forgiveness: Honestly, I prefer Musa going to the world Cup than other wingers fighting for his wing because he is experienced and talented.
Na sure banker em dey go world cup. Plus he has goals in him. I don't like his allround play one but with Onyekuru just coming back from injury, we need all the goals we can get. Let's look for an AM |

daveP: Impact players. Iwobi may not be a game changer cos he still has a lot to learn, but beat your chest and tell me point blank that he wouldn't have done better on the wing than Welbeck that kept passing back when he had space to dribble thru and do something. The three times he tried to dribble, he was dispossessed and one of such even led to the goal that Griezmann buried. Haba.
Iwobi would dribble that defender and at least due to pressure, can get hacked down in the PK box cos of the rough way those ATM defenders were doing. Pls.
Sometimes, it's not just about the best 11.
We have coaches and managers bringing on players that have just one contribution to a game even if they are bench warmers. we've seen that alot in the UCL.
Iwobi, would have made a breakthrough on that flank than a wasteful, less confident Welbeck any day. If you were making a case for Iwobi coming on for Wilshere or even Lacazette, then maybe. But Welbeck?? His athleticism alone is why you don't take him off. Arsenal were still creating chances and should've scored 3-4 without the substitution. If anything, I'd have brought on AMN for his pace to deal with Atleti's counter. |

KevinDein: Arteta or Vieira would be a huge gamble.
I'm obsessed with Thomas Tuchel. I genuinely believe he is better than Klopp...yeah, there, I said it. A much better tactician. He seem to be stalling on signing the psg contract on offer. Apparently, he considers the Arsenal job a better and bigger challenge.
I'd be over the moon if we get Tuchel. I've been saying the same thing for a while now. Tuchel should've been signed last season. Us appointing Sven personally rules that out. They both hate each other. |

Spy360: The board will most probably appoint someone without too much in their CV but has huge potentials.
Gazidis said the appointment would be 'a bold one'.
So Vieira and Arteta are main bets.
Roland17 thinks Vieira is poo, but with two semi finals in the MLS I think he has some pedigree.
Roland's choice amongst our ex players is Arteta perhaps because of his closeness to Pep.
I'd gamble on any of the two. Skysports are saying Gazidis prefers Arteta with Enrique and Nagelsmann in the running. I'd pick Nagelsmann out of the three. Arteta isn't ready yet. |

Spy360: Wenger only managed an average side for a top club. A new manager will only explain how Wenger managed to do that over the years. Boy, we are frugal. And Wenger is not the excuse. I honestly don't trust this board. We're now hearing rumors about Wenger wanting a defender and the board didn't get him one, wanting Martial/Malcom and Sven got Mkhitaryan instead. Aubamayeng was apparently forced on the guy...wanted to keep Alexis instead. |

Mujtahida: Socrates, the Brazilian football wizard cum medical Doctor said "Beauty comes first. Victory is secondary. What matters is joy.”
That's why I loved Ronaldinho. He was a throbbing exhilarating dynamo of joy, passion and sublime skill rolled into one.
Today it is power, pace and passing that matters.
Once Messi retires, the door to the era of football as an art form will firmly be better bolted.

This is his first season in the league and he has 13 goals already despite playing less minutes compared with Lukaku that has scored 16 upon all his EPL experience. Cut him some slack. sod09: God bless you...I was just shaking my head Did you see how auba changed everything Yep. I now see why Wenger played Welbeck ahead of him in big games earlier in the season. His stamina is poor as well. Talented guy, don't get me wrong but he's majorly lacking in the physical department. I was reading on twitter where one of the youth coaches at Lyon said they felt the only position he'd make it in was a number 10 because of his poor physical qualities. |

kokaneprodigy: i don’t agree with ur stance on Lacazette, imagine someone that has watched Giroud for years saying Lacazette is too slow. And on physical front I saw him bully Westham defenders well. Dunno the Laca u talking abt. He is only marginally quicker than Giroud. The only thing is he's much better on the ball. Now imagine if he had Welbeck's physical qualities. The guy deceived us at Lyon. I thought he'd be at least close to Theo pace. |

Kog45: Don't you think Sallah goal scoring has limited his dribbling compared to when he was at Chelsea cos Sallah of today is very precise in front of goal. Nah he's scored a few solo goals this season. Plus we see glimpses of it almost every game. With this Nacho's argument, I'll give you the example of Thierry Henry. Flying Winger as a young player. When he got converted and became an accomplished CF, you still see glimpses of his skill and dribbling every game as he occasionally drifts wide and beats a man when he has to. Can you honestly say that of Nacho in regards to his dribbling?? At least we glimpses of his precise short passing and final ball. Same can't be said of his dribbling. |

asha80: some renowned playmakers didnt have so much mobility though(riquelme)..secondly at safe passing you dont think this started when he was pushed to that defensive postion?trying to play it safe because that wasnt his default role?how come we didnt really see this safe passing during his under20 era?i watched that u20 in netherlands well and i dont remember him engaging too much in safe passing How does that prove we didn't know Mikel was already a highly technical player? Like I've said - I've never seen any Chelsea fan that doubted Mikel's technical ability. You said me doubting Iheanacho dribbling and style of play was similar to Mahrez in his U17 days is like saying Mikel doesn't give defence splitting passes and I'm telling you there has been proof of Mikel's passing ability in his first 2 seasons. I haven't seen proof of Nacho's dribbling being similar to that of Mahrez. I haven't seen any city fan say they've seen glimpses of it. It's always the same thing - vision and great finishing. |
