goldfish80: They are different kind of players. Samuel Kalu is more of a touch line winger while Malcom is an inside forward. Not really a like for like replacement if indeed true. From the little I've seen he's a cross between both. Can play on both wings |

goldfish80: I didnt watch the Chelsea game but from what I saw of the Psg friendly, Iwobi is still Iwobi. He missed an obligatory sitter. The only way he will wrestle a position in the starting 11 is if his production level stays consistent. The body language of the new guys at Arsenal looks zero tolerance. The guy just wants to side foot every attempt. I'd be disappointed if he doesn't improve on his shooting by the end of the season. Should be having double figures in goals and assists like Wenger said but I'll be ok with 7 goals and 10 assists from him this season. Gets into great positions for it to happen |

I wonder.
Pondering as well.
When new cans are about to be opened, Nigerians always seize the can opener..
I've never been a fan of Nigeria having produced smooth academy to Europe deals for young footballers etc. So I'm like 40% believing this...
Only confirmation is left now.... Laloko would have to be the biggest psycho around to just wake up and make up such a baseless rumor. What I don't believe is him trying to imply that J Obi wasn't invited on merit. We all know he was in good form for Torino last season. |

Did anyone hear this on Brilla? This guy owns/heads the Pepsi academy Mikel came if I'm not mistaken?? How come Mikel didn't push for his Invitation much much earlier?? Remember it took a while for Rohr to give Obi an invite despite being in great form. Would Mikel not have been pissed when Chidibere Nwakali was invited over him?? Not too much is known of J Obi's past sha. One thing I've learnt in life is nothing is impossible. Wouldn't be in the least bit shocked if this is true. |

charlesemeka85: Kenneth Omeruo is poised to spend his sixth successive season away from Stamford Bridge and his latest move could be confirmed before the end of this week.
Carefree Youth says the Nigeria international is presently in Turkey; the defender landed in Ataturk airport, Istanbul on Tuesday for transfer talks with one of his suitors.
Göztepe S.K, who have been on Omeruo's case for the past one year, are presumably the frontrunners to sign him on a season-long loan.
The center back's future at the Blues has been a point of discussion as he has yet to make his competitive debut for the Premier League side since joining them in January 2012 from Sunshine Stars.
Although he made the headlines for his impressive display against Iceland at the 2018 World Cup, new Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has declared him surplus to requirements.
Omeruo was immediately loaned out to ADO Den Haag after he joined Chelsea, then had loans with Middlesbrough, Kasımpaşa and Alanyaspor in subsequent seasons. Miazga is moving to Ligue un while Omeruo dey chill for Turkey. Na wa ooo |

Icon4s: The end of every world cup usually marks the end of a particular era of players.
After the 1994 World Cup we saw the last of some players: Steven Keshi Thompson Oliha Chidi Nwannu Sampson Siasia
After the 1998 World Cup we saw the end of some players like: Uche Okechukwu Ben Iroha Austine Eguavoen Rashidi Yekini Peter Rufai
After the 2002 World Cup we saw the last of: Mutiu Adepoju Benedict Akuegbu Ike Shorunmu Likes of Oliseh, Finidi and Tijani were kicked out of the team ahead of the world cup
After the 2010 World Cup we saw the last of: Yakubu Aiyegbeni Danny Shitu Sani Kaita Chidi Odiah Kalu Uche Nwankwo Kanu
After the 2014 World cup we saw the last of: Joseph Yobo Shola Ameobi Osaze Odemwingie Emmanuel Emenike Ejike Uzoenyi Austin Ejide Michael Babatunde, Michael Uchebo, Uche Nwofor and co.
Now the 2018 World Cup has come and gone. Are there players that we may have seen the last of? My predictions: Brown Ideye Odion Ighalo Elderson Echiejile And the following may still be in the squad for the next AFCON but not likely to make the next World Cup: Mikel Obi Daniel Akpeyi Ikechukwu Ezenwa Leon Balogun
Strictly my opinion. You can share yours on the post 2018 World Cup. Echiejile Ezenwa Akpeyi Mikel Onazi (if he doesn't sit up) |

gamaliel9: Tactical meaning a lot brain work and re-strategesing non-stop...Tammy is all hit and run....kpum...gwooo....thats all....roughshod...brute movement....no craft nor guile...no bench in Italy is for him. We wait till they hit the same number of matches...opportunity matters...Look at Steven Gerrard..already a coach..but Sol Cambell still languishing despite having better coaching certificate...Scottish Premiership may be equivalent to English Championship...lets watch... Tammy isn't all "hit and run". Watched a few of his games for Chelsea's reserves and some for Swansea. He has good link up play which is massively underrated. His first half performance for Swansea against Arsenal convinced me he had something there. I'm sorry but it's crazy to suggest Sadiq Umar is on this level much less better than him...it simply is not true |

andrew444: How many matches did umar start that you said he was already scoring?
What are you saying? so if roma didnt get a new coach umar will be a starter? O common umar was never a starter at as roma, stop decieving us,new coach or not.
No coach in his right senses will start a umar when you have dzeko there who is a world class player, only a mad man will bench a dzeko for a umar so stop saying what you dont know, even if a nigerian is the head coach of as roma then, umar will still be on the bench.
Dzeko is a world class player who will make the first 11 of so many big teams,so there is no hope for umar at as roma.
Umar was also benched at bologna and torino so what are you saying? why didnt he make those teams?
you say tammy will not make the bench in italy? why wont he make the bench? Seria A subs during a game are up to 15 players, while epl and laliga are only 7,so tammy will make it,tammy will make the team of Bologna where umar manage only 3 games, tammy will get more game time at torino than umar, yes but tammy will not make the roma team.
Bros make una dey try talk truth at times, even if someone is your favorite player, speak the truth, dont side a player because he his nigerian.
Mind you i dont like tammy abraham for snubbing the eagles, but i have to speak the truth,he is a better player than umar To he fair at Torino he also had Belotti to contend with. Don't know what happened at Bologna sha. Yeah Sadiq has potential and all but Tammy is ahead. This honestly shouldn't be an argument |

Kog45: I think the rise of football academy really had negative impact on NPFL cos agents believe better to get them from academy due to low transfer fee and not really about talents cos talents abound in NPFL. Great point. At least 75 percent of our prospects go straight abroad without playing in the NPFL. |

BascoVanVeli: Does that change the fact that players like Odey and Alhassan are doing well in Europe? Must all our players play in Europe before u agree that we have some special talents at home. All this downgrading of people based on X and Y is ridiculous, u are using 2 players to downcast the entire league. Not just two players, but performances in continental competitions and views from people who watch the league. Can you honestly say our league is Top 5 in Africa? |
