My friend the point is you are a glorified clerk with your Nigerian degree. It’s not about abroad, even here in Nigeria you will apply for proper jobs but you won’t get it because you are a product of a mushroom university competing with people who actually went to sound schools.

If you are happy earning N150k a month after 4 years in university, that’s fine. However in this same Nigeria some fresh graduates earn N2-5m a month. Is it not the same B.Sc? Why is their B.Sc getting them 2m a month and others can only get clerical work?

But there're some people who obtained their degree here in Nigeria and they're earning more. It's not just about the degree but what you can do with it and the nature of job.

This is what most graduates in Nigeria have been reduced to. Abroad these are jobs are for school leavers with 3 “o” levels. This is what the CEO of Monie point was talking about. Most Nigerian graduates won’t make the grade for proper graduate level jobs and will have to settle for effectively what are clerical jobs.

So think twice when you waste your life in a useless university course from a poor university in the name of collecting degree.

Abroad this abroad that. This is not abroad. In that same abroad, we Nigerians who are toilet cleaners, works in warehouse, supermarkets. The only special thing is the wage difference. A friend of mine used to operate a viewing centre where people come together to watch football. Out of envy, the landlord increased the rent of that place just to frustrate him. He eventually left the place for him to another place. Till date that place has continued to remain empty. No more money for the landlord as that place wa an empty land.

The above analogy is exactly what's happening in South Africa. Out of envy, immigrants have been asked to go home. They are not the government that is charged with the responsibility of providing basic amenities. Rather they contribute to the economy by paying taxes to the government, engage some of these South Africans. The transport sector is active as you need these people. Now that some of them have gone home, no more revenue to generate from them. The South Africans don't have the requisite skills to operate those businesses or be engaged by the White men.
