andrew444: Luis Suarez is still yet to score a champions league goal since the 6-1 win against psg
Yet a moniker is insulting onyekuru for not scoring in the champions league as if onyekuru is playing for a team that scores goals in the champions league
What a world we leave in . Suarez is now a fatso. Looks like the guy is lacking serious motivation |

Mickael2: The game I am talking about is the recent 3-1 loss. Chances were created for people who got into the right positions, who made the right runs. Even Ndidi of all people actually got a nice chance in the first half from which the penalty was awarded because instead of pulling the trigger after a combo with that Barnes guy(or whatever his name is from the U23) he passed to Madison I believe who was then fouled. A system that creates chances even for the DMF is not a bad system. I will post the highlights right away then I expect your opinion afterwards. Puel mostly plays "negative football" against the big sides and let's be honest - the results justify it most of the time. We've had Vardy complain that they don't play as direct as before but he has adjusted. What excuse do we have for a talent like Nacho then? We were all calling him "alien kid" here and now we're saying he needs the a world class midfield to thrive? It's either his allround game was overrated from the start or he isn't capable of adapting to change. We've been through the position issue and Leicester have played him as an out and out striker and a support striker so that's not an excuse anymore. |

Taliban: Thank you sir. When I was in secondary school I remember seniors in their late teens and early twenties, so it's very possible. However in Mikels case that U17 picture showed by the Goodjoe resembles that of a 16 year old in my opinion except it was photoshopped. And to agree with you, the pepsi academy talk and plateau utd comments not water tight in my assessment. I mean I'm not saying Mikel faked his age. I'm saying it's not far fetched to suggest he did. This was the period before MRI where age cheating was at extreme levels. |

Mickael2: It is factually impossible to claim a 16 year old is 12. It becomes easier to hide your age at...say 17, you could be 25 and claim 17 but 12 and 16 is a no no. I mean that's the intensive puberty stage right there Tbaba123 posted a pic of a player who claimed to be 14. If 4 years from now that guy makes it - people on here will talk about how he looked so young and was praised for mixing it up with old men. Mikel might have looked older than 12 but the handlers just looked another way. This is Nigeria for christ sake! Andrew444 is not saying anything new |

TheGoodJoe: You can not see a 20 years old man and feel he is a secondary school boy.
It is not about looking younger but looking like a secondary school boy. Pharrell(until recently) could pass off as a school boy. |

TheGoodJoe: Mikel was found as 12. Four years or so later when he played for Plateau United, he was seen as a secondary school boy. If the 4 years older theory was true, then he was found at 16 years and 4 years later, the Plateau United fans saw a 20 years old man and criticised the coach for fielding a Secondary school boy. Is that possible? Definitely not. The 4 years shaved off Mikel's age is simply not true.
Finito. Yeah because we don't have 20 year olds in high school in nigeria? If we go by the theory of not reading people's ages solely from their looks - are you saying some people don't look younger(or older like some say on here) than their age?? |
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by edi287: 12:31am On Feb 15, 2019 |
TheGoodJoe: Found at 12. It is difficult to be 16 and above and claim 12.
The know how academy point you are saying is not a factual point. As you have said, "heard stories". Most of these arguments are rumor Mills.
Finito. Not rumor mills - I've actually seen it with my own eyes. I had a friend who trialed for U19 when he was 17 but was told to go to the U15 team because he "looked young". I also know of a guy who sent his son for U17 trials but got told to take him to the U12s. These guys have no reason to lie or whatsoever. True maybe it is difficult to pass off a 16 year old as 12 but why are you ignoring the probability of handlers agreeing to pass a 16 year old as 12?? You've probably lived in naija longer than I have so I'm suprised you'd disregard some of these stories as "rumor mills" |

TheGoodJoe: How can you even say he is correct? Do you know what a 16-18 year old boy looks like? Mikel was picked up by Pepsi Academy at 12 years old. If Mikel was as Andrew444 claims, 4 or more years older than his claimed age, then, Mikel was 16 or more. When he was found as a 12 years old.
Sorry, it is not true that Mikel is four years older than his true age. You're acting like you don't know how some of these naija "academies" work. How many times have we heard stories of players who come for trials but get told they are too "small" and should go down an age grade?? I'm not saying Mikel shaved off 4 years(maybe he did, maybe he didn't) but let's not use "he was found as 12" talk as proof he is truly 12....this is naija...everything and anything is possible. |

andrew444: Now tell me why will I argue with you when you are saying the truth and not being bias like others
You are making a lot of sense 100 percent
Thou I will like him to leave Leicester
Nacho also have some good games under the jersey of Leicester .
Yes Leicester are playing him in his best position but he is not getting the goals that's it
I should remind others people on this thread that Christian benteke scored 3 Epl goals last season in about 30 games and he has not been killed. The only club I can think of at a decent level that he can play for and might fit in is West Ham. I don't think he'll get more games than he is getting at Leicester but at least he'll play under someone who already knows what he's capable of in Pellegrini. However - Leicester are signing good CAMs. Maddison and now Tielemans are young creative mids with big potential. We also have to remember Nacho played alongside Mahrez. Honestly, I was expecting him to hit 10 goals this season sha. |

andrew444: Osimhen struggle for game time is different from osimhen doing well .
Wolfsburg coach didn't purchase osimhen ,Wolfsburg as a team purchased him due to a young talent that did well at the u17 World Cup so it's not a must the coach must use him ,dude even had to wait till his 18th bday before he even dreamt of playing .
If osimhen had game time he will do well,so it's a 2 different thing
Nacho will do well in Germany if he had game time
Did you watch Andrej kramaric Leicester? If you watch him you will say he wouldn't do well in Germany ,but today kramaric is a better player and acting much goals after the nightmare and even shone like a million star for Croatia at the World Cup . Hmmm nice comparison with Kramaric. I didn't watch Leicester too many times but I remember the game against Arsenal where Kramaric played well...he showed shades of what he could do. He certainly showed more attributes as a CF/ST than Nacho. The thing is we still have people arguing what Nacho's best position is. One thing is for certain - few big teams play with 2 upfront which seems to suite Nacho best. People talk about LA Liga but Atleti are the only ones that play with a 2 and we all know Nacho isn't going to bench Griezmann in a million years. So people need to stop advising him to leave Leicester. Leicester are playing him in his best position. |
