Icon79: Please, let's stop these nonsense! So because Mutiu "worked at 3SC for a bit", we should promote him into the national team set up, eh? And because "Finidi worked at the youth setup of Betis", that qualifies him to be in pole position for our national team coach, huh?
Some of the craps you read on this forum. Listen, anybody who wants to be in consideration for the national team coach ought to start by proving himself at club level or age grade levels (either U-21 or the Olympics) first; before any aspirations of getting into the full national team set up. The Super Eagles is not where folks should go to test their coaching abilities or lack thereof. We've already tried that with Sunday Oliseh and it was a disaster!
O pari He has his coaching badges like Finidi and the rest. So what's the issue?? We are talking about someone assisting Rohr - Oya tell us who you'd like to replace Salisu?? |

Finidi!? I don't know how good he is. Mutiu seems to be ahead of him. I think Finidi worked at the youth setup of Betis if I'm not mistaken. Mutiu wouldn't be a bad idea. Heard he worked at 3SC for a bit. |

BascoVanVeli: I never heard of that. Please proof? Amuneke confirmed that he slapped Galliano. A football agent, Henry Galliano, was on Monday evening assaulted by a Nigerian coach, Emmanuel Amuneke, at the Rockview Hotel, Owerri, the Imo State capital. The assault, which happened at about 6:00 p.m. was caused by the decision of Golden Eaglets star, Kelechi Iheanacho, to choose Galliano as his agent ahead of one recommended by Amuneke. As agent, Galliano would be responsible for arranging club transfer deals for Iheanacho, a member of the world-conquering Golden Eaglets. Iheanacho was selected by FIFA as the best player of the just-concluded FIFA U17 World Cup in the UAE. He has since been linked to top European clubs including FC Porto and Manchester City. PREMIUM TIMES learnt that Iheanacho has signed an agent deal officially with Galliano with a copy of the agreement sent to the secretariat of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF. The agent also confirmed that a copy of the agreement with Iheanacho was submitted to the NFF on October 21. In a chat with PREMIUM TIMES, Galliano and his Nigerian partner, Solomon Oluwaseun, accused Amuneke of assault; and threatened to press charges against him. They said the coach invited them for a meeting before he got angry, saying that his (Amuneke’s chosen) agent must be the one to handle Iheanacho’s transfer. “The coach invited us, we went to see him and he started threatening Kelechi that he should follow him to Abuja to sign with his agent who is working with a Nasiru Jubril, a staff of the NFF; or else Nasiru, the man in charge of the ITC (International Transfer Certificate), will not release kelechi’s ITC to him and they will both make sure that he is banned from Nigeria football; also he will not get a good club. “When the agent tried to talk back, the coach slapped him and beat him up in the presence of over 25 people,” Solomon said. In his comment, Galliano said he only came to Nigeria to take Iheanacho abroad for club engagement; and he didn’t know why the coach threatened him. “I came here to take Kelechi to his club. FC Porto and Manchester City are interested in him but Manchester City has a better package. This was our discussion and conclusion when Mr. Amuneke sent for me, and asked me to go back to my cousin. “He called me names, beat me up and embarrassed me, he said it’s impossible to just take his players,” Galliano said while accusing Amuneke of racial statements. Galliano, an American, said Amuneke ordered Iheanacho to follow him to Abuja and also threatened him; which made the boy to burst into tears and went away. “Kelechi is nowhere to be found, he started crying after the threat made against him, the small boy is afraid and I hope he will not lose hope. “ Amuneke said he will delay his ITC and deal with him, he called vulgar words, cursing the boys and the players,” he said.PREMIUM TIMES tried to speak to Iheanacho, but his phone was switched off. His father, when contacted, declined comment. Amuneke, a Nations Cup winner in 1994 with the Super Eagles, and current assistant coach of the Golden Eaglets, confirmed to PREMIUM TIMES that he assaulted the American. When contacted on phone, an angry Amuneke confirmed that he slapped Galliano. He threatened to beat him up again whenever he sees him. He, however, denied being involved in the player’s possible transfer. “Yes, of course I slapped him very well and I will do it again whenever I see him,” Amuneke said. “He is an angel*, useless white man, he wants to come and reap where he didn’t sow. “ Kelechi is a nobody; yes, I said we helped him into the team, made him, moulded him into what he is today, he shouldn’t allow anybody to fool him,” the former winger said. When asked the reason for his action and his rumoured roles in Kelechi and other players transfer business, Amuneke said, “I care so much for my players, I am a coach.” “I’m not an agent but I just look out for the boys. He wants to come and sign a player just like that, he’s an angel*, I will not allow him. “Because the boy’s parents are poor and illiterate, he wants to use them. We are Nigerians and we’re not foolish,” he added. Despite Amuneke’s denial, the shady involvement of Nigerian coaches and football officials in the transfer of players to foreign clubs is something muted and known by close observers of Nigerian football. A football website, Goal.com, recently revealed that Super Eagles midfielder, Sunday Mba’s move to a French club, was scuttled because of the financial demands and involvement of Eagles coach, Stephen Keshi, and some officials of the NFF. Mba had been unveiled by the French club, Bastia, before he was forced to return to Nigeria. The NFF also recently suspended a former Secretary General of the Federation, Taiwo Ogunjobi, over the latter’s alleged involvement in the transfer of a Flying Eagles forward, Olanrewaju Kayode http://premiumtimesng.com/news/149910-e ... nsfer.html |

