maybe he really had Nigeria in his mind initially but his utterances proved otherwise...Dude wanna play for England ...simple!

He is in hot form right now and another England call up is just inches away.
You think he will throw that away to declare for Nigeria? grin

Take note that England will be playing competitive games until the euro starts in June 2020 (euro qualifiers and nations cup) and all it will take is one minute on the pitch for Tammy to be cap tied to them.. So why are we bothering ourselves?

Biko, let's focus on the players we have now.. They mayn't be currently better than Tammy doesn't mean they won't be better than him in the future...
Simple as that. My own is she shouldn't disparage the guy and say x and y is better than him because he rejected us. I'll support players x and y when they don our jersey - I just won't say they are better than him when it isn't true...simple.

As for me, I am more into building in long term gains than celebrating qualification. There was a time we could beat our chest that we can give the best sides in the game a run for their money. We would not only match up to top teams but try to outplay them in every quarter of the game. A good example is our game against Spain in France 98. When Bora, the Super Eagles coach was asked if he was scared of the Spanish team by Sam Atasia Oburu, his reply was, "Spain should be scared of us (Nigeria)."

We were in the group of death but played with bravery in every game.

Today we celebrate tucking our tails in between our legs to qualify. These are short term gains and we are not in any way building a solid team that will have the capability of matching against some of the top teams of the World and giving them a run for their money. We can only maintain a timid fashion if we continue towing in this path.
Not a big fan of how we play sometimes under Rohr, but you can't say he's planning short term because he plays a conservative style of football.
Whatever you want to say about Rohr, one thing is for certain - he's a good man manager and great at organization. I wish he could be a bit more adventurous - but I wouldn't go as far as saying he isn't into long term gains because he doesn't play expansive football.

What will an experienced coach do about Aiyenugba's shambolic display? I have seen Sia1's teams playing it safe a number of times, what if genuinely he didn't know that we needed a 2-1 with yo qualify? Even Yobo came out to say they didn't know they needed that, maybe the logistics team of the NFF told him something different? Oh you didn't think that one, but if Rohr fields a suspended Shehu then it is the fault of the NFF abi? Double standards Oga, double standards. I'd rather not reveal all the secrets that I know about that particular period like the reason why Odewinge was missing open nets because it is rather personal, however the real blame should be going to the NFF for not properly educating the coach.

I won't entirely blame him for not qualifying for AFCON. NFF should get half the blame.
I liked how we played under Siasia but his man management skills was a bit suspect(not as bad as Oliseh)... the way he handled the Osaze and Enyeama issues wasn't the best and it cost us.
