TheSuperNerd: Guys and Ladies... Please take a good look at the list again released by the NFF handle (something that the Super Eagles handle is there for).
1- The initial list
2- The new modified list
There was initially no Paul Onuachu and Semi Ajayi was listed twice in the list. As Defender and Midfielder. That is why I counted 32.
Na wa for the person compiling these lists electronically.
So many forwards...that Marcus dude is a wide forward. I honestly would've dropped one of Marcus, Onyekuru, Iwuala, Musa for Nwakali. I don't understand why we keep inviting Shehu. Nwakali and Nwobodo should be on this list.
Rohr should be prioritizing our midfield instead of stacking the team with CBs and Forwards.
Honestly we might have been a bit lucky. I didn't understand that Laca sub. We needed pace to hit Chelsea on the break but Arteta chooses to bring on Laca?
Arteta is good at setting his team up but his in game management is piss poor.
Base on current FIFA ranking release last month Nigeria national team is ahead of Algeria. Gerhnort Rohr should just cap this Michael olise this coming international window in June before we also loose him to Algeria
Danielnino00: Ndidi still has plenty of years ahead of him.. And going by his career progress, he seem to improve every season.. If the trajectory continues,he has everything it takes to surpass Oliseh...
12large1: Reading comprehension is fundamental. No one said that the present super eagles is better than 1990's even though I think they have the potential to surpass 90's team. Our argument, is simply that ndidi and osimehn will make 1990's until present SE team. It stand valid
Arabiandude: I just watched YouTube videos of these players again. I feel we seriously don't know the talent we will be having if they plays for us and comes good at the NT.
Eze Ejaria Olise Aribo(Already a SE player and he has done well).
If things goes to plan and we get all these guys, others should just vacate the SE midfield for.. Ndidi Eze Ejaria Olise Aribo Nwakali And any other DM like the Rennes guy to deputize for Ndidi. We can still have a solid midfield with these other guys even if Eze continue to exclude himself. Iwobi should be taken to the left wing
Imagine getting both Olise and Eze would be a dream. That's our creativity issue sorted for a decade...
jihday: He scored lots in Holland and Spain did Rodgers do that too? Suarez na fine player no matter how or where, I think he only played for 6 months under Hodgson
Suarez only scored 11 in his first full season at Liverpool. Scored 20 and 33 under Rodgers.
Arabiandude: Then allow Sadiq also have his first season in Laliga also, hopefully that will be actualize next season, then we will be able to compare Ighalo EPL first season and Sadiq Laliga first season. For now, the only way to rate them is Ighalo stats when he played in Laliga 2 for Grenada and Sadiq stats playing in same Laliga 2 for Almeria. Again, I will stand by my words that Ighalo 15 goals in the EPL was a fluke and a one season wonder, else how come he scored just 1 goal the next season? Also in all Ighalo professional career playing in the top leagues, he has been abysmal, except for that singular season that he scored 15 leagues goals.
So why say Sadiq is better than peak Ighalo if we need to allow him to have his first season at LA Liga? How exactly is Sadiq Umar at the moment better than Peak Ighalo?
Arabiandude: Ighalo first season with Watford was in the championship and he scored 20 goals. Sadiq in his first season with Almeria has scored 16 goals already with more assists.
Ighalo first season in Laliga 2 where Sadiq is playing now was with Grenada and he scored just 4 goals.
Ighalo has only had 2 good seasons in his professional career playing in the whole of euro why Sadiq has had 4 good seasons already, also playing in the same Europe
I was talking about his first season in the epl. Truth is Sadiq has not come close to outperforming Ighalo's first season in the epl. Peak Ighalo > Sadiq Umar.
Arabiandude: I have always said it that Rohr is a mad man.
Talent wise, Ighalo at his best even isn't better than Sadiq and he is not a better finisher than Onuachu and Simy, I can't even mention Osimhen, Iheanacho and Moffi in the same sentence with Ighalo. So someone should please ask Rohr what he sees in Ighalo that no one else is seeing
Ighalo in his first season at Watford was better than Sadiq is now.
