This news is not on BBC or Aljazeera. I wonder where CNN do get their news from |
It is quite unfortunate. The whole situation seems to be getting w0rse each day. The w0rst part is that the army and the FRSC have also joined in the extortion. The army together with the police will stop commercial vehicles, and if you are a young man with wavy hair, they will take you aside to search your phone. This usually happens along the road between Okigwe and Umuahia. |

*How many protests did Sowore organise to push for my freedom? Sowore’s claim of fighting for the masses contradicts his alleged daily lodging expenses of N450,000 at a popular Lagos hotel." Sir, the highlighted part of your response clearly explains the reason for your alignment. We understand that if you cannot fight them, you join them, but own it and stop beating around the bush. You are neither the first nor will you be the last. Reno, Cubana both the boss and his apprentice and Bewala have all joined the ship. |
They don't plan well when they make it big. |
If we want to defeat Boko Haram or insu.rgency in Nigeria, we need to involve Isr.ael. Their terrain looks similar to what we have in Nigeria, and we need their experience and intelligence gathering techniques. They have mastered how to fight this war even more than the US. Virtually all the Iranian leaders except the president and the foreign minister have been k!lled. It is high time we engage them in our w@r against terro.rism in Nigeria. |
The problem is not with the true people of Lebanon but the mi.ltia group (Hezbollah) residing in Lebanon. |

This guy thar talks anyhow on social media especially against Peter Obi. Hmm. What has he said this time. He must have stepped on the wrong toes. Unfortunately for him, not everyone ignores like PeterObi. I pray and hope nothing happens to him. |
Guyman02:If they did why are they buying Shaheed from Iran? |
It was the era of might is right. When Iran was Persia, it was as powerful as both USA and Israel combined. It invaded any nation it wanted, conquered, killed men, women, children, animals and even deported some. There was no global outcry because there was no globe, just a bunch of countries and empires doing what they could and liked. When Iran was Persia, people didn't protest in Nigeria as it overan any country. Neighbours only wished and prayed to whatever deity they believed for protection. The crimes of powerful nations against weaker ones were totally satanic and sardonic when Iran was Persia. When some parts of Iraq was Babylon, same crimes happened. When other parts of it were Assyria, same story. When Italy was the Roman Empire, same atrocities, if not more took place. The Greeks, The Macedonians, the Ottomans, the British, the Spanish and every Empire that existed did all that. The last of them was Nazi Germany and it didn't shy from magnifying evil and artrocities. Technically the USA isn't an empire as the Persian or British empires were, but it is still as powerful as they were. The selfish interest of the powerful empires and nations, even to the detriment of the weaker ones has stubbornly remained a constant. The powerful nation is never driven by any altruistic or divine purpose, they are always driven by the insatiable egos of their rulers and interests of the Nation no matter what it costs the weaker nations. That hasn't changed today. There are more Christians in Iran than in Israel, more Muslims in Israel than Christians. This is for those who take sides or show sympathy rigidly based on religious sentiments and affinity. Saudi Arabia is regarded as the birthplace of Islam, yet they are ally to America and never chant "dead to America and Israel". Same goes for Kuwait, the UAE, they are Muslim contries by identity yet they have convivial relationship with the USA which hardliners in Iran see as the SATAN. My point is, if you are taking sides based on religion, you are simply an idiot refusing to consider obvious facts. However, my focus is on the weaker nations. To survive sometimes, you make a deal with the powerful nation. That's how weaker nations were spared of total annihilation when Iran was Persia, they made a deal on the terms and conditions of Persia. It was no symbiotic deal, the best a weaker nation could get is plea for some leniency and concessions. Here is Iran today, blessed with oil and gas in such quantities that could turn the nation into one of the wealthiest in the world. Instead their leaders are pursuing a religious ideology and nuke ability. These pursuits hasn't worked out for them, it has brought them woes. Why insist on them at the detriment of the common people? Once again, I'm limiting the scope of this piece to survival. Does Iran have right to own nukes as some of their counterparts,YES, but that's not gonna be my focus. Japan, Germany and most of the wealthy western countries to which Iranian citizens run to for a better life aren't nuke nations and they have freedom of religion but not religious ideology. Besides Israel, Iran's closest neighbors like Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, The UAE do not have nukes and are flourishing in peace and prosperity. Don't tell me about human rights or anything. To have nuclear weapon is not a human right. It is already unfortunate for humanity that some countries possess it, one more having it doesn't translate to human right. In any case, this doesn't canonise America and Israel as saints doing God's will as some deluded christians think. The invasion of Iraq, ouster of Ghaddafi of Libya, military actions in places like Afghanistan should teach us unforgettable lessons about USA's foray into the "might is right" heresy. So, this is me saying that the Iranian leaders uncannilly brought ant infested gays into their nation, not an endorsement of Israel and the USA. It is about survival, but fanatics rather die and sacrifice others for their ideologies than survive. Iran should learn how weaker nations survived when Iran was Persia and apply it now. It is easier today to avoid wars and invasion, far much easier than it was few decades going back. When same America came for Nigeria with the promise of ending 'christian genocide', the naive excitement of many people quickly gave way to frustration and disilussionment as the Tinubu government found a way to make a deal and now seem to be in partnership with the USA. No more bombings, no threat of invasion again. It looks like Uncle Sam has got what he is looking for, and wiping out our terrorists, bandits, corrupt leaders and agents of insecurity isn't it, or maybe not a priority yet. Might is not right. Right is also not might, don't just fight because you are right when you don't have the might. Our Lord Jesus taught this wisdom about making peace with an aggressor if you can't match his might at war, in Lk14:31 When Iran was Persia, eggs weren't this available and affordable, now they are. All we need to survive and thrive are eggs not nukes.