TheGoodJoe: In the current state of football, hard work and discipline edges talent. Richarlison is a monster on the pitch when it comes to hard work. So I doubt we can use Iwobi's balling talent to put him ahead of Richarlison. Still don't think he's ahead. Talented no doubt but Iwobi has balled against the likes of Barca and Chelsea. Iwobi 16/17 season was better than Richarlison 17/18. Had a better season than Iwobi last season but that's where it ends. |

TheGoodJoe: Iwobi is better on the ball, better vision and technique, no doubt. Richarlison does not fall far behind in respect of these. He is also good on the ball, has a nice vision and good technique too. But, trumps Iwobi hands down in hardwork on and off the pitch. Richarlison is a very disciplined player. Trains hard and takes his preparation seriously. He is also in perfect shape with a goal of becoming a top player.
Certainly a far better player than Iwobi.
I wish our youngsters can learn from Richarlison. Might be more disciplined but Iwobi is more talented and has done more in my book. I think people are starting to underrate Iwobi now. Of course he hasn't helped himself but that doesn't negate his ability. |

charlesemeka85: Nigerian striker Peter Olayinka has ended speculation about his future after penning a four-year contract with SK Slavia Prague, the Czech First League club announced via their official website on Saturday.
Allnigeriasoccer.com has been informed that Gent will pocket approximately 3.5 million euros plus bonuses for agreeing to terminate their agreement with Olayinka before its expiration.
Olayinka is returning to the Czech Republic capital after a previous stint with Dukla Prague, for whom he scored 7 goals in 32 appearances in all competitions.
Commenting on the transfer, Olayinka stated : ''I was very happy, when I learned about going to Slavia and returning to Prague, I was happy and it attracts me because Slavia is the top of Czech football.
''When I was in Dukla, Slavia became the champion of the league. I can imagine that Slavia will once again be a champion and I want to be like that. It's a great chance for me. Slavia is a club where I can become a champion.''
Olayinka began his career with 36 Lion before moving to Bylis Ballsh in Albania, and also counts Yenicami SK and Skënderbeu amongst his former employers.
For the upcoming season, he will play with the number nine jersey at Slavia Prague.
The deal taking Olayinka to Slavia Prague was brokered by respected French agent Cedric Mazet. Useless agent. Very bad move from Olayinka. More excuse for Rohr not to look at him |

Junior Pius From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Junior Udeme Pius (born 20 December 1995) is a Nigerian professional footballer who plays for Portuguese club C.D. Tondela as a central defender.
Football career[edit] Born in Eman, Akwa Ibom, Pius finished his development in Portugal with FC Porto.[1] On 1 September 2014, he was loaned to C.D. Aves to kickstart his senior career,[2] making his Segunda Liga debut on 5 October in a 0–0 away draw against C.D. Santa Clara where he was sent off for two late bookable offences.[3]
Released by Porto at the end of the season, Pius took his game to the Portuguese third division, representing in quick succession F.C. Cesarense and A.D. Sanjoanense. In the summer of 2017 he moved straight to the Primeira Liga, signing a three-year contract with C.D. Tondela[4] and playing his first game in the latter competition on 16 September when he came on as a 31st-minute substitute in a 0–2 away loss to Sporting Clube de Portugal.[5]
In December 2017, while nursing a serious anterior cruciate ligament injury to his right knee contracted in a friendly against S.C. Covilhã two months earlier,[6] Pius was caught stealing from a fund containing player fines of various types, this allegedly being the third time the incident had occurred with him. He was immediately suspended by the club, also being forbidden from attending its facilities.[7]