Maitunbi:They have one already. |
BodyCount:You're the one that's daft. Go and read about lucas and shahed then come back and reply. That you lack manner or they failed to instil one in you does mean you can come and be calling people names. Go and read about how the shahed came about. Btw, US had their own kamikaze drones which was used by Ukraine against Russia. |
Maitunbi:They've achieved that and it's called LUCAS. |
AJSfan:Not to intercept but to strike. Striking with expensive missiles worth millions doesn't make sense when they can strike with LUCAS that's around 32000 usd. |
BodyCount:You forgot that even almighty Russia had to rely on the same drone to fight Ukraine. Iran too copied the idea from idea from Israel. |
Firstcitizen:You forgot that even almighty Russia had to rely on the same drone to fight Ukraine. Iran too copied the idea from idea from Israel. |
Epiphany77:You may think you know or have it all, until war starts. It's your ability to adjust that determines whether you can succeed or survive. Even Russia as advanced as they are had to rely on the same Iranian drone. Ukraine in return had to start developing their own affordable and effective missiles. |
WriteerNg:While Iran stole from Israel. ![]() |
In addition, the United States has also developed its own version of the Shahed drone, known as The Low-cost Uncrewed (Unmanned) Combat Attack System (LUCAS). For those who may not understand the reason behind this move, it is largely due to cost considerations. Many of the weapons currently used by the United States are very expensive to produce and deploy. As a result, there is a growing need to develop cheaper but still effective drones and missiles. For instance, it doesn't make sense to use a missile worth millions of dollars to intercept a drone that costs about $20,000. With its current air superiority over Iran, the more practical approach is to rely on these lower-cost weapons for such engagements.

There's no way they can fight with missiles flying left and right. That's a huge risk. |
Azerbaijan preparing 'retaliatory measures' following drone strike published at 16:23 16:23 In our last post, we brought you a report that Azerbaijan has closed part of its airspace, saying Iranian drones have crossed its borders. A little earlier, President Ilham Aliyev said Azerbaijan's armed forces have been instructed to "prepare and implement appropriate retaliatory measures" after it accused Iran of carrying out two drones strikes. "The targets of the attack were civilian facilities, including the Nakhchivan International Airport and its terminal building, a school, and other civilian sites, all treacherously struck by Iran," the statement adds. Azerbaijan’s foreign ministry said one drone struck the terminal building of the airport while another fell near a school building in Shakarabad. Two civilians were injured, it added. The general staff of the Iranian armed forces have denied any involvement in the incident and blamed Israel, BBC Persian reports. Source: BBC |
It’s 5th March already, and federal tertiary institution workers are still waiting for their salaries. The 25/35% arrears owed to some institutions have not been cleared either. Yet, they expect us to celebrate this news. |
Azerbaijan shuts airspace near Iran border for 12 hours Azerbaijan has closed part of its southern airspace near the Iranian border for 12 hours after reporting that Iranian drones had crossed into its territory. The move comes after Azerbaijan said drones from Iran crossed the border and struck areas in the country’s autonomous Nakhchivan exclave, damaging infrastructure and injuring civilians. Iran has denied responsibility for the incident, saying it does not attack neighbouring countries. Source: Aljazeera https://aje.news/0avpno?update=4368534 |

Unlike the Gulf states and Iraq's Kurdistan Region, Azerbaijan is not known to host any US bases, raising the question of why it was attacked. Iran has not given a reason for launching drones at an airport in the autonomous Nakhchivan region, but one answer might lie in the fact that Azerbaijan, on Iran’s north-west border, is a close strategic partner of Israel and the US. Relations between Azerbaijan - a secular but Shia Muslim-majority country - and Israel have deepened since the 2000s: Azerbaijan is a major buyer of Israeli weapons, Israel imports significant amounts of Azeri oil, and the two countries are believed to co-operate closely on intelligence, particularly with regard to surveilling Iran. Iran has long accused Azerbaijan of allowing Mossad, Israel’s intelligence agency, to operate on its territory, including helping Mossad agents kill Iranian nuclear scientists – a charge Azerbaijan has strongly denied.
